This historic two-story home is nestled on the shore of one of California's favorite mountain lakes, located within the gated community of Pine Mountain Lake in Groveland. Stay and enjoy the million dollar views from nearly every room in the house, that is full of history as it is the original ranch house of Dr. Dunn-owner of one of the ranches that now comprise the Pine Mountain Lake Community. The house, now remodeled, was originally moved up the hill when the lake was filled in and placed next to the ranches barn, which is now the Lake Lodge.
Be sure to look for our resident bald eagles, swans, geese, ducks, wild turkeys and deer who may visit in the early morning or at dusk. BBQ on the deck and relax in the cool breezes off the lake and watch the sunset behind the pines. No more driving to the lake, just step out the door and you're there. The house is perfect for families for all sizes, sleeps 10, or wedding guests since it is right next door to the Lake Lodge which is a great venue for weddings or receptions.
It is 26 miles from the entrance into Yosemite National Park. Travel to any of the destinations nearby, or stay and fish or dive off the private pier, or take a spin in a kayak or pedal boat. Walk next door to the Lake Lodge beach and playground or catch the water taxi to tour the lake in the summertime.
The summer activity is busy and full of laughter and fun. In the fall and winter you will breathe in the peace, privacy and seclusion. The occasional snow is a treat. No matter what time of year, the Little House on The Lake is a great place to make some special memories.
