You could also head north through the San Juan Mountains to reach Purgatory, which offers 1,360 skiable acres and five terrain parks for riders of all skill levels. And if you want to take a fascinating trip back in time, wander through the Anasazi cliff dwellings of Mesa Verde National Park just 38 miles west.
