Escape to the greenery, fresh air, and serene surroundings of the Northern California Coast and settle into this inviting home away from home. Comprising a cozy studio and a three-bedroom side of the cabin, this is a perfect space for two groups or a large family to spread out. After a day of adventure, everyone can kick back on the private deck and grill up some burgers or head inside to prepare a more in-depth meal in the full kitchen. Plus, with free WiFi and a flatscreen TV in the living room, you will have no lack of entertainment as the stars come out!

What's nearby:
Sitting on beautiful acreage, this retreat is just the place to get away from it all while still being a mere three miles from the heart of Orick. The Northern California Coast is known for its raw beauty and towering trees, and you will have access to it all within minutes of your front door. If hiking is on the agenda, simply make your way to the Trillium Falls Trail (one mile), Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park (three miles), or the famous Redwood National and State Parks (10 miles south). Then explore the primeval ferns of Fern Canyon and the moody beaches of Northern California, and learn their secrets on a guided tour with Redwood Adventures. You can also get your fill of salty air and soft sand by following Davison Road to Golden Bluffs Beach.

Things to know:
The hot tub is currently not available
There is a surveillance camera on the property at the entry gate pointing toward the highway, and one on the fence by the water tanks facing Valley Green Camp Road with a wide view of the property
Smaller groups can book both sides of this cabin as Elk Meadow 11A Roosevelt Elk Suite and Elk Meadow 11B Roosevelt Elk Studio
Food and Dining: The wildlife is fantastic because Elk Meadow Cabins is remote. We highly recommend that you bring your own groceries or make reservations at nearby sit-down restaurants. The Orick town market and Shoreline Deli are our nearest convenience stores.

My parents, my dog and I stayed here for about 1 week and had pretty much everything we needed. We loved watching the elk, quail and the barn swallows and the location was perfect as a home base for all of our adventures in the Redwoods.

We rented 2 cabins for extended family. They were clean and well equipped. Great central location for adventures

The 'cabin' is really a mini house with all comforts you need. We missed nothing and there were some nice extras like having hotel style coffee and cocoa packages ready to quickly have something warm to drink after coming in from a hike. The location is superbly close to Prairie Creek and Gold Bluff Beach access and a group of Elk wandered over the property at sunrise and sunset !

We had a terrific stay in this home. It is in a safe, easy to manage location. My family rented 3 cabins for a family vacation over my 50th birthday. The kids were able to roam back and forth without any concern which was fabulous. Cabin #13 does not have an oven which would have been nice to know ahead of time. The dryer is also dying; it took 3 cycles to dry our towels after washing. Since there are 10 people allowed in each cabin, it also would have been nice to have 10 mugs/cups. Luckily I brought paper so it worked out alright. The elk decided not to make an appearance which was disappointing. It would also be nice if the property listed #17 as ADA accessible, as it has a wheelchair ramp. On of our family members is handicapped and it was harder to lift him up the 3 steps into the houses. Once in, he was set. Just a thought. The maintenance man was super friendly and helpful. Plenty of blankets provided which is good in even froze one night! We would definitely recommend this property.
