Recent Nevada vacation rental reviews

I received an email Monday telling me I needed to check in, in person by 7pm on Friday. That week, I reached out to Vacasa on 10 separate occasions, by phone, email and text, asking for information on after hours check in. I did not receive any response until Friday at 6pm. I was already on the road at that point, traveling alone with 2 kids and not knowing whether or how we would be able to access our unit that night. To add insult to injury, when I finally reached someone who could help, she was rude and condescending. She promised to send info and then didn’t and ignored the rest of my communications. In the future I will book this condo through another site, but NEVER VACASA.

Such a nice oasis — a perfect home away from home on Tahoe. Very clean, comfortable beds and furniture, and a lovely, well-appointed kitchen. Would 100% recommend!

I can’t say enough about how amazing this house is. It’s nice and secluded yet close enough to food and shops. Had enough room for my family and then some. The pool table was great to have. The house was very clean and comfortable. I would absolutely stay at this home again. Thank you for the wonderful memories we made at this amazing home!

    Where is Nevada?

Nevada is located in the Great Basin of the western United States. Made up primarily of an arid desert landscape, the western side of the state is flanked by the Sierra Nevadas and shares the shores of gorgeous Lake Tahoe with Californa.

    Things to Do in Nevada

Some of the best rock climbing in the country happens at Red Rock Canyon, while hikers can trek the few short, defined trails in the Black Rock Desert or blaze their own path in the wild and undeveloped canyons and ridgelines. The Ruby Crest Trail in Lamoille Canyon, a 40-mile route across the Ruby Mountain Ridge, offers diehards a spectacular look at glacial peaks, lush meadows, and vibrant wildflowers.

The Children's Discovery Museum has exhibits and hands-on activities for young travelers while the Fleischmann Planetarium in Reno features shows and interactive displays to help visitors of all ages tour the universe. Visit Gilcrease Nature Sanctuary to learn about unique species of birds and wildlife preservation.

Nevada's numerous art galleries feature local, regional, and national artists working across all mediums. You'll have the chance to view a thousand-year-old Columbian mammoth at Nevada State Museum, world-class art at Nevada Museum of Art, and otherworldly sculptures at the Goldwell Open Air Museum near Rhyolite, one of Nevada's well-known ghost towns.

In addition to the annual Burning Man gathering, Nevada hosts a number of unique festivals and events, like the Great Reno Balloon Races, Great Basin Astronomy Festival, and the Life is Beautiful Music and Art Festival.

If you're headed for Lake Tahoe, check out our rentals in charming Genoa or near the casinos and nightlife of Crystal Bay. Wherever you stay, you can rest assured that time spent in our convenient and well-maintained Nevada cabin rentals and vacation homes will enhance your unforgettable getaway.
