Sandy Key Condos | Perdido Key, FL Rentals

The unit was clean and updated — a major bonus that the outdated carpet shown in the photos has been replaced with beautiful tile flooring throughout. This change alone made the space feel much fresher and more modern than expected. The location is excellent — right next to Johnson’s Beach, which is an easy and scenic walk. It’s also a good value for the price given the beachfront access and overall amenities. Despite signs saying tents aren't allowed on the beach, we were pleased to find that tents are permitted as long as they're set up behind the row of rentable umbrellas and chairs. That flexibility made our beach days much more comfortable. That said, there were a few inconveniences: the dryer was not working during our stay, and the unit uses two different keys for two different locks — one of which has a tricky deadbolt that takes some patience to operate. The kitchen could also benefit from a more complete set of matching Tupperware and lids. Additionally, since this unit is located in Tower I (which doesn’t sit above a pool), you'll need to walk next door to Towers II or III for pool and hot tub access. Beach access can also be a bit of a challenge — the closest ramp is gated off from inside the resort, and the next accessible ramp is two towers away, so we had to rely on stairs that weren’t ideal for wagons or beach carts. Overall, the pros far outweighed the cons. This unit has a great location, solid upgrades, and provides a comfortable beach getaway. We'd recommend it and would stay here again!
