Comfortable nice house with a great location!
Frank S. | Jun 2025
The house has three levels with five bedrooms, two baths, and easily accommodates several generations of families or groups of adults. It was well-stocked with towels, bedding, cleaning & laundry supplies, as well as small appliances and basic cooking ingredients, seasonings, etc. The central Newport location gives easy access to beaches, bay front, restaurants, etc. We would definitely stay here again if needing to accommodate a large group.

We had a great time with family and grandkids, the house's were central to everything we wanted. 1 block to Don & Ann Park Cazebo and access to the beach with a paved walkway. A 3 minute drive to Georgie's Beachside Grill Banquet room an less than 7 minutes to the Aquarium and Mo's Seafood restaurant and waterfront. Everyone who is reserving the place should inquire about the hot tubs, they advertise 1 in each house, but actually only 1 is currently working. Consider bringing 1-2 night lights, the place gets very dark and the stairway is steep. The House's need lots of TLC and some deep cleaning. This could be a 5 Star ⭐ place with some additional attention to details and minor updates. When you spend $1k per house per night, you should get 5 star ⭐ accommodations. Being with family and my soulmate made up for the minor inconveniences we encountered. If improvements were made we might consider coming back, it was the only place on the Oregon Coast that could handle my family size. I will say that Vacasa did offer a small refund for the Hot tubs not working.

Through partnering with Beachside Vacation Rentals, we offer a selection of beach homes on the Oregon Coast that's better than ever!

The North Central Oregon Coast

With the well-earned reputation as one of the best spots on the scenic Oregon Coast for whale watching in the winter and spring months, staying in Depoe Bay offers a quiet, oceanfront home-base on the coast. You can visit one-of-a-kind shops, experience local, chef-driven cuisine at Restaurant Beck, and just relax in the salty, fresh ocean air.

Choosing to book a home in fun-filled Newport puts you in the heart of all the action: this town is home to a number of star attractions like the world-famous Oregon Coast Aquarium, the headquarters for Rogue Ales, and the gorgeous Yaquina Head Outstanding Natural Area. Neighborhoods include a charming, historic bayfront with maritime-themed murals, the artsy Nye Beach district, and the striking architecture of the Art Deco district.

Blink and you may miss tiny Seal Rock as you travel south along picturesque Highway 101. But if you take the time to discover this small community, you will be rewarded with tide pools, spectacular seabird watching, gorgeous, rocky scenery, and a charming vacation rental for a romantic getaway or an adventure-packed family vacation.

In contrast to Newport's hustle and bustle, a stay in a cozy vacation rental in Waldport, just 15 miles south, offers peace and quiet, along with opportunities for fishing, crabbing, and clamming in both the ocean and along the Alsea River. But not just for outdoor adventurers, relatively sleepy Waldport has a great, peaceful location right between Newport and Yachats.

The South Central Oregon Coast

Home to beach-side hiking trails, an organic coffee house, popular restaurants, and a cute downtown area, making the charming town of Yachats your home base means you'll also be close to wonderful sites like Cape Perpetua, the Carl G Washburne Memorial Park, and the historic Heceta Head Lighthouse.

A getaway to Florence puts you right at the gateway to the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area. Like a lot of Oregon beach towns, there's a river flowing through the windswept terrain and into the ocean. Here, it's the wild Siuslaw River, just on the south end of city, bordering the Old Town neighborhood. Here you can spend the afternoon people watching outside Siuslaw River Coffee Roasters (and don't forget to pick up some beans to take back home - a lot of our vacation homes have their own coffee grinders!), enjoying a dinner out, or having fun browsing one of the many art galleries.

Find your ideal beach vacation getaway from our always-growing collection of wonderful Central Oregon Coast vacation rentals! Whether you seek a laid-back style or high-end luxury, a small, quiet village or tourist-packed town, you're sure to find the perfect setting for your Oregon Coast retreat.
