We enjoyed our stay, and appreciated the tucked in location on a larger lake. The automatic pulley transport cart to ride down to the bottom of the dock was a nice benefit given the number of stairs it took to get down to the lake. The dock was present, despite what some other reviews said, but it was small, and a little hard to tie off a pontoon boat with one dock cleat missing. The condition of the cabin was fine, though obviously beginning to become dated, with some musty furniture downstairs and dated, spotty rugs. Cleanliness was fine though there was a hair in the tub and outdoor cobwebs weren’t at all cleaned up when we arrived, so we swept up ourselves to avoid stepping into them as we walked outside. Halfway through the stay, the doorknob fell off the front door in my hand when opening the door from the inside, but thankfully a nice local gentleman from the maintenance crew arrived and fixed it for us the very next day - impressive. Lots of linens and towels were provided, and most of the cooking utensils we needed, save a kettle, which we purchased ourselves at the store in town. This place was probably wonderful 5-10 years ago, but it could use some TLC now. We would stay again but the value may be lower relative to some of the other places in town. Heads up to the neat freaks (like us), you’ll likely be underwhelmed if you’re looking for 10/10, but this still is a solid 7/10 today.
