Right on the lake, nice space, comfortable beds/furniture. Hog Island Market just down the road for forgotten supplies.

This was our third visit to this home. Wonderful location with great views of frozen Lake Champlain and the snow capped mountains. Easy access to Grand Isle and North Hero. And of course, Burlington! comfortable space. One issue my wife and I had was the inadequate WiFi. Maybe a new router? Otherwise, I can’t wait to come back!

I cannot say enough about this property. It was the absolute best week ever. The house itself is absolutely beautiful. The open floor plan and the spacious nature made it so comfortable. The almost floor to ceiling windows overlooking the mountains and lake truly made our stay. The home was super clean throughout and well equipped with everything we needed. Because it is the off season, the area was so quiet and so peaceful, which really added to the beauty. We needed to contact Vacasa twice during our week (to actually extend our stay because it was so wonderful and to receive a new key code) and they were speedy, professional, accommodating, and kind. The easy proximity to Burlington and Winooski was just perfect. Thank you Vacasa for making our wedding week absolutely a dream come true.

Much of Vermont is verdant and lush, and the Lake Champlain region near the Quebec and Northern New York borders isn't any different. The Lake Champlain Islands are known for their majestic seashores and gorgeous mountain views. The area boasts 200 miles of pristine coastline - you might even spy Champ, the mythic monster that is said to reside in the lake! - as well as apple orchards and farmers markets galore.

Spotted by Samuel Champlain in 1609, the area was strategic in the War of Independence and was home to several pitch battles during the War of 1812. Two centuries later, the region is a tourist mecca, thanks to beautiful beaches, places for peaceful reflection, and eager locals wanting to lend a helping hand. Our Vermont vacation rentals on these small but scenic islands offer the best respite for the weary traveler.
