Our family of 6 (4 adults and 2 kids) stayed at the Hideaway Chalet this November to attend a family members wedding. The wedding was held at Friends Lake Inn, just about 10 minutes away and it worked out perfectly. The cabin was very clean, cozy, and warm, even in the basement. It was rainy some of the weekend and the electric fireplace was super nice. The kids enjoyed playing the games and exploring a little around the cabin outside. There are some other homes/cabins around the area, but it was very quiet and you could not see the other places from the cabin itself. There's not much in the area in term of stores etc so we were glad we brought all the food we needed etc. All the appliances were working and the stove even seemed brand new. There was lots of closet space and drawers in the bathroom to put your things. FYI: They do request you remove all your trash yourself at the end of your stay. Luckily, one of our cars had room, but that might be helpful to know in advance. Also, being run by a company as opposed to a individual owner, it is not as personal an experience as we've had in the past. For example, it would have been much easier for us to be able to check in slightly early (when it wasn't dark out already), but it was just automatically stated they couldn't tell us if this would be possible until the day of check-in, which doesn't help us much when we are traveling from a distance and need to plan our departure time in advance. Just something to keep in mind. Otherwise, a great experience and stay.
The view from this home was amazing. Beautiful morning sunrises. The home was very clean and well appointed. The kitchen was very well equipped, it even had a citrus squeezer! I would highly recommend .
The home was lovely and was well supplied with all necessities. Loved sitting on the deck with a cocktail and enjoying the lake view
