This 2 bedroom condo is ideal for a comfortable and clean place to hang out while visiting the mountains. The decor is modern and simple, the kitchen is fully stocked, and 2 large decks provide plenty of space to hang out and relax.

We looked at several properties in the area, and ended our search as soon as we found Halfback Retreat! This place was perfectly decorated, well-stocked, and exceptionally clean--it truly made for enjoyable experience to have such a cozy home base for our weekend. We enjoyed being so close to the slopes of Sugar mtn, but also an easy drive into Banner Elk or over to Beech. Loved waking up to that view out off the back patio, especially after we had 6 more inches of snow one morning! The little toys for the kiddos and to-go coffee cups for the adults were such thoughtful touches. We would love to come stay again!

We had a wonderful time at the condo this weekend. The snow amount 6" was awesome and beautiful!. My son had a blast skiing. The plow trucks came on Friday to clean the road helped a lot! As we were doing our last cleaning of the kitchen before departure we looked up and saw a deer eating on the bushes. Beautiful scene.
