The cabin was great for our trip, met our needs as a group of three. Main shower upstairs was awesome with two shower heads. Fireplace makes things nice and cozy, but also appreciated the split unit to cool things down when needed during the shoulder season. I thought bed was comfortable enough but my travel buddies found them too firm. The kitchen is well-stocked as far as equipment and utensils. Plenty of towels. Appreciated availability of washer and dryer though didn't need to use it. Nice quiet location. Close enough to town, close to a couple coffee shops and drive thrus. Easy drives to all that Flathead valley has to offer. The fire pit wasn't available due to seasonal burn ban, according to info in the binder, which I completely understand but this wasn't mentioned anywhere in the listing or in emails as it probably should be.. if we hadn't reviewed the binder, we wouldn't have known. A couple streaming services stopped working on the living room tv on our last night (but worked on bedroom tv so wasn't internet-related), so that was a bummer. Also, the cabin does have a slightly off-putting smell to it that was hard for us to place (?garbage?) and the candle on the kitchen table seems telling like owners are aware…. But it wasn't too strong and we got used to it, fortunately.
First Chair has lots of opportunities for improvement (portal capabilities, communication, information provided, email details), but the cabin rental itself was very good and I'd still recommend it.
