Make Mendocino your next getaway—choose from 21 great vacation rentals

The villages, vineyards, and breathtaking natural beauty of the Mendocino Coast - or just "the Coast," as the locals prefer to call it - make this oceanfront slice of Northern California the perfect destination for a laid-back adventure! Mendocino itself is a quaint town, home to less than 900 year-round residents. However, don't let it's relatively small size fool you - this serene escape is increasingly popular amongst artists drawn to its stunning scenery and vacationers who are attracted by the peace and quiet.

The spacious counters in the huge kitchen were great for cooking and organizing. Loved the quiet and star watching from the deck

Loved the kitchen and the view of the ocean. We had a good clear day for the first day. Did some walks on the paths nearby. The bathroom arrangement is odd, however we had a plan, so everyone felt comfortable. Our last day on leaving, pouring rain and trouble with WI-FI. Otherwise, I would recommend the spot, as we all enjoyed our time there.
Sally S. | Sep 2022
Four couples traveled to Caspar for a family wedding and Casa Mare was a great spot for us to call home for a couple days. We all had a comfortable resting spot but the location of the bathrooms presented a challenge with sharing. The renters from the big house were also wedding guests so we were invited to share the deck facing the ocean which definitely improved our stay. The house was very clean and offered a lot of sitting space in the living room.
