This loft was very close to the Giant Steps Lodge and in a nice location. But the kitchen was only half functional and in need of updating and it sleeping 10 is a joke. My 10 year old wasn't able to sleep on the bunk bed because they were too close together
Manager response:
Hi Elizabeth, thank you for taking the time to send us your valuable feedback. While we understand that sleeping preferences vary widely, we are sorry to hear that the bed did not provide for a comfortable night of rest. We attempt to be as transparent with our listings as possible and provide accurate and current photos, amenities lists, and descriptions so guests can make an informed choice about what they are paying for and make the right decision for their needs. We regret that the kitchen did not meet your expectations. We encourage guests to reach out with any questions or concerns before booking, as we are happy to help. We look forward to hosting you again soon.

Great stay for 2 families with kids! This is the second time we have stayed in this unit and probably won't be the last. The location is great, the unit has all that you need, the garage is a plus, and everything is comfortable! Can't wait to return!

The Good:
Overall, this was a good place for to stay. Sleeps 6 in twin bunk beds in upstairs loft. 2 private bedrooms with very large bathrooms. Nice size dining area and nice kitchen. Lots of extra blankets, pillows, games, and extra sitting area in upstairs loft. Plenty big for a medium to large group. Was clean when we arrived.

The Not-so-Good:
First and foremost, the oven did not work at all. Its a GE Profile, you have to press two buttons simultaneously to turn it on, but it wouldn't turn on at all. We even downloaded the manual for that model online to ensure we were doing it correctly. Consequently, we could neither cook our dinner or our dessert. This rental is managed by Vacasa, so there is no owner to text, just a customer support 1-800 number that immediately put me on hold both times I called.

We checked in on February 27th, and there was still a 10ft Christmas tree in the corner of the living room with the large windows. Not only did it take up space, but it also blocks the incredible views we were so looking forward to.

On the property listing, confirmation emails, check-in information emails, etc. it says all over that you may only park 1 vehicle in the garage and there is no on-street parking per the HOA. The property (at the time) was listed as accommodating 10 guests, yet they only provide a single parking space. It took Vacasa a week to return an inquiry about where we're all supposed to park, and all they did was provide a link to a website ( that has public listings of places to park. This is not a major metropolitan area, there are no public parking garages or metered parking spaces. The only place listed there is the Best Western on the other side of town that it says is "for customers only". This was not helpful at all. Upon arrival, it became very apparent that Vacasa doesn't really know what they're talking about when it comes to the parking situation at this property. On every building of "The Lofts" there are signs posted about where you can park on the street and avoid snow removal issues while providing proper egress for vehicles exiting from garages. Follow the signs and instructions provided by the HOA and you'll be fine.

Couple of smaller items here:
- The main floor of this condo is the 3rd floor of the building, so the upstairs of the condo is the 4th floor of the building. Even now in the winter, it got very hot, and without the heater running at all. We had to open both the upstairs and downstairs patio doors to get some cool air inside and be able to breathe.
- There is a smoke detector dangling from the ceiling in the upstairs bathroom.
- You have to hold down the handle on the upstairs toilet to completely empty the tank to get it to flush at all. The downstairs toilet seems to be OK.
- The lock on the upstairs owners closet is not working and was open. Its an electronic lock and can't be locked from the outside without the key if its not powered on.
- We didn't find any specific checkout instructions like we do for most vacation rentals. Just a link in a text message to notify Vacasa when you leave. No instructions on garbage, towels, linens, heater, etc.
Manager response:
Hi Cody, thank you for taking the time to share the feedback following your stay. We sincerely apologize for the issues you found in the home and the difficulties you had reaching out to our team. We are actively adding new members to our team so that we can quickly assist guests. We confirm we are replacing the oven and have addressed the other issues mentioned. We hope to have another chance to impress you!

This places interior decoration shouts California. It was a great stay. Plenty of beds, not the most comfortable twins, but the bigger beds were nice. Jacuzzi tub, 90s arcade game, TV, had to sign into my own hulu. Didn't try any other streaming services. The condo was great for me and my group.

Perfect sleeping arrangement options.
Garage space was a nice offering for parking and gear (door connected to building hallway doesn't lock, but it felt safe enough).
Everything you need for a home away from home vacation. Lots of games-so fun! Careful the trash compactor is broken and it will come all the way out and smash foot/toe.
So clutch to have a washing machine and dryer.
Wonderful amount of linens and towels.
The view is spectacular and location perfect!
Would definitely book again.

Perfect location! The unit was clean and well equipped. Some minor issues but overall we enjoyed our stay.
Tausha P. Jul 2020
We loved our stay. The only complaint was the heat. It is a beautiful home with amazing views. It didn’t have an ac which is understandable for a primarily ski rental.

Our second time renting this property and it was even better this time! 5 star condo with sweeping mountain views. Location is ideal as our children were able to walk to the general store and restaurants. Host was amazing and was available for any questions that we had. Check in and check out was easy and the I loved everything about our stay. Can't wait to go back!!!!

Place was absolutely awesome! It’s really nice, and it is right next to everything. Highly recommend everyone to this place.

It was a fun experience staying at the lofts. I didn't like the workout going up the stairs to get to our unit but the view from the loft made it worth it!

Location is great. Very organized, all the information was given by email and did not have a single problem.
Anthony P. Sep 2018
The loft was very spacious and well stocked. Has beautiful views of the slopes at Giant Steps and centrally located to the local shops and restaurants. Our only complaint is that there was no cable TV; we were able to watch movie using our Netflix account though.

The condo was fantastic. Great location to the ski resort. Very clean, nice linens and furnishings. We stayed with family and friends for ski weekend. I would definitely recommend it.

Roxanna O. Nov 2016
Beautiful, clean and comfy. Beds were a little hard, kitchen a little under supplied but overall, great!! I'd definitely stay here again. Awesome service ny Vacasa!!
Manager response:
We're excited to report that the home has new ownership and they are very committed to making this home a popular retreat in the Brian Head area. They have already installed new beds & furniture, with other numerous upgrades. The owner is very sensitive to a well-stocked kitchen, so many cooking items have been added for better convenience. Thank you.
Jennifer B. Oct 2016
Great place to stay, with all the comforts of home (minus shades for those beautiful two-story windows, which would be a plus). Very clean, comfortable and furnished, with all the bedding, towels and cookware you would need. The resort, the park, the pizza place, the convenience store, etc. are all within walking distance, and there is great hiking all around. Given the location (right off the main throughway), it certainly doesn't feel like an isolated mountain retreat, but you won't find a cleaner, more comfortable home base, with easy access to your mountain adventure.
Sally H. Aug 2016
We booked this condo as a girls weekend for 7 people. We loved the large window with incredible views. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and eat. There was plenty of room for everyone. The furniture was comfortable. We had a blast playing games and hanging out. The only thing to keep in mind is that there are a ton of stairs. This made it difficult to carry all our supplies to the condo. If you stay here, I would suggest to drive to the back of the condo (on the dirt road on the north side of all the buildings) and have something with wheels to tote all your stuff to the condo. It is still a little ways, but only a few stairs.

Brian Head is a wonderful Alpine experience especially with it's cooler climate during summer. We were just minutes away from fabulous hikes and exceptional vistas not to mention the very talented and professional Shakespeare Festival.
Ellen C. Apr 2016
Beautiful condo that was perfect for our family of four to enjoy a spring break ski week.
