The condo was very nice! Kitchen and baths were remodeled and everything was clean. We wouldn’t hesitate to rent again. The view and sunsets were spectacular! Thank you!
Great view from clean well kept modern unit, well located in Princeville for to walk to beaches, Queens Bath, the resort.
We have stayed in many of the cliff-side units at Pali Ke Kua and this is our favorite by far. The views of "Bali Hai" may be the best on the island. The condo is well supplied and had everything we hoped for: beach chairs, lots of beach towels, a great big screen TV, great air circulation that is probably only really available in a second story unit and it felt like home the minute we stepped into the unit.
The condo was plenty of room for myself and my partner but we could have easily brought 2-3 children with us. The kitchen had enough for us to cook. It also had plenty of the basics so we could wash dishes, linens etc. it was also clean. The sunset was fabulous. You do have to travel a bit for major tours and to go to the canyon. There are nice restaurants in Hanalei and a great beach there as well. Only a 10 minute drive. I would recommend to family and friends.
This place was amazing in every way!!! You can’t beat the view of the ocean from the deck, and we even saw whales a couple of times. We visited 6+ beaches on all sides of the island while we were in Kauai, and we all agreed that the beach at the end of the paved path from this resort was our favorite. We snorkeled there several times and saw sea turtles and many colorful fish. My husband was bummed that some of the beaches known for the best snorkeling north of Hanalei were closed due to flooding last year, but they are supposed to reopen in May or so, according to the locals. The condo is very well equipped with pretty much any appliance you would need, and the beds were super comfortable. It’s a quiet, peaceful area with beautiful scenery. This was perfect for us, and we are hoping to return someday soon!
Peaceful setting, lovely view over the Pacific Ocean, well equipped kitchen. Nice resort.
We stayed in Pali Ke Kua #205 for second week of our Kauai thanksgiving vacation. The 4 of us enjoyed the condo. It is well maintained, has beautiful ocean views, very nice landscaping, and parking was convenient. Princeville is nice although essentially is not a town, but instead is a large community of condos and resort complexes. There is good access to Foodland grocery store and restaurants at a strip mall about 2.5 miles away. Good beaches and a large restaurant complex are available in Hanalei located less than 10 miles away (significant road closures due to recent flooding limited access to many local beaches). Pali Ke Kua complex has private access via a steep trail to a very nice beach that offers good snorkeling. Those with limited mobility or poor health should avoid this trail.
Now for criticisms. The condo is well furnished, but the living room furniture is very uncomfortable (typical tropical motif rattan with no springs and poor cushions. Not a criticism, but be prepared for no AC. No AC is usually mitigated by the presence of the slatted window type typically used in older Hawaiian homes. These work well, but the resulting noise from the complex and other condos is intrusive. The kitchen was adequate but very cramped. The compliment of kitchen essentials was just adequate, I have had far better and worst.
All in all a good value.
The views of the ocean and the mountains was amazing. Although we did not spend much time in the unit, it was beautiful. The beach towels, chairs and boogie boards were a nice addition. Great place, I highly recommend!
Location was good, amenities were great and home had everything you would need or want.
Couldn’t ask for a better view. The condo had everything we needed and was very clean. Dealing with Vacasa was really easy as well.
This condo made the best first impression and just kept delivering all week long! The view from the balcony is unreal! A path down to a private beach is right out back, kinda steep, but totally worth it! The drive into Hanalei was less than 10 min. and, even though the road past Hanalei was closed to the public due to the flooding in April, there were plenty of nearby activities to keep us busy.
Don’t worry abt buying/stuffing your luggage with snorkel masks, fins, beach chairs, coolers, boogie boards...it’s all there to use during your stay. We left some inflatable tubes for future guests.
We stocked up on groceries at Costco right from the airport...but Foodland and the Princeville shopping center provides plenty of nearby meal options. The condo has almost every appliance imaginable...crockpot, coffee maker, toaster...it’s fully stocked!
We didn’t spend nearly as much time in the condo as we thought we would...too many amazing adventures on this beautiful island. But when we were there, the breeze was amazing and kept us cool, even on the most humid of days. We did go through quite a bit of bug spray...and bought some mosquito coils to ward off bugs while we sat outside to play cards and watch sunsets.
The neighborhood is super quiet, lots of walkers and joggers on the main road in the mornings...this condo is abt 2 miles off the highway...pretty deep into the Princeville area...past the golf course and close to Hideaways Beach and the St. Regis.
We were two couples and it worked out perfectly. We had our own rooms, our own bathrooms, and a comfortable common area for hanging out. The washer/dryer was also super for bathing suits and towels.
The rental company left us fresh flowers upon our arrival and were very helpful and friendly when we called with questions before our arrival. The directions for check in and check out were helpful and thorough and there’s a book on the kitchen table with some recommended island activities, restaurants, etc.
We would definitely recommend staying here! We just left yesterday and miss it already!
Another wonderful stay in Kauai. The views from this property are amazing every time we stay. Beautiful sunsets almost every night.
This condo is awesome. The location is ideal, you can walk to Hideaways Beach (it's steep and a bit slippery, so you must use caution). It is well stocked, extremely comfortable, and the views are spectacular. A lot of thought has been put into the comfort of guests, including floor fans in all major rooms, and a beautifully renovated kitchen. Past guests have been very generous and left a generous supply of shampoos and body lotions; we even donated a small umbrella that was purchased on the fly when we got caught in a small downpour. (Gotta love those!) We were very impressed with the team at Bali Hai Realty, who have recently taken over the management of this property. Lisa Downer was wonderful... she provided assistance every step of the way, answered a zillion questions, and truly represented the island's culture of Aloha. We highly recommend Pali Ke Kua, and this unit in particular. We will return here the next time we visit Beautiful Kauai. :) With much aloha... Cynde & Steve
