A friend and myself stayed here for 3 nights over the course of Pax South. The apartments are several blocks from the convention center, but very close to the river walk and restaurants. Local scooters make anything else close enough not to worry about. The lobby is pretty, but the elevator is a bit dated and old. The hallways were also dated and smelled.. aged, but were retro and had personality. The room was smaller than I'd realised [the websites photography is deceiving] but the room was clean and extra towels were availble.

The kitchen had no room to prepare anything, but we ate out every meal anyway. [Morning tea was a challenge, but nothing we couldnt manage]

Our room was on the fourth floor. The large windows allowed plenty of light and a lovely view, however, they did not block any sound. I reccomend earplugs, the local traffic, courthouse nearby and dump trucks are LOUD AF [not vicasa's fault the city is just loud]. The air conditioner is a bit loud too, but we slept with it off and was comfortable. Some.of the blinds were falling off of the window too [again, not a deal breaker, but sucked] The first night was very little sleep. After earplugs, I slept like the dead. The beds are VERY comfortable and the sheets/pillows were lovely, clean and warm.
There were plenty of lights in the room, but the bedside lights didnt work, the other lights were fine. The room didnt have enough plugs for two phones and a portable charger. We sacrificed the alarm clock for the extra plug.

The bathroom was small and the mirror was mounted a little high. No electrical plugs in the bathroom also makes a hairdryer a hassle to use. [And was not supplied, so pack your own!] Two women trying to get ready took some dancing. A full length mirror somewhere in the room would have been nice since we couldnt both do our makeup without hitting eachother. We had no idea how we looked from the neck down until we got to the lobby and had to run back upstairs for adjustments. The shower temp was perfect, but the pressure was lacking, to be expected in an older building.
Extra towels and toilet paper was there when we arrived, and was appreciated.
I will give them more stars for great customer service, anything we needed and any questions were answered with a text or quick phonecall. Had we complained about the lights, I'm sure they would have fixed them.
We didnt have a car, and used uber's, but parking would have been a nightmare.
I'd stay here again, but pack earplugs in advance!!
Manager response:
Thank you for telling us about your stay, Elea. There is a slight odor in the building due to it being over 100 years old. We have added an island for extra counter space, a full length mirror, and an extension cord. Blinds are on the way, the lamp has been fixed, and the hair dryer is under the bathroom vanity. We have also purchased ear plugs and eye masks for future guests to use if they need them. We appreciate your feedback and hope to see you again!
