We enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It is surrounded by the Northern Woods and right on a lake. The "beach" wasn't quite as wide as it looked in the pictures, but it is a nice, shallow lead-in to the lake. We were there in October, so the leaves were falling and the weather wasn't the greatest, but it was still a nice and relaxing stay. The house is well equipped, and the property management company is doing a great job - they are friendly and responsive. There is one drawback to being away from it all in the woods - the internet isn't the greatest. It's adequate for e-mails and the like, but if you have teenage kids who want to stream things, that would probably not work very well. So that's the price you pay for being away from it all. TV reception is fine, though. All in all, it is a nice little place to get away from it all and pretty close to Phelps and Eagle River for shopping, restaurants, and entertainment.
Nice size home for my family to use for the weekend. Great working wifi.
We enjoyed our stay at the Bear's Den. The beach area was clean, the shallow water is rocky (water shoes were perfect) and just past the rocks it's sandy. The kids and adults loved the kayaks and lilly pad. We caught fish right off the pier. The firepit was fun at night. The home was clean and stocked with essential supplies. It's a small walk across the dead end, very quiet street, so you can feel safe letting the kids go by themselves. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others. We traveled into Phelps and Eagle River as well as made a trip to Bond Falls, per the owners recommendation. All very close by.
