If you value immaculate spaces, high thread-count sheets, or high end furnishings this cabin is likely not going to be your cup of tea. But if, like us, you don't mind a few dust bunnies or spider webs and you value proximity to a beautiful and little visited beach, tide pools mere steps from your door, watching the sunset or the starry night sky, or listening to the pounding surf from the comfort of your warm cozy cabin you will love this cabin. If you love a super soft thick memory foam mattress, you will love the bed in the main bedroom. We found it way to soft for our tastes and moved our bedding to the pull out couch in the living room our second night. We found this couch to be the most comfortable pull out couch we had ever experienced so we were glad we made the switch. The kitchen has all the dishes and silverware and pots and pans needed for basic cooking, but we did have to clean a pan before we could use it. The propane heater is wonderful on cold winter days. It heats up the whole cabin quickly. We loved our stay and look forward to coming back in the future.

Very nice facility. Can’t really see the ocean from this place, but don’t have to go far to get to it. We had a marvelous stay

A beautiful home and perfect for larger groups. Although it's beach front there is a river in between the home and the ocean. They do provide a small row boat to get across the river if you're up for it. Beach access is just around the corner south of the home (short drive). All in all a great stay. Nice and quiet neighborhood and an absolutely stunning property.

Explore our Yachats, OR, vacation rentals

Yachats is a hidden gem along the Oregon Coast, due to its uncommercialized shoreline and quaint village. The coast features the same basalt rock bluffs, foggy mornings, and access to nature trails as you’d come to expect with the Pacific Northwest, but with a comfortable, lived-in feel in town that makes for a restful stay.

During your trip, make sure to stop at the Yachats Farmers Market on Sunday mornings in the summer, where you can enjoy fresh blueberries and the beach community. With a quick drive, there are plenty of natural attractions that are worth seeing in the area as well, like Cook’s Chasm, Devil’s Churn, and Thor’s Well. Come back from your adventure to your home base at Yachats vacation rentals, whether a cozy pet-friendly cabin or a beachfront cottage.

Where is Yachats, OR?

Nestled along the mouth of the Yachats River, halfway between Newport and Florence, a vacation home in Yachats offers the all-too-rare combination of a charming downtown, beautiful beaches, and a sense of real tranquility. Yachats is just over 3 hours from Portland, 2 hours from Salem and Eugene, and just an hour and a half from Corvallis. It's a little more secluded than many of the coast's other destinations, but still within an hour of Newport's bustling attractions, Florence's photogenic scenery, and plenty of deserted beaches and sleepy fishing villages in between.

Cape Perpetua

While the town of Yachats itself is charming, the biggest draw in the area is Cape Perpetua, arguably the site of the best viewpoint along the entire Oregon Coast. The 803-foot-high viewpoint offers a panoramic view stretching 150 miles north-to-south, and almost 40 miles out to sea on a clear day. Just a few miles south of town, the official Cape Perpetua Scenic Area includes an informative visitor's center and over twenty miles of hiking trails leading to unforgettable scenic vistas.

Nearby parks at Neptune Beach, Cummins Creek, and Smelt Sands offer additional spots for hiking, picnicking, wildlife watching, and fishing.
