This town may be tiny, but Mineral, Virginia is a popular spot for a variety of visitors, from festival-goers to water sports enthusiasts. Lake Anna is just a few miles away, so many of Mineral’s vacation homes function as lake houses for vacationers spending their afternoons on the water. Local festivals include the Lake Anna Wine Festival, Mineral Bluegrass Festival, and the Harvest Festival, all delightful ways to enjoy your visit to Mineral. If you’re looking for a lake escape from your busy New York City or Boston life, a Mineral, Virginia rental could be the ideal getaway.

This house worked great for our group of nine women for three nights. The time of year was perfect - the lake was warm, but not hot, and we were able to use nearly all of the amenities. There was plenty of space for all of us and the house had just about everything we needed. The dock and outdoor space is great - I can't imagine a better set up. Although the listing doesn't mention it - there are five kayaks for use down by the water, which was awesome. As for some of the reviews about the water/septic/etc. we didn't notice any problems. The water in the toilet bowls and some areas of the tubs have hard water stains, which all of us were used to and familiar with - there's no getting around that with well water, it doesn't mean it's dirty. Additionally, we all had hot water with good water pressure, even when several people were showering at the same time. The hot tub control panel wasn't working when we first got there, but I texted our contact and someone was there to fix it within an hour. All in all, a great stay - we definitely plan on coming back as a group for our trip next year. This is the first house we've stayed in that we agreed we should put on repeat. While there are some small, minor things they could improve upon, we were very impressed overall, especially given how reasonable the price point is compared to other homes on the lake. We also appreciated the late check out upgrade option and how Vacasa doesn't require you to basically clean the whole house before leaving.
