In the winter, make the quick trip to Beaver Mountain Ski Area, around 18 miles away. There, you'll find multiple trails for cross-country skiing, snow-shoeing, snowmobiling, and sledding. Should the lake freeze over, ice fishing is something everyone can try together, though fishing is still allowed throughout the year.
