This homey, dog-friendly, and quiet Lincoln City vacation rental sits close to the Siletz Bay and features easy access to the sandy shore! With all the comforts of home, plenty of space for six guests and two dogs, and a lovely location, you will want to return to this home again and again.
Perched on the very south end of Lincoln City, in a quiet residential area right next to the beautiful Siletz Bay, this home is a quick four-block walk from the sandy beach and gentle waters of the bay. You can park your boat in the driveway, no problem! (Please note this home has parking space for three vehicles, and no on-street parking is allowed.) On the south end of town are several wonderful restaurants, a fantastic golf resort, and easy beach access, so you won't need to go far to find fun here! This home is also quite close to the Siletz River, with boating docks and good fishing spots.
With three bedrooms and two bathrooms, this home has plenty of space for a family. This cottage has a very homey atmosphere, with a cozy living room and all the comforts that you are used to in your own house. Have a seat on the plush sofas in the living room and start a fire in the wood-burning stove, then turn on the TV and spend a rainy evening watching cable programming or one of the provided DVDs. While you're here you will also have WiFi access, board games, books, and a separate TV with a VCR and a selection of classic movies to watch, so nobody will be bored! If you have little ones to entertain, there's a selection of age-appropriate toys to choose from.
Just past the living room is a full kitchen, which is spacious and well-stocked with all the appliances and tools you may need to whip up tasty meals during your stay. There are even several fun extras, such as a blender, French press, and a waffle iron, so you might even be inspired to make a special breakfast complete with fruit smoothies, fresh coffee, and hot waffles.
The first of the three bedrooms has lovely French doors that open right up from the dining area, and inside you will find a queen-size bed and a crib so any very young guests can stay close to their parents. The second bedroom has a cozy queen bed, a TV with a built-in VCR, and doors that open up to the back deck area.
The master bedroom has a queen-size bed and an attached bathroom. This home has another full bathroom, accessible from the main living room, as well as a laundry area that will come in handy after a few days of playing on the beach. Altogether, with these three bedrooms, up to six guests will be very comfortable here. You're also welcome to bring up to two dogs with you- though a nightly fee per dog and minimum fee per stay will apply.
Outside, you will find a patio with a gas grill and an outdoor dining set for six, and a grassy yard where children and dogs can run around and play. While you're here you can even use the beach chairs, so feel free to pack a picnic lunch to enjoy on the nearby shore.
Because this home is so close to the bay, you can enjoy a different type of beach experience here. Walk the four short blocks up to the Josephine Young Memorial Park, which is the easiest way to access the sandy shore of the bay. If you've never been to a bay beach before, you're in for a treat! During high tide, the water will be gentle, and the sandy beach will be a great place to walk along and splash around the water. If you visit when it's low tide, you will find a vast expanse of sand to play on, and plenty of muddy areas that are perfect for clamming.
Take the little ones to a lovely park just a block and a half north of the home to stretch their legs, or play basketball with friends.
If you're up for a walk, you can reach several businesses within a short distance of this home. Freed Gallery, a small antique mall, the upscale Bay House restaurant, and the more casual Beach Dog Cafe are all along the nearby highway. You could also hop in the car and head south five minutes to the Salishan for a round of golf, some shopping, and a relaxing spa treatment. Just north, in the Taft area of Lincoln City, you will find easy beach access and many eateries.
Elsewhere in Lincoln City, you will surely find plenty to keep you busy. Check out the casino on the north end of town, peruse the souvenir shops that line Highway 101, visit the outlet mall, or simply spend an afternoon beachcombing along the miles of coastline in town. Restaurant options range from seafood to Thai to pizza (and everything in between), and for dessert you can get some saltwater taffy or fresh ice cream from one of the many souvenir shops. If you prefer to spend time appreciating the great outdoors, try kayaking or sailing on Devils Lake, fishing, crabbing, or hiking around the many nearby nature trails.
Lincoln City has much to offer visitors, though you could also take a short drive up or down the coast for a change of scenery. If you drive south, you will pass by Boiler Bay (a fantastic picnic area) on your way to Depoe Bay, a charming town with cute shops that is known as the whale-watching capital of the coast. There you can watch for whales right from the edge of town, though you may decide to go all-in and head out on a whale-watching boat. If you continue south another 20 minutes or so, you will reach Newport, which has a famous aquarium, plenty of restaurants, and much more to explore.
Whether you stay right here in Lincoln City, explore the coast, or seek out your own adventures, this comfortable, conveniently located, and dog-friendly Northern Oregon Coast vacation rental will ensure you have a wonderful stay!
