Cozy home w/ private hot tub, SHARC passes & convenient location - dogs ok!
This traditional and warm Sunriver vacation rental is the perfect place to stay while you explore fun-filled Central Oregon! With a gorgeous and welcoming interior, a private hot tub, and access to the amenities in Sunriver, this home will help you feel rested, relaxed, and ready to have adventures! And to top it all off, you'll get 10 guest memberships to Sunriver Fitness & Aquatic, which offers a large pool.
Sunriver, nestled along the mighty Deschutes River at the base of the Cascade Mountains, is about 15 miles south of Bend. This particular home is located conveniently close (a short five-minute walk) to one of the main attractions in the community, SHARC, where you will find an enormous aquatic center that will keep you entertained no matter which season you visit.
Step inside this traditional-style home and you will immediately feel a sense of warmth from the gorgeous wood walls, cozy fireplace, and windows and skylights that let in plenty of sunlight. Have a seat on the soft couches and read a book in front of the lovely gas fireplace, or simply sit with a mug of cocoa or glass of wine and tell stories while the fire flickers gently.
Behind the living room you will find a full kitchen that is completely stocked with the tools and equipment you may need during your stay. Simply bring your own groceries, then enjoy preparing meals in this spacious, clean, and well-appointed kitchen. You will have no trouble whipping up anything, whether you envision a simple breakfast of eggs and bacon or a more elaborate Sunday brunch of mushroom quiche and French toast. Sit down at the eight-seat dining room table and enjoy a leisurely meal together to fuel up for a day of vacationing.
Upstairs in the loft area, a large sofa piled with pillows is the ideal place to lounge and watch some cable TV or use the DVD player to have a movie night. With WiFi access throughout the house you will have no trouble staying connected, and you could watch YouTube or stream music for an impromptu dance party!
This home has three bedrooms and a loft, and up to 10 guests will be perfectly comfortable spread out among the various sleeping places! You will also find three full bathrooms throughout the house, as well as a laundry room, so there's no need to worry about getting your clothes dirty while you're exploring the great outdoors.
The master bedroom, located on the ground floor, has a fabulous queen-size bed and a recently remodeled attached bathroom that will make you feel like you're in a spa. The two remaining bedrooms both have lovely queen-size beds outfitted with warm and soft linens. Upstairs, part of the loft area serves as an additional bedroom, and would be a perfect place for kids to sleep because it has two sets of twin bunks, a large flatscreen TV, and even a foosball table!
The inside of this home is fantastically warm and welcoming, but don't overlook the outside! A tree-lined yard area is the perfect place to let any children run around. This home allows you to bring along one dog, so your furry friend will love to sniff around the pine cones- though a nightly fee per dog and minimum fee per stay will apply.
A patio area is an ideal place to sit and breathe in the fresh air, or you could take advantage of the nice weather to use the gas grill to cook up a casual barbecue for everyone. You will be delighted to find a private hot tub, just for you and your guests! Relax in the luxuriously warm, bubbling water and let all your troubles melt away.
Within the community of Sunriver, you will have access to a plethora of fun activities. Head down to the SHARC to use the shared pools, hot tubs, picnic area, playground, and sports courts. If you love to golf, be sure to check out the two golf courses, or you could play tennis at one of the tennis courts, visit a park, or walk or bike around the 40 miles of pathways that crisscross the area!
You could also book a horseback riding tour, or get a massage at the spa. For even more options, venture out of Sunriver; the Deschutes River is a fantastic place to go rafting, skiing at Mt. Bachelor is just a 30-minute drive away, and lakes such as Wikiup Reservoir are within a scenic hour drive.
Just a mile away from your rental home is The Village, a cluster of restaurants and shops, where you can grab a bite to eat or stock up on basics at the market. Be sure to visit the larger city of Bend, just 25 minutes up the highway and explore its many famous breweries, grab a bite to eat (try the Portuguese chicken stew at Mediterranean restaurant Cafe Sintra), and walk around the beautiful parks that line the Deschutes River.
However you choose to spend your visit, come stay at this inviting, warm, and cozy Central Oregon vacation rental and be rested and ready to have a fun-filled trip!

Love the remodel, looks and feels like home. Big house with plenty of room. Already planning a return trip
Easy check in, very roomy. Bathrooms and kitchen nicely updated. Very comfortable place to stay.
Nice spacious house for a family. Updated kitchen and well stocked. It could use a matching set of wine glasses... there were only 4 mismatched. We loved to proximity to the village and SHARQ. Would definitely rent this one again!
Great place for a family vacation.
Beds were hard and uncomfortable, but other than that, a really nice house!
Plenty of space for two families to share. Love the separate tv area and the hot tub was a great way to relax for the adults at night.
For families although the space is smaller than the photos look. Four bedrooms (one with bunk beds) make it a good house for a two-family Gathering. Nice bathrooms for everyone. Yard leaves a lot to be desired but close the Sharc and adequate. Plenty of bikes and helmets!
This house was a perfect match for our annual Sunriver getaway with our 6 grandchildren (and their parents!). We really enjoyed the floorpan for the large group; spacious enough for all but not too spread out to enjoy one another's company. We enjoyed bike riding to the mall, stables and the marina. Being a pet friendly home, the kid's dog had a nice natural yard to play in and explore. The kitchen was nicely stocked and comfortable for mom and grandma/grandpa to both work together for meal prep and clean up. We always seek a home with a large dining table for puzzles and game nights. We all enjoyed the hot tub, and the SHARQ passes make the stay a treat for everyone. Perfect! Thank you for sharing your home - we had a great experience and have lots of fantastic memories!
Family gathering. Clean. Comfy beds. Nice house tub.
While we didn’t bring our pooches on this trip, I would come again, with my dogs in tow. Easy access to the trails behind the house. Not far from Sharc or the Village. Upstairs was the perfect spot for the teens to hang, leaving the adults to the first floor in peace.
The location feels private and yet close to the SHARC and the village.
This house was great for groups, and we spent a lot of time by the fire.
I would pick a different unit next time for sure
We are sorry to see this and always appreciate specific feedback that can help us make improvements. Thanks!
The space in the house is fine. The bathrooms are redone and work well. They are low quality cabinets, but new and look nice, granite a nice touch. However, the flooring in the kitchen is DANGEROUS. the grout is puckering up and cracked in many areas. The grout is actually sharp in some spots and we stepped on it and stubbed our toes on it. The faucet in the kitchen doesn't have a nozzle to move around which makes it difficult to wash the bigger dishes. The garbage disposal overflowed on us and all over the floor but then we didn't really use it much after that so it wouldn't happen again. Upon arrival the house was FREEZING and it took a few hours to heat up. The heater in the house doesn't function very well. The upstairs rooms and loft were overheated while the downstairs master and master bath remain cold cold cold. The lighting in the house is overall terrible. Low wattage and not many fixtures. Also, 6 light bulbs were out when we arrived and another in the kitchen went out and we ended up having to call maintenance so we could cook in the kitchen. Had there been some light bulbs in the house I would have gladly replaced them myself. The house is advertised as having a well stocked kitchen.... that is a bit debatable. The beds downstairs squeak, but are comfortable enough, but you can tell they are old.
Due to these issues that I wasn't able to see from pictures, I feel like we paid WAY too much for the rental and wouldn't return and wouldn't rent a house from VaCasa again.
We’re sorry the guest didn’t enjoy the home, which is a shame. This is a warm and inviting home with many great amenities. The issue with the grout has been resolved, along with the garbage disposal and light bulbs. The owner is aware of the heating concerns and is working on a more permanent solution. Right now, there are plenty of open dates from May 1st-June 15th, but they will be gone quickly so book now. Thank you.
Overall would stay again. Needs Updating. Would have been nice to have cover over back deck.
I came here with my family of 5 in one of the busiest summer weeks so the price was extremely high... averaged to about $900 a night with tax and fees. I expected something very nice for this price. This home is very small. While it has 4 BR and 3 nice bathrooms, the living space is tiny. I certainly wouldn't want 2 families here. The kitchen and bathrooms are updated and well equipped which we liked. But, the furnishings are dated and ugly and sparse and beds are squeaky and uncomfortable. It was extremely hot and of course there is no AC. There are no ceiling fans! Vacasa left some box fans which we needed but for $900 a night I would like AC! The carpet was filthy and light bulbs were burned out. It backs to 3 other backyards and has a small wood deck and dirt yard. We could basically have conversations with others on their decks. There were pool towels and adult bikes. The hot tub was very small and not hot. Sunriver in general is great and we had a good time but this home is just very overpriced for what you get. I reasoned we basically got screwed for having a dog with us and wanting sharc passes and hot tub. Next time I will get a dog sitter at home and pay the sharc entrance fee a few times and rent a much nicer house.
Our family has enjoyed this unit two summers in a row. With three bedrooms and a large bunk room, this home is very well suited for three families traveling together. Our boys enjoyed borrowing the bikes in the garage to ride to the SHARC and to the village for icecream.
It's a great location, very quiet, and with enough space for everyone. We love 8 Lofty. May be back again next summer!
The accommodation is spacious and would easily sleep 10, although you couldn't all eat together as there were only 7 chairs for the table or relax in the lounge. The hot tub wasn't working when we arrived but this was sorted after a few emails and was available by day 3.
Otherwise we had a pleasant stay.
We just really enjoy our stay at this house. Very good location: walking distance too pool and village. Everything was good.
We had an amazing time in Sunriver! The house was clean and fully stocked with everything we needed (and then some!). We were just a short walk away from the sledding hills which we visited with the little kids every day. Thank you for opening up your home to us!
The house was as described although the living area was smaller than I expected. The beds were not quality but the kitchen was well stocked with good cook ware. Nice gas stove. Vacasa was responsive when the coffee maker broke and brought us a new one within 3 hours.
Good layout, clean, & comfortable.
The house on 8 Lofty Lane was well kept with some new updates especially the kitchen and the bathrooms. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of plates/silverware and cooking pots/pans. Gas range was definitely a plus. There was plenty of space for 8 adults and 1 child. The SHARC passes were a hit especially for my 5 year old son and even with few adults. There were plenty of towels including pool/beach towels for everyone. All appliances were in good working condition. It was basically a home away from home with all the amenities I would expect to make our stay as comfortable as possible. I would definitely rent this home again in the future.
We loved the location and we didn't lack for anything. Loved that it had 3 bathrooms. And it was very close to the SHARC pool and easy to use. Thanks for the available beach towels. Would definitely go back to this house.
We appreciated how close this place was to the SHARC and that it was large enough to fit 7 adults and 3 kids. The code locking system was very convenient with 3 families coming and going. The bathrooms and kitchen have obviously been redone recently so that was nice. But there were several housekeeping and maintenance problems that made it not as nice as other places we have stayed in Sunriver. There were little bits of garbage that hadn't been picked up on the deck. It was a hot weekend, and we were fine with there being no AC but the box fans provided were all very dirty. My dad had to sweep out the garage when we checked in and there were sticky spots. The handle on the dishwasher was broken and the 2 cable boxes had problems (normally we wouldn't watch TV on vacation but the Olympics were on). Overall it was fine, but we will definitely stay somewhere else next time.
We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the convenience of the home during your stay, and we appreciate the feedback about the things that need some work in the home. Our goal is to always ensure that guests have a comfortable and easy stay, and we apologize if yours was anything but that. Our local property manager was informed about these concerns and was able to come and resolve them promptly. The trash around the lot has been picked up, the HDMI cables for the cable boxes have been replaced, the fans were taken apart and wiped down completely, and the dishwasher handle has been repaired. In addition, the garage was blown out and scrubbed down. We hope that resolving these concerns will help your decision to come back to this wonderful home again soon!
This house has a great location - easy walk to the SHARC and quick bike ride to the Village and Fort Rock Park. The kitchen and bathrooms are recently updated and are well stocked. The rest of the home is not updated, but was comfortable for our large party (we used all 10 beds). The kitchen is very well stocked with dishes and cookware, even for a full-house. There are a few bikes in the garage, which is nice (there are not kid bikes and I'd recommend bringing a crescent wrench for seat-height adjustment). There is an extra fridge in the garage, which is very helpful. The grill and hot tub work well.
Some things are certainly dated - we had a few broken dresser drawers and windows treatments. But, overall the place is in adequate shape.
Highly recommend taking inventory when you get to the house - we were missing a SHARC pass and it took a few days to get it replaced. We were able to access SHARC in the meantime, but with some level of daily hassle.
Overall, a nice time in Sunriver.
Very clean with all the vacation necessities provided. Kitchen was well stocked. Wonderful patio to enjoy the summer nights.
Great house. Nicely updated kitchen and bathrooms. Lots of towels and good bikes! Everything we needed.
We were very pleased with our stay at 8 Lofty. The home itself has many nice features with open spaces for "visiting" and getaway spaces if people want to enjoy time alone outdoors, or catch a favorite TV show in the loft. The kitchen is very well stocked, with a wide assortment of pots and pans, and serving ware and even some favorite spices left behind to share. The owners even left cupboard space open, so that we could stash our groceries out of sight instead of on the counter tops.
The home is located within walking distance of the Village and SHARC facility and SHARC passes (and beach towels) are provided. We enjoyed borrowing the bikes and soaked in the hot tub as the days turned into chilly nights. The bathrooms were well stocked, and overall the home was in very good, clean condition.
I would also like to mention that we once again had a very positive experience working with Vacasa. Unlike some of the other home away from home rental options, Vacasa has a live customer service department that will assist you with your plans and a very easy to use reservation site. I like the reassurance that there are professional reservationists/ customer service representatives available, should something happen during my stay.
Nice place, conveniently located, well stocked. If we make a return trip to Sunriver, this will be the first place we try to rent.
Lofty #8 was a very nice house and great location. Close to Sharq and Village. Weather was 45 to 55 degrees the entire stay. But still found time for a few bike rides and one cold trip to the Sharq that the young people really enjoyed.
This unit is in a great location. Close to the SHARC and village. We would walk or run daily and swim for hours. The kitchen is well stocked with Sur La Table pots and pans. Plenty of dishware for large parties. Hot tub was clean and well maintained. Great place. It could use a little love, in terms of broken dressers and blinds. Other than that, we would certainly stay here again and hope to in the near future!
A very comfortable home for the weekend for our family and lots of sleeping room. The kids were happy with their play room. They have about 5 bikes in the garage for fun bike trips.
Good location. Great layout for a family vacation home.
We really lucked out with beautiful sunny skies and great snow for our family ski/board trip in February. There were 7 adults. The house fit us all comfortably. The newly remodeled kitchen and 3 bathrooms were done very well. The kitchen was well appointed with wonderful new appliances and granite countertops. Plenty of cooking utensils and serving dishes made preparing meals a breeze. The older refrigerator from the remodel was saved in the garage as a backup, which is nice for a large group. It would have been nice to have had a TV in the main living area downstairs. There were 2 TVs upstairs, but my elderly mother could not make it upstairs without quite a bit of help. The remodel also included new vinyl windows on the entire house. The gas fireplace was easy to turn a chilly space into a cozy one in the morning. Our family all agreed this was a house that fit us well and we would use again. Also, very close to SHARC.
There is nothing more to say except that this house needs to be upgraded!
Thanks for sharing your review with us. We are happy to announce that since your stay this home has had some major upgrades! All the bathrooms received new cabinets, floors, granite countertops and sinks, and the kitchen has new granite countertops, cabinets, flooring and appliances. Thank you so much for your feedback and we hope you get to come stay with us again.
Our Families Had A Great Time, Just Not Enough Time To Do All We Had Planned. The High Desert Museum was so much fun and I learned the difference between a Bull Trout and a Cutthroat.
Overall the place fit our needs despite the minor cleanliness and basic maintenance issues. I think the best aspect would be location, and the master bedroom/bath. At its current condition I think the price may have been a little high. It was very nice to find the bikes in the garage!
Great property, great location. Very clean and quiet. Would love to stay again in the future.
Loved our stay!! Will definitely stay here again. Perfect for 8 people. Kitchen was well stocked for any cooking project! Large table, loved the living room, fireplace, and especially the hot tub!
Thank you for your great review! We are so glad to hear you loved your stay at this home. Thank you for choosing Vacasa!
Our only inconvenience was no TV downstairs, but this could be a plus for some renters and was not a big deal. Master bath is amazing !!
This was a great property that slept everyone very comfortably. The kids loved the foosball table and bunk beds. The loft with TV was nice since it allowed the living area to be used for conversation without competing with the TV. Beds were comfortable and the layout was very accommodating. Everything about are stay with Vacasa could not have gone better. If you are looking to stay around central Oregon you must look at staying with Vacasa..
We stayed 4 nights at 8 Lofty Ln. and, as always, enjoyed our time in Sunriver. Rode bikes, went to the SHARC, went to Mt. Bachelor, etc. We have rented several different houses over the years in Sunriver, so I have basis for comparison. This house has a great location. Walking/bike ride distance to the SHARC. Quick drive to the village. On a nice little loop too which is good for kids riding bikes, playing, etc. The house is nice and in good shape. Beds are comfy. Sleeps 10 (3 queens and 4 bunks). The double shower in the master is very nice. Plenty of closet space. We used the BBQ several times and they provided plenty of propane (although we had to use a lighter to start it because the ignitor wasn't doing the trick). Two HD TV's, Wifi, comfy couches, and a foosball table were all nice too. We did have some issues however. The hot tub did not get hot, only warm. We turned the temp up all the way, but it wouldn't get hot enough to use. We could not get the fireplace to work. This was not that big of a deal, since we're not really fireplace people, but if it's complicated to operate, perhaps there should be instructions near by (unless there were and I missed them). The kitchen is lacking in a few essentials also. We arrived late our first night and just got a take-n-bake pizza to cook in the over when we got there. Oven worked great, but there are no oven mits that I could find. Had to use a towel to get the pizza out. No pizza cutter either (although that is not really an "essential"). There was no tinfoil, ziplocks, or Tupperware to put left overs in. That seems like something that should be in every kitchen. Also, there was no drawer or basket with pens, pencils, note paper, scissors, etc. that I could find anywhere. Seems like something that should available for guests. It might be nice if there were some spare 9V batteries in the house too. One of the smoke detectors started chirping in the middle of the night. I had to take it apart and set it aside until I could go to the store the next day to get more batteries. Overall, we did like the house and, with a few minor additions/fixes, things would have been perfect.
The place worked out really well for the 8 of us. There is actually more room than listed in the description, as there is a bunk room with 4 beds, and three additional bedrooms with a queen sized bed. So it was better than advertised. The kids loved the foosball table and the location of the house was great for us.
This is a great house for a large or small family and was perfect for the 7 of us. The only complaint is the lack of insulation between the first and second floors which makes the downstairs very loud. Close to most attractions like SHARC and the Village. Comfortable beds and cozy furniture to curl up in.
Thank you for these kind words. We are happy that you enjoyed the closeness to the Sharc and the comfy beds.
The house actually had 4 bedroom instead of 3.
We definitely will rent this house again.
