Perfect for a family vacation. We loved sitting on the porch and watching the River . Appreciated the kayaks. My husband tried fishing but nothing was biting apart from the turtles! The house was bright, modern and really clean.

Great location! Lovely home! Lots of beautiful views! However, you might want to let people know there are a lot of steps up…we are senior citizens but in good shape…some might not have been able to handle the stairs! And you might want to post a sign for your upstairs bedroom to duck if you are over 5 ft! My hubby scraped his poor bald head! We had an enjoyable time and we will come back & tell others! Thanks!

A great place, new home with a great view to the water. All the amenities were in the home that you would expect. There was never a problem during our stay. Would recommend to anyone.

Great property! We really enjoyed our stay. Would have loved a few basics like salt/pepper/oil- but otherwise everything was wonderful. The covered porch was so nice for breakfast snd the water crafts were an AWESOME addition! We caught lots of small fish, had a bbq on the back porch (so great to have a grill provided) and paddles on and off everyday. Super relaxing! We really enjoyed this home and the property management was terrific; very responsive. The home was nicely furnished with many extra amenities. They had both a Keurig and a basket-style coffee makers but no filters for the 2nd. I had asked what kind of filters were needed before the stay but they didn`t know.
Also, be aware the access to the upstairs loft/half bath is a spiral staircase so that could be tricky for some.

We enjoyed the paddle boat and kayaks. there were several kid-sized life jackets but only one XL adult life jacket.

We picked this location for its proximity to Longhorn State Cavern Park. It made for an easy Park visit. This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.

The place is incredibly clean and it`s so peaceful right there on the river. We took our daughter and in-laws up there and it was great. Plenty of space for everyone to sleep and eat and hangout. If it`s going to be cold, bring some tea or hot chocolate so you can enjoy sitting out on the covered patio. We really enjoyed our stay! It was a beautiful home on a quiet portion of the river. We enjoyed kayaking and spending time on the screened-in porch. We were even given early check-in and late check-out without asking, which made our stay feel even longer, and was appreciated. I had a girls trip and it was perfect for us. We did a lot of cooking so an entertaining space was important for me when finding a vacation rental. The common areas were perfect. We were so happy to be able to use the kayaks and paddle boat. There were plates, flatware and cooking pans/utensils so you don’t have to worry about bringing your own. Internet, TV, and games are also provider. We loved the screened in porch! I would recommend you bring water bottles because the water smells like sulfur. Such a great time! This riverfront property is very charming. It has been newly remodeled and the furniture is nice and comfortable. The location is superb and the views are great. We really enjoyed the kayaks. The paddle boat is extremely heavy and impossible to put in the water so we avoided that one. The internet is VERY slow. Just be aware of that should you be planning to use it. The water smells like rotten eggs so bring your own drinking water. That’s crucial.

Our biggest issue was the attached Screen Porch. The weather was gorgeous and we desperately wanted to spend time out there. It was a main reason for booking this place. However, we couldn’t because it was completely covered in live spiders (all sizes), egg sacs, and spider webs. I’ve never seen anything like it. My children were terrified. I attempted to clean it myself but a broom only caused the live spiders to fall on me and the vacuum was useless at sucking them up. I don’t mind a few spiders here and there but this was over the top. I don’t even mind spider webs outside the property but when you have an enclosed outdoor space it should be clean and free of pests.

I immediately complained to the Property Manager and they tried to blame the cleaning woman which made me sad. She keeps the interior of the home very clean. That porch is beyond her duties and should be regularly managed by a professional pest control company! I’m not sure it ever has been. I think they’re just being cheap which is even more troublesome. Running a vacation home is a business and it costs money to keep your guests feeling comfortable and safe. If you’re not going to properly manage that outdoor room, it should be disclosed beforehand and not highlighted as a main feature. This is just what our family needed for a getaway this summer. The property was clean and loved the shade of parking under the house. The screened in porch was great to relax and not worry about bugs. We loved being able to use the kayaks also. Well thought out house with just the right amenities. Our family enjoyed our stay at the LBJ Oasis. The house was very clean and accommodating. We were close to all the attractions and activities we wanted to take part in. We were just minutes away from Inks Lake State Park and Longhorn Cavern State Park. We were forty minutes from Balcones Nature Preserve and Krause Springs, but it was an easy drive. We loved being right on the water. The kids went on the kayaks and paddle boats every evening.
A couple of things to take note of that are not in description of the house: they do have a BBQ pit for grilling, but it is a good idea to bring your own charcoal. Also make sure you bring extra paper towels and tall garbage bags. Our only complaint was the Wifi, it was very slow.
All in all, we had a fabulous time and would definitely return!! This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.

We went to the cottage for Father’s Day weekend. It is a beautiful setting on the water. We did lots of fishing and swimming. Unfortunately the double kayak had a major leak in it and was unusable. That meant only the one person kayak was available and couldn’t go out with our kids at the same time. There was only one tube so I suggest bringing your own, like we did. The cottage itself is small but clean and had everything we needed on hand. There were some maintenance issues. The kitchen sink leaked all over the floor but my husband was able to tighten the pipe and stop it. The bathtub drained so slow it was like having a bath when showering. Overall the cottage worked for us fine and my kids loved the secret room. The deck is lovely to sit out own and we saw lots of wildlife. It was a memorable weekend. We had a great stay at this little cabin on the water. It`s rustic but comfortable. The beds are good, a/c works well. Fair water pressure. There are step downs in the house. The wildlife is abundant. Very quiet. Good little fishing hole. Deck has dock to tie a small boat up, to access the Colorado River and lake. Full kitchen and you are the dishwasher. We had a wonderful time! This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.

We enjoyed this rental mostly because of the shady location and Kayaks. I would consider renting here again but all renters need to know there is no dishwasher and no ice maker and you need to bring your own water. Also the shower has no pressure, so if you need to wash your hair, it would be impossible for long hair. I just didn`t wash my hair and we ate out the whole time. It was quiet and peaceful which was nice. I would only recommend this property if you know all the above up front. Kiddos loved the kayaks! Impressed that life vests for kids and adults were available. We had everything that we needed. The secret room was awesome! This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.
