The house is located near the ocean and hundreds of miles beautiful trails. We saw Elk daily and seals on the rocks. Great cookware and nice linens. Had a great time! Just outside Orick but if you need food get it in Eureka or a bigger town

The house was very clean and well-appointed. The power in the community was out almost our entire first day due to a storm but there were so many activities available in the house even my toddler didn't get bored. We loved having puzzles, books, blocks, games, etc., it really made for a great 1/2 day indoors. The beds were firm but comfortable and very clean. The bathrooms had everything you could need. I really enjoyed hanging out in the sunroom reading and after the storm our kiddo loved finding all kinds of frogs and snails outside.
The ONLY drawback was that there was something wrong with the oven. When we turned it on, there was an extremely strong smell of gas so that the back door and kitchen windows needed to be opened and the range fan on high just to tolerate it. The inside of the oven seemed to be collecting soot so I'm not sure if the vent was malfunctioning but fortunately we only needed it briefly one morning.
Otherwise, the close access to the nearly-private beach was incredible. We spent two days exploring all of the close trails & access to the Redwoods parks and generally had a really great time!

No complaints about the home. Had everything we needed and was in a great location to explore the Redwoods. Would definitely stay here again.

This home is lovely. It was very comfortable to stay at - charming, with enough space to stretch out. The views are of cow-dotted prairies. Lovely book, puzzle & game selection.

This property was clean, comfortable and decorated extra cute. I would stay here again.

We had a nice stay at this house, close to the redwoods. House was very spacious and my kids appreciated the toys, games, and books. There was more than enough room for a family of 6. We enjoyed the views and the proximity to the redwoods!

We had the best time at this adorable little coastal farmhouse. The location could not have been more perfect for our trip to Redwood National to hike the Tall Trees Trail. The proximity to the cutest little beach at the end of the street was a major benefit as well. The house is cozy as can be! Squeaky clean and well stocked with everything we needed. Great place, I only wish we could've stayed longer.

This house was perfectly situated and serves as our home base for touring Redwoods National park, as well as the State parks in the Orick, Crescent City and Humboldt areas. The kitchen was well appointed and the beds were comfy. More comfortable pillows would have made things perfect. Plenty of comfortable space in the family room to rest and relax while not hiking. If you’re looking to cook or grill steaks or chicken, I would recommend picking up those items at n your way to town. Otherwise the Orick Market is very close by with plenty of dry goods, as well as hot dogs, sausage, etc. we also enjoyed our evening walks amongst the cows and appreciated proximity to the beach. Thank you for sharing your clean, spacious, and centrally located house with us!

The house was very comfortable. The kitchen had all the equipment needed for a great home cooked meal. The wrap-around porch quite charming. And at the end of the day, there was a cozy, warm bed. Loved all of it.

Biking to the beach and the cows.

I will rent this place over and over again. It was perfect. Epic ping pong tournaments in the garage. Bike rides to the beach in the rain. S’mores at the fire pit. No dry fire wood here for a fire but not a problem... purchased a bundle of dry fire wood at the Orick store just down the street. Amazing views. The house is so cozy. Everything was just perfect. Rainy days the whole time we were here, but we didn’t care. Something I very much appreciated was that the fridge was absolutely spotless! Plenty of room for all the food we brought and everything we needed in the kitchen was there. The 4 bikes were awesome. One of the bikes (the blue one) had a loose chain and fell off a couple times while we were riding, but we were able to get it back on each time, so not a big problem. Love this place. Can’t wait to come back.

This cute, spacious, well-decorated farm house was a fun stop on our west coast road trip. The views over the surrounding farms are beautiful. The location is fantastic: a short drive from the beach and extremely close to the southern portion of Redwood National Park. Only one shower and no dishwasher were a slight inconvenience, but overall we’d highly recommend this house.

We enjoyed the rural location. The kitchen was pretty well equipped. The location by the redwoods was very nice.

This house is conveniently located to the beach and many great hikes along the beautiful coastal redwood forests. The house is rustic but tastefully decorated and has everything you need for cooking for a large family. Would of given the house a 5 star rating if the water pump hadn’t failed the last evening of our stay. Luckily we discovered a back up tank so we could at least use the toilets! Hopefully Vacasa got the pump serviced and no one else will be inconvenienced as this house is in a remote location so you got to have running water!

This house was the perfect escape! We were able to just relax with the cows after a day of hiking or ride the bikes down to the beach. Thank you so much!

This coastal farm house is beautiful and is so cozy inside with a lot of space and rooms to use. There are some things that need updating especially the bathroom and yard/garden, but overall it was a good stay. Our kids love it and lovingly call it “the orange house” and wanted to return next year.

Loved that it was a nice and quiet getaway in the middle of a field full of cows surrounded by the redwoods. Me and my friends had the best time at this home - it was huge and spacious with a lot of the essential amenities. I'll be sure to come back again.
Very quiet an peaceful surroundings. You can really get away and relax there.
Great getaway rental. We had 6 adults and had plenty of space to relax and spend time with each other. The house was furnished with everything you needed plus some. Cute decor and clean. Great wildlife to observe and ocean just a short walk away. You can hear the waves in the distance from the house. Location of house feels private and quiet. They provided a book with all the information for surrounding areas, tidbits, restaurants, shopping, etc. They were quick to respond to questions.
Very relaxing and beautiful. Within minutes to Redwood Parks. Great peaceful place.
Me and four girlfriends stayed at the farmhouse for two nights. The home is just as advertised. Lots of room to spread out, plenty of comfortable beds, exceptionally clean, plenty of linens and blankets available for use indoor and some for outdoors around the fire pit. There was a bundle of wood available for the fire pit, but we unfortunately ran out of time to use it. The beach just down the road is stunning and the proximity to Prairie Creek State Redwood Park was so convenient. There was lots of information available in the home on what to do and where to eat in the area that came in handy for planning our trip down the coast when we left. There were lots of games available and a bookshelf full of books to read. I particularly enjoyed the den/family room that had a desk, sofa, love seat and TV in it as I had to work remotely from my laptop during the nights, and I was able to work late without disturbing everyone. Only minor complaint is there was no laundry soap (container was empty) and one of us wanted to do a small load of laundry. Also, we couldn't find more than one extra garbage bag for our trash. I've experienced the garbage bag issue in other rental units too, so maybe it's something people like to run off with or they use too many? I would definitely stay in this home again if in the area.
This property is in close proximity to the Redwood parks, 101, and the Pacific, and is nestled in the perfect location to be quiet and private. My family of 5 watched cattle, deer, coyotes, quail, and geese all from the porch every day. The short jaunt to the beach is fantastic and not crowded at all. The property is comfortable, well maintained and well stocked. The management goes out of the way to make sure you enjoy your stay.
The home was very clean and comfortable and the surroundings were picturesque. We would definitely stay in this property when we visit the Northern California coast.
The house was clean, the decor was charming, the rural setting was delightful and quiet, the ocean was nearby, and we were only a short drive from spectacular trails through the redwoods. We would love to return again.
This is a wonderful home, warm, bright and inviting! The owners have created a space that is very friendly and welcoming, from the moment you walk in the door. Details seem very important to the owners and they have not missed anything! This home is a quick bike ride to the ocean, on a very quiet road. The most noise you will hear are the cows 'mooing' across the road.
Excellent experience, I would highly recommend it.
Great place, comfortable, clean, spacious. Beds were super comfortable. Nice kitchen if you like cooking your own meals. Peaceful place to come back to at night
Our family has enjoyed the outdoors for years. Our National and State Parks always forefront. Education always at the top of the list. Most spent camping but as I've aged, as have my now adult children, we've come to appreciate the vacation home rental. This is certainly not the first, nor will it be the last. This August 3 thru 8, 2018 we were blessed to have secured Rainbow's End for a visit to the Redwoods National and State Parks. I live in a very rural setting in Iowa. Rainbow's End was like stepping into my own home. Quiet, comfortable, peaceful and surrounded by beauty found no where else on Earth. The home is situated within short travel distances of everything the Parks offer. The sea, the forests, the National Park Service programs, Ranger led hikes and the Visitor Centers. I found myself in the mornings, early riser, in the company of wild turkey, a pair of golden eagles, the covey of quail, hummingbirds and the black tailed deer. The area is rich in history worth exploring. Culturally, you need go no further than Orick. I found the locals to be open and friendly. Not once was I made to feel unwelcome. Had coffee at the Palm early and learned much of the area from the proprietors. The local grocer, hardest working man in Orick, always engaging. And, without a doubt, the coolest little convenience store you will ever need. Just look for the 'one' gas pump. I could go on and on. But one element puts you right where you need to be and that is the home. Rainbow's End is the perfect venue to make your adventure begin. You will not make a better choice. Everyone whose efforts made my visit so memorable deserve a heartfelt 'Thank You', but a very special 'Thank You' goes to the property owners for offering such a home to others. I will remember this kindness forever. Sincerely, William Jackson Lee County, Iowa
We had a wonderful stay in this very spacious, clean and well equipped house. Watching the fog roll in and all the birds that would gather outside the kitchen window was spectacular. The kitchen had everything we needed, and we enjoyed the games and books as well! It was fantastic to be so close to the entrance to the Redwoods.
The house was great - a very comfortable country home with a homey friendly feeling.
We had a great stay very satisfied with everything great place to stay we went everywhere great base camp
The house was room and comfortable. It's located off the beaten path in farm country. If you follow the road to the end you come to a large beach with almost no one on it. Great place for kids to play in the sand but the river but if you go farther the surf is immense. We used this house as a base for seeing the northern redwoods. One caution. There is little in the way of grocery shopping or restaurants on this part of the coast. So bring your own food. Real shopping is in Crescent City or the Eureka area
Lovely house with everything I needed for a vacation around the Redwood Forest - comfortable, clean, beautiful walk to beach and close to the Redwoods.
