Make Mendocino your next getaway—choose from 17 great vacation rentals

The villages, vineyards, and breathtaking natural beauty of the Mendocino Coast - or just "the Coast," as the locals prefer to call it - make this oceanfront slice of Northern California the perfect destination for a laid-back adventure! Mendocino itself is a quaint town, home to less than 900 year-round residents. However, don't let it's relatively small size fool you - this serene escape is increasingly popular amongst artists drawn to its stunning scenery and vacationers who are attracted by the peace and quiet.

Recent Mendocino vacation rental reviews

Although it was advertised as handicapped access, I am glad no one had a wheel chair to have to get up the few stirs. The showers without bars were a challenge, but otherwise, EVERYTHING is well-planned and working perfectly. Great location for hikes along the Russian Gulch trails. Four families stayed, and the layout is such that you didn't bother each other in the morning or late at night. Wonderful place!

The area of the house had beautiful views although it was mostly foggy. Did noticed that it had 2 other rooms seems like it occupied more personas. Would do this again for this house rent it out!! Thanks great experience David Alcocer

My five daughters and two adult grandchildren enjoyed a very rare long weekend together coming from Canada, LA, Sonoma County Redding and Chico. We loved the openness, the natural light, the well-equipped kitchen, the many conversation areas and, of course, the yard and hot tub area. This lovely home exceeded all our expectations.
