Kingfisher Cabin #27 was definitely a great find. We were looking for a little getaway for us and the kids during Thanksgiving break and this home fit the bill. The home is warming, clean and well designed and it's exterior and interior are all made of beautiful gleaming pine logs that really makes you feel like you on vacation. The location also makes you feels like you are in the deep woods, but you are actually so close to so many attractions, restaurants and shops in nearby Saugatuck and beyond. We'll look forward to return to Kingfisher #27 again in the summer or in the off-season or both!

This was a nice cottage for a getaway for my wife and I. It is small, but it’s all we needed. The bedrooms are cozy and decent sized, we didn’t not feel cramped in the main bedroom. It could be tight for 4 adults since there is limited comfortable seating in the main room. However, in the warmer months you’ll likely be spending more time outside or out and about in the town. The burlap window shades don’t provide much privacy at night when the interior lights are on, but the cottage is pretty secluded with trees. The property management company left a pumpkin pie for us on the table, since we were spending Thanksgiving there. They also left a ball and treat for our dogs and provided two bundles of firewood for the bonfire… very nice and thoughtful of them. The cottage interior was clean and fresh. The furnace filter that is visible in the ceiling was extremely dusty and needs replaced. It lacked an ironing board and can opener. The kitchen looks like it was recently updated, the counter tops are very nice and the shelving gives a functional open feel in a smaller space. Note, there is not a dishwasher. We knew this prior to booking so we were not caught off guard. The internet was fast and stable and the cable TV worked fine, with the ability to log into our personal streaming accounts. The yard is very dark at night even with the porch light on, so taking our dogs out required a flashlight. It is a very quiet location and a quick drive or short 10-minute walk into town. Overall, my wife and I were happy with our stay.

We loved staying at this little cabin - best part is that the back of the house faces a beautiful lake, with plenty of room to run around. House was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything you need to make a meal. It’s a little tight on living area but snug, not cramped. Would definitely return!
