I booked this trip forvmy wife and her friend and all they kept saying was great location and great house
This home was the perfect place for two couples. Each couple had their own bedroom and bath, and all was decorated so perfectly. A little old fashioned, but in the most charming way. Super comfortable beds. The fireplace in the pretty back yard was a huge bonus. The location was excellent as well. We all said it was our favorite vacation rental so far. And we travel a lot!
Beds were very comfy. Kitchen fun. Felt like living in the 1930s
This house is perfect! It was a nice size for two couples, perfectly clean and had a lovely backyard with a fireplace. It was also within walking distance to Main Street. I would definitely stay here again.
We had a wonderful time. This house was nice and comfy and very clean. Will definitely stay here again.
The house was so cute. Very nice and clean.
The sheets were so soft. I loved the fire place.
The house was decorated so nicely, the place was very clean. It was nice having 2 sittings areas, one for visits and one for tv watching. Also the beds were so comfortable. Walking distance to town main.
The house was so cute. Reminded us of grandma’s place. Very clean. Close to Main Street. Perfect place. We will be back.
This being my first time to make arrangements for a stay in a house rather than hotel, I wasn’t sure what to expect. It was a wonderful experience! Everything about the place was charming. The house was within walking distance to the downtown festival venue as well as restaurants and shopping. We didn’t do any cooking but the basics were there. Beautiful well maintained outdoor seating area too. I would like a tea kettle but that’s no big deal.
This home is awesome for a relaxing, and fun place to stay! We loved it!
This was a thank you vacation to friends that took us in for 10 months after our home was severely damaged due to Hurricane Harvey. It was perfect for the four of us. Convenient location and loved the outdoor fireplace for evening relaxation. The Vacasa staff was very attentive to all of our needs. Would definitely stay here again!
We had a wonderful time at this beautifully decorated home conveniently located near Main St. Thank you!
This house was great for a long-weekend. I was impressed by the bed linens, and noticed they were from Comphy. The towels were also very good quality. I wish more vacation rentals had two king-sized beds like this house did! It was decorated perfectly for they style of house, full of antiques, but nothing that we were worried about breaking.
We did walk to Main St. (in the heat!). We've visited Fredericksburg before when we couldn't find places to park, so we didn't mind walking a few blocks for the convenience of not having to drive after imbibing in a few wine tastings.
Some things to be aware of. The kitchen is small, with a very small stove/oven. There was a notice not to fry anything since there wasn't an exhaust fan. Since we only prepared light breakfasts and a few snacks it wasn't a problem. I couldn't find more than a couple of dish towels (although bath towels were plentiful). The kitchen was well-equipped for what we needed, a bottle opener, wine glasses, and other glasses and coffee cups. The coffee maker is a Keurig with the re-usable filters which we appreciated. There was also a contain of good coffee supplied.
We had an issue with the front bathroom toilet, but a call to the management company took care of it (after a few episodes of telephone tag, emails and texts). But even after the plumber or maintenance person came, the toilet still needed a couple of flushes to do the job. The fact there were a couple of plungers in the bathroom should have been a hint. It was not a giant issue, but something to be aware of. Also, per the pictures, the showers are in the clawfoot tubs. People with mobility issues would probably have a problem stepping in and out.
Another, "just be aware of" thing is Travis Street has a surprising amount of traffic for a small town. At night, the car lights did come through the windows in the front bedroom -- although there was an extra blind in the room. If you need darker rooms to sleep in, the back bedroom was better.
We did enjoy our stay, and would like to return when it's not so hot so we can enjoy the backyard patio.
Thoroughly enjoyed our time at Das Rosen Haus. Great location close to everything! Comfortable and clean.
Was perfect for girls getaway weekend!
I stayed here with my husband, mom and 3 year old daughter. The home was perfectly appointed and very close to shopping, restaurants, etc. My husband and I could have walked to Main St, but it would have difficult for my mom and 3 yr old.
Would recommend and will stay here again if we visit the area again.
We had a great day/night trip here. The AC was perfect during this hot summer and the amenities were nice as well. I would definitely stay here again!
Cleanliness, local information provided, privacy, convenience to downtown, appearance, all necessities provided, etc.
Loved the decor, comfy king beds & outdoor patio. Great house to share with another couple
We felt so relaxed with all the extra space and beautiful decor. I enjoy luxury hotels, but this was so quite and relaxing. Truly enjoyed the outdoor space; just lovely. Location is perfect! I highly recommend Das Rosen Haus!
Great for 2 couples, each with his own sitting area. Worked out perfectly.
Very comfortable house. Great location.
The home was clean, charming, comfortable and homey. Easy walk to town and a great set up for two couples.
Pristine clean, bright and beautiful vintage home. Loved it!
We had such a great time staying at this house! We used the outdoor fireplace every night. I don’t have any complaints with the house or experience there. Would love to go back!
Wonderful home with attention to detail. Outdoor fireplace is so welcoming
Great stay, excelente customer service and communication. I definitely recommend vacasa for your stay in Fredericksburg.
Good job and thanks.
Das Rosen Haus is centrally located to the main street in downtown Fredericksburg. The house is quaint, cozy and very comfortable. The backyard is lovely, quiet and conducive to Bible study and long chats with your family. We loved our stay.
Charming house with full amenities. Appreciated a small amount of household/kitchen items.
All was well and we had a great visit to Fredericksburg. The people in the stores and restaurants were very warm and helpful in guiding us to places we wanted to go.
We were a little disappointed that the connections to our phones/iPads were so poor. My friend and I have two different carriers but neither of us had more than two bars of service anywhere in your area. We were unable to receive communications without making a regular call. Not a big deal, but definitely a surprise since there is so much tourist activity.
This home is a great (affordable) option for your stay in Fredericksburg. It is walking distance to Main Street (but keep in mind there aren't sidewalks - we were doing it with a stroller and dog so sidewalks would have been nice). The house is quaintly decorated and comfortable. Great for 2 couples or a family given 2 king size beds and 2 bathrooms (we couldn't find a stopper in the bath tub which made giving the kid a bath challenge...). The listing said the property didn't have cable TV and we were pleased to find out it did. Fireplace out back is a great feature - we used it all nights we were there and ate more than our fair share of S'mores.
Would stay here again without hesitation and would recommend to friends.
The house was perfect for a girls weekend. We enjoyed the outdoor fireplace. Great location close to shipping and dining.
Just a few minute walk to Main St
Group of 4 visiting Fredericksburg for the weekend celebrating a birthday. The house was very comfortable and quiet. The fireplace in the backyard was a nice gathering spot on the cold nights. Will be coming back.
Great house, awesome town, and great people. Wonderful overall experience. Thank you!
House beautiful! Layout perfect for 2 couples. Close to town. Walking time good. Bring flashlights for walking at night there are no sidewalks down Travis. Know it will be another $200.00 for extra fees. Coffee was provided for the Kurieg that was nice while we all rolled into breakfast and shopping. If your looking for resale and antiques research ahead most of Mainstreet is over priced new stuff. BUT we had a great time and would go again!!
We often travel with another couple and enjoy staying in a home rather than two hotel rooms. However, it's not easy to find a 2 bedroom 2 bath home with 2 king beds. This house was perfect! Very well maintained with much attention to details. It was absolutely perfect! We enjoyed the outdoor fireplace with firewood provided. Perfect home for a Hill Country weekend!
Great house within walking distance to Main St (2 blocks) Really good neighbor hood surrounded by historic homes. Great for 2 couples. 2 separate living rooms, so each couple had their private area within the house. The fireplace in the backyard was the best. Fires every night after shopping and wine tasting was really relaxing. I felt we found a gem.
We loved everything about staying here!
