Great views, private, and beautiful. Take some binoculars for birds and peering at the snow covered peaks.

- Great location, between Durango and Silverton, close to Purgatory, and Needles has a few essentials shops. Gated residential neighborhood small, quiet, and upscale.
- Home features: hot tub was hot, big, and located for privacy and view; ping pong table, wafflemakers, and train layout big hits with family; movie projector and movie collection was just right; kitchen perfect for cooking/baking for big crowd; and plenty of space in home.
- Internet worked great; weather smart hub was cool, and local guides, books, and info was appreciated.

- Home road not marked for nightime visual, driveway not well marked (the # is on a tree, visible in daylight, but blends with durroundings), and home entryway not obvious.
- Spiderwebs throughout home, as if no one had entered home in awhile (which is unfortunate when you arrive at night, go through front door quickly without lights to unlock and open garage, and are covered in thin, barely visible wispy cobwebs). We got most out for our purposes, some remain in corners and high areas.
- Front entryway either unfinished, or a new take on "natural" sidewalk. There is the layout for a sidewalk but it is an odd squishy compost-feeling dirt.
- The front-load washer had not been cleaned in awhile (moldy muck in bottom rubber seal around door.)
- No window coverings in upper master bedroom (which ended up being okay since those windows overlooked forest), but uncovered window in master bath allowed clear view from front entryway into master vanity, shower, and toilet.
- Other minor fixes debriefed with Vacasa (property manager), like loose sink and fixture and slow draining sink.

Most "cons" are a product of the property manager's ability to prepare and upkeep the house, and not really about the rental property itself.

Suggest next time the hot tub is drained it be re-centered so thd steps go up to the actual entry/exit of hot tub vs the current unsafe entry/exit area.

Other suggestions:
- notepad in junk drawer by kitchen, to help plan day trips
- unscented dryer sheets (sorry but the Sauvitel sheets gave the laundry room a distinct not-awesome smell)
- cut grass and provide more outdoor/yard options (it was a jungle)
- summer/fall sports equipment (plenty of winter sports, but an added bonus would be non-snow activities)

Overall, highly recommend a stay here, and we will come back. Great for large families, or two families since there are two master suites, bunk room has twin beds for 5, and really ideal for winter activities, but we found it was pretty good for fall, too.
Manager response:
We are delighted to receive such a thorough review and hear you enjoyed your stay despite some issues. We are marking the home with a Vacasa sign for easier visibility at night. A deep cleaning has occurred, including the washing machine, and we are taking extra efforts to look for cobwebs prior to each guest arrival. We are hopeful to soon have window coverings for the master and landscaping in order. Thanks again!
