With a convenient location along Cape Arago Highway, this home is central to all the beauty that Coos Bay has to offer! Between the towns of Charleston and North Bend, it's an easy drive to tons of different activity options, and stunning views of the bay plus access to the coves are close by.
The interior of this home is well-furnished and relaxing! The living room is spacious and comfortable with tons of seating, soft leather couches, and a flatscreen TV. Gather around in the evenings and watch some cable, or put in a DVD with your friends and family!
There are eight places to sit at the gorgeous dining room table, as well as four seats at the breakfast bar, and four chairs around the smaller kitchen table. The full kitchen has all the cookware and amenities you could need to make a fantastic meal for everyone!
Down the hallway, the master bedroom boasts a California king-size bed with plush covers and two bedside tables for late-night reading. There's also a private, luxurious bathroom with a standup shower and beautiful tiling! The other two bedrooms have a California king bed and a queen-size bed, respectively, and there's another full bathroom off the hallway with a tub. With a family area toward the back of the house, children can easily play here, plus with a sofabed this home can fit up to eight people!
This home comes equipped with WiFi and a sound dock so you can jam out to your favorite tunes and stay in touch with your friends and family. Thanks to the fenced yard (which covers two acres), any kids in your group can run free, and for an additional nightly pet fee you can bring your dogs here! There's even a smaller fenced-in area with a doghouse. You'll also have an outdoor fish-cleaning station, gas grill, and a private washer/dryer!
This home is perfect for any beach bums in your family who want a good dose of ocean air and beach vibes! Access to the bay and mussels, clamming, and fishing are right at your fingertips, plus there are many beach areas where you can swim, launch your stand-up paddleboard, or soak up the sun. Charleston and North Bend are within five miles and each have their own unique town spaces, and Coos Bay is considered the best natural bay area between Puget Sound and San Francisco!
This part of the coast is teeming with beautiful panoramas, mountains, and places to explore. Sunset Bay State Park, Shore Acres State Park, and Cape Arago State Park are all within a seven-mile drive south of here, and there are many places to camp, hike, mountain bike, or whale-watch. With its central location, this home is great for bicycling as well! And with other cities such as Bandon (20 miles south) and Florence (50 miles north) within an hour drive, adventure is never far away!
With three bedrooms this was a very good place to stay a short drive to OIMB and the house was clean and comfortable. Food in the area is mediocre so be prepared for that, and leave time for cooking. They had plenty of games and such around and of course there are many sights to see in this area.

Loved the soft towels. The house is very roomy with a large dining area, a separate breakfast counter and two living areas with three bedrooms and two baths. Outside is a large lot. It was perfect area for our dog to run. (There's a lot of rabbit visitors from next door). It's set back from the road and quiet.

The large floor plan of this home was perfect for our stay with three generations of family being able to have our own quiet areas and not have to trip over one another, yet the common areas were large enough for us to all be together for games and meals. Great location and private. Can't wait to come back to this property next year! :)

Nice and spacious

This home has plenty of space for larger groups, and is well equipped with everything you’d need. It is not in a great location for walking to anything, really, so be prepared to drive to where you want to play. That said, it is an easy drive to lots of great locations, from Cape Arago to Bandon and points beyond.

Some of the advertised features were not present. Nice house. Property was not private.

We stayed here while my husband had/recovered from surgery. The house was very clean this time and beds were comfortable. We were able to move things around to accommodate our babies play area. One negative would be the amount of black animal hair all over the floors. Other than that.. Excellent!
Tammy J.Jun 2018
Close proximity to the beaches. Plenty of space for four adults and three children.

We enjoyed the home, and really appreciated that not only is there a dog run, but the entire property is fenced in case a dog gets away. The kitchen has everything you could want and the location is near the best sushi restaurant I have ever been to anywhere, Tokyo Bistro. And also the amazing french bakery, Empire Bakery.

The booking went ok, the place was not hard to find. The location was decent. Still have to drive a few miles to get into Coos Bay. We used it as a home base for a solid coastal Steelhead exploration. This is not the house for that. It is located at the farthest point away from anything. If you’re into just being near the coast, this is the place for that. Anything else, one would be better off staying at a place near ANYTHING.

We grew up in Coos Bay - and needed a place to stay for Holidays with the family. This home worked well for us. The beds are comfortable - except the hide-a-bed. Parking is ample. (although the home is hard to find the first time) We were able to bring the dog. There was plenty of space for all. The kitchen was better stocked than we expected.

I had surgery in town so my family and I stayed here for a week while I recovered. It is a great house for a manufactured home. The walls are super thin so you hear everything. There are no dressers so you have to pile your clothes on tables. The blankets stunk of musty dog.. I hope they start washing the blankets. I still think this is the nicest place to stay in the area though. As much as you pay.. I hope they work on making the place cleaner, replacing the sunken in love seat and adding some dressers to each room.

enjoyed the location for our boating needs

We were very happy with our stay at the Columbus house. It was very clean and comfortable. The location was great as well! We will definitely come back!
Sally C.Aug 2017
Very comfortable and spacious house-great to have a huge, safe fenced yard so we could play ball with our dogs. There were only two of us and the house is a 3/2 so we had loads of space. There is plenty of room for a larger family or group at this home. The bed in the master is very comfortable and the kitchen large and well stocked. We really enjoyed our stay.
Miriam C.Aug 2017
The mfg house was in the out on the edge of town, perfect place if you have a boat since it has nice parking. The house is nicely updated with lots of space and comfortable beds and furniture. I think I'd stay there again if we make it back to Coos Bay.
Judy M.Aug 2017
I had a terrible time finding a house that would allow dogs over 50#'s. Our English Mastiff was right at home here in the fenced yard. The house was roomy enough for all 5 of us and the dog. We enjoyed our stay, found the house clean and well furnished. The beds were comfortable. There was cable TV for the kids, and wi-fi for those of us who needed it. It was a good experience, close enough to the beach for us to spend our mornings there. There is a large public pool in town which the kids loved...and a bookstore that met our needs.. and of course a local ice cream parlor. We would come again.
Susan T.Jul 2017
The home is open with lots of room for a large family. The distance to the ocean-beach was about 12-15 minutes.
Kathy D.Jul 2017
Nice and roomy. Close to the beaches. Had everything we needed, including cooking, dishes and nice silverware. We liked the closing gate on the property...it was all fenced in and large for our dog. Very comfortable for the five of us.
Doris E.Apr 2017
Great if your taking dogs. Completely fenced and also has a dog run. The house is big and homey.
Rick B.Apr 2017
We enjoyed staying here for the most part. The fenced yard was great for the dog and kids, the house was comfortable for 8 people. Close to beaches , state Parks, hiking trails, as well as restaurants. The house is easy to find and handicapped accessible.
Denise W.Mar 2017
We stayed here for the OSAA 3A basketball tournament at Marshfield high school. We loved that the property was fully gated, private and had large area to park our boat. Furnishings were comfortable and the home was spacious. We will definitely stay here again next year!
MaryAnn J.Feb 2017
We love this house and love the location.

Darllyne D.Dec 2016
We very much enjoyed our stay, rain and all. The home is very clean and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable. Kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pots and pans and appliances. Very nice home. Our dog really enjoyed the fenced in yard.
Susan T.Oct 2016
We stayed here for two weeks. The location made it great to travel up and down the coast and return home after day trips. We fished, gambled, shopped and ate. The house has so many extras from crabbing and clamming supplies, fish cleaning station, ample parking for boats and vehicles and being able to secure it all in a fenced property. This is a gem of a property, our favorite vacation rental so far. There is plenty of room if you have a large group. The beds are comfortable and we felt very rested, even after two weeks. I give it 5 stars!! Vance and Susan Thomas, Klamath Falls, OR

Great place to stay. Rooms are very large. Property well maintained
Jeremy M.Sep 2016
We used this house as a base to explore the coast for a few days. It is older but well maintained. It's located on a bay. You have a ten minute drive to the coast at Charleston. Not that far from food and groceries.
It did have a distinct pet odor in the furniture and carpet. We don't have pets so it may just have been more noticeable to us. However, it was fine once we aired it out a bit.
Good beds/bathrooms and the kitchen was very adequately supplied. The flatscreen was nice for watching movies in the evenings. Really enjoyed the stay in the area.
Sandra A.Aug 2016
This place was so nice to stay in. It was very spacious for 6 people and 2 dogs, and the 2 acre fenced in yard allowed us play time with the dogs while not having to worry about them running into the street. The cleaning station outside was so valuable to us since we were bringing back clams and crab daily. It was nice to not have to mess up the kitchen with that stuff. the owners came for a visit while we were there and they were extremely friendly and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again!
Deanna H.Aug 2016
Nice place to retreat to after riding all day.
Percy T.Aug 2016
We had an enjoyable weekend staying at the "Columbus Empire House". This property is very modest looking on the outside, but is enormous on the inside with plentiful bedrooms, multiple family areas and a large kitchen. Our dog was quite happy with the dog towels provided to wipe his feet, the fully fenced and spacious yard, and of course access to the Oregon beaches only a short drive away.
If you are looking for a family getaway with your pet, this could be an ideal choice.
Minh N.Jul 2016
The house is very comfortable and accommodating. Plenty of room for a family. thos was our second time staying here and we love it. Will be staying here again when we come back to coos bay.
Valerie B.Jul 2016
My family thoroughly enjoyed staying in a home together rather than hotel rooms and we were very happy to bring our fur kids along for they also had a great stay with more than plenty of room to run around outside! We each had our own space and room and as a family we really enjoyed the house, we felt at home and that was very important to us.
Ed C.Jul 2016
House and grounds well maintained. Furnishing very nice. Kitchen well stocked. The large, gated, fenced yard was perfect for dogs.
Aaron P.Jul 2016
Easy convenient location halfway between Charleston and Coos Bay.
Adrienne N.Jun 2016
This is my family's 3rd year in a row with going through vacasa. Very pleased with the management and properties that we've occupied, they have all been beyond expectations.
The Columbus empire house is phenomenal, very spacious all around. Love the house, with 4 adults, 3 kids and dogs there was ample amount of room inside and outside.
Larry G.Jun 2016
Great property! Very clean and comfortable for our family. Would definitely stay again on a visit to this area!
Carrie H.Jun 2016
Very comfortable and clean, everything your home has for comfort.
Cindy G.Apr 2016
We stayed for 2 nights for our daughter's culinary competition. Was very nice to have parents and grandparents in one place, with the ability to cook. Home was nicer than a hotel, cleaner that the Red Lion we stayed at last year for same competition, and less expensive than any of nearby hotels. Highly recommended.
Jenifer H.Apr 2016
We had a great time!!! The house was very very clean!!! And very well stocked work everything we needed!!! A great fit for our family!!!
Betty D W.Apr 2016
Very clean and spacious, nice kitchen.
Angela N.Apr 2016
We really enjoyed our stay! Plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes and pots and pans. The kids liked the waffle maker. The little extras were so nice. It is close to the neighbors but they were very quiet. The yard is great for pets fully fenced. The house is located near plenty of stores for groceries and souvenirs. There are beaches just up the road about 10 min. All in all one of the best places we have rented!
Jennifer G.Mar 2016
This house had plenty of room for our family and grandparents for a 3 day stay. We were very surprised at the quality of furnishings and kitchen amenities. Thank you for making our spring break visit to Coos Bay comfortable.
Joan O.Mar 2016
This property is very kid friendly. No stairs and lots of open area. I did especially like the fenced in yard.
Celia F.Jan 2016
We had a great time. Nice house, nicely laid out for a large group.
John L.Jan 2016
We enjoyed the secure, large space.
Sherri J.Jan 2016
This house was very comfortable for 5 adults and a toddler. Our toddler loved the wide open spaces to explore - inside and out! We really appreciated the security of the completely fenced property.
Petra T.Dec 2015
We were a group of 6 adults and two younger kids and two large and one small dogs. The place was very spacious, clean and comfortable. We loved that the property was completely fenced in. Especially being on a busy road. We felt comfortable letting the dogs out to play and roam. We also loved having extra dog amenities. This place has many great qualities.
But, the guest bathroom door was barely hanging on. Every time a person would use it we had to put screws back in.
Rebecca L.Oct 2015
The house is welcoming - well equipped to help make great vacation memories. Lots of little touches make it extra special. We plan to return. Thank you!
Kristina B.Aug 2015
Nice and comfortable. It did smell of pets when we first arrived, so if you're sensitive beware. It was a nice place, though, and would stay here again.
