Staying at this Beautiful home in Groveland near Yosemite was easily one of the most well-rounded and memorable trips I’ve ever had. The home itself strikes a perfect balance between comfort and immersion in nature. It was tucked into a forest setting with direct access to a nearby lake within walking distance, it felt like an escape without sacrificing any of the conveniences you’d want for a longer stay. Waking up each morning to the quiet of the trees and the stillness of the water was unreal. The lake access was a huge highlight—whether it was just sitting outside with coffee, taking a walk, or enjoying the mountain air. The property was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully set up, making it feel like home right away. One of the biggest advantages of this location is how close it is to Dodge Ridge. We spent three full days snowboarding, and the drive was only about an hour, which made it incredibly manageable. Being able to hit the mountain all day and still return to a quiet, cozy home instead of a crowded resort area made a huge difference in the overall experience. It gave us easy access to snowboarding and a relaxing place to recharge and shower afterward. A big plus was the nearby town. It had way more going on than we anticipated. There were plenty of solid food options, from casual spots to nicer sit-down restaurants, and even a bit of nightlife if you wanted something to do in the evenings. Our favorite spot was 2 Guys Pizza Pies, that was the best place to eat hands down!!!! It never felt boring or limited, which can sometimes be the case in more remote mountain areas. On top of that, having EV charging stations readily available nearby made the trip even smoother and stress-free. Overall, this Airbnb is ideal if you’re looking for a nature-focused getaway that still keeps you connected to activities, food, and convenience. Between the lake access, proximity to Yosemite, quick drive to Dodge Ridge, and a lively nearby town, it checked every box. I’d absolutely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a mix of adventure and relaxation in a beautiful setting. I really want to come back, I honestly can’t wait till next winter! ❄️
