Quiet, luxury retreat surrounded by serene gardens and landscaping

Perfect for a honeymooning couple, romantic getaway for two, or serene solo retreat, this gorgeous Cape Cod vacation rental is a special place where you can truly relax. With immaculately landscaped grounds, a luxurious interior, and all the comforts of home, you'll want to return to this gorgeous home again and again!

Located just off of Main Street in West Chatham, this home is on a cul-de-sac in a quieter part of town but still close to everything. Nearby are plenty of ponds to enjoy, and with the Old Colony Rail Trail bike path passing right by the home you can easily ride to area parks, businesses, and even the beaches this part of the country is famous for.

With one bedroom and one bathroom, this cozy and upscale home is a full, separate living space atop the garage of a larger house. Although you're sharing the property with the owners, an atmosphere of serenity permeates the area and you'll enjoy plenty of peace and quiet, plus full access to the lawns, gardens, and water features around the grounds.

Walk up a set of stairs and pass through the kitchen to find yourself in the beautiful living space, complete with cathedral ceilings, Palladian windows, and plenty of sunlight streaming in through the skylights and balcony doors. You'll want to head outside to the balcony right away, where you can sit at the table with a cup of coffee or glass of wine and look out over the gorgeous green landscape, hydrangea gardens, and lovely fountain.

Back inside, have a seat on the sofa and relax! Here you can watch cable TV, read one of the provided books, or use the provided WiFi to look up restaurant reviews or directions to must-see activities. This home even has a music system throughout with controls in every room, so you can listen to your favorite tunes easily no matter which room you're in.

Head into the kitchen and admire the granite countertops, glossy wooden cabinets, and modern appliances. Stocked with plenty of cooking tools, simply bring your own fresh ingredients to enjoy tasty home-cooked meals during your stay. There's a lovely glass-top dining table in the living room where you can sit and look out over the grounds while you eat.

Down the hall is the full bathroom that also offers a washer and dryer so you will always have clean and fresh clothes. At the other end of the living room is the bedroom, which boasts a cozy king-size bed where you will sleep soundly, plus a flatscreen TV, and bedside reading lamps. A skylight and windows will let that glorious early-morning sunshine stream in to greet you at the beginning of the day.

With just the right amount of space for two guests, this is the perfect place to relax and reconnect with a loved one - though it would also be a fantastic spot for a solo getaway! While you're here, be sure to explore the impeccably landscaped grounds and take full advantage of all the relaxing features.

Walk down the soft grass to the small pond and sit on the bench while admiring the fountain and taking in the scents of the flowers. Stroll over to the gazebo and sip a glass of your favorite wine, read a book while stretched out on the warm grass, or take a luxurious afternoon nap in the hammock. With so many relaxing and beautiful features, you may be content to stay right here on the property for your entire visit!

If you do decide to venture out to explore the neighborhood, you will find plenty of fun activities within easy reach. Head just south to Main Street then drive east a couple miles to Chatham proper, and you will encounter all sorts of fun boutiques, inspiring galleries, and eateries to suit every taste. In the neighborhood are a few fun parks to explore, and you can even hop on your bikes and take the Old Colony Rail Trail through town and beyond.

Of course, this part of the country is a fabulous place to vacation if you love the outdoors. You could go sailing in the nearby harbors, kayaking on Oyster Pond or other smaller bodies of water, or fishing in the open ocean. Take a tour of historic lighthouses starting with the iconic Chatham Lighthouse, or spend a day enjoying the sand and surf at the lovely South Beach. With plenty of urban attractions nearby, ample outdoor recreation activities, and nearly endless daytrip opportunities, you'll never run out of ways to stay busy here!

Whether you're looking for a tranquil retreat or a home base for a fun-filled trip with a loved one, this upscale Chatham vacation rental has everything you may need to have a truly wonderful time here on Cape Cod.

This is one of the nicest places my husband and I have ever stayed. It’s beautifully decorated, comfortable and immaculately maintained. The location is convenient to almost everything - and if you’re a biker, the Old Colony Rail Trail [which connects to the Cape Cod Rail Trail) runs just behind the house.

We really enjoyed staying in this couples retreat! The space was perfect for our long weekend getaway! The location was nice and peaceful and quiet! We had everything we needed for our stay and would recommend this to any couple. The location is close to beaches, great restaurants, and the town of Chatham for great shopping. We would love to stay at this retreat again!!

My husband and I couldn't have been more pleased with this great place! We were married at the Chatham Bars Inn 10 years ago and come to Chatham every 5 years to celebrate our anniversary. This is the first year we didn't stay at the CBI because the prices are just too expensive for what you get. This opened up the opportunity to discover this wonderful accommodation! The grounds are spectacular and tended with care. Our accommodations were more like an apartment complete with full kitchen, washer dryer, sound system with speakers in every room, a deck to overlook the beautiful Pond and Landscaping and a nice bedroom, which every couple wants . . . wink! wink! The location was 2.5 miles from downtown Chatham. Ponds and Beaches were a mile away and we discovered beaches in Chatham we never knew existed before! If that wasn't enough, the biggest surprise was it was right on the Cape Cod Bike Trail! Next time we will bring our bikes. We were lucky enough to meet the owner on our day of arrival and felt like we were family just coming to visit from out of town. So . . . Love you Chatham Bars Inn, will always come to have your Clambake on our anniversary but we're going to have to start staying here because it's wonderful, feels very homey and we were able to stay for 6 nights at the price of yours for 2 nights.

Chatham is charming and this property is well-located close to the town but still quiet. The grounds are like a professional garden. Our private outdoor stairway led to the first of two decks, and the entrance of the suite. The attention to detail inside is amazing. We met the owner, and he was fun to talk with, but he will leave you alone unless you approach him. We will go back.

Gerry's property is absolutely beautiful!! The yard was meticulously landscaped and the house is impeccable!! You can see the pride of ownership in this property! Everything was just as described and the pictures were a true depiction. The place was so clean and well maintained! My husband and I would definitely stay here again!! Gerry is super friendly but also respectful of your privacy. I would highly recommend this Chatham escape!!

This location is obviously constructed with a craftsman's eye and impeccably maintained. It is a very refreshing break from the common approach to create a "sense" of quality, caring or tranquillity. This place is all about quality, caring and tranquillity to its core. This retreat is the real deal, no façade of things done from a marketing manual here.
The property itself is beautiful and comforting. The bed and bedding are very comfortable. The hosts, should you be lucky enough to meet them, are very welcoming. The grounds are immaculate and serene. The location is right at the intersection of two long greenways. Near by is a skate park off of one of the greenways to entertain those not into serenity. Several beaches are a short drive away. The town of Chatham, which to us has done the best to maintain it's old world charm without becoming a gaudy tourist extravaganza, is a short 2 mile drive, or walk if you prefer. Our entire group agreed the "Wild Goose Tavern" in Chatham served the best meals we had anywhere on Cape Cod.
To give you an idea for how wonderful a place to stay this is: We were in Cape Cod for our son's wedding. The bride's parents rented a nice large home on the coast that was also the location of the wedding. When the bride and groom visited us they immediately decided they much preferred the ambiance of our location over the coastal home and will be reserving it for their first anniversary next year.

Such a lovely place to stay, away from the hustle and bustle but still convenient enough to get everywhere we wanted to go. The bed was wonderful, we were happy to have the ability to open everything up and enjoy the fresh air It was like being at home. The location extremely central. We loved it!

We greatly enjoyed our time at this property. We met the owner, who was very nice and helpful. It's close to town and is a beautiful place to stay-modern, with all needed amenities!

I found this property by searching from listings online and selected it based on the photos and reviews, all of which were spot on. The rental unit is located above the garage---secluded enough to provide for privacy, yet the owners are nearby in the main house for convenience. Jerry & Irene welcomed us the first morning of our stay then went about their daily lives, leaving us to enjoy the beautiful property and surrounding areas on our own. Everyone in Chatham was friendly and we had the best time exploring the little towns along the Cape, taking the ferry to Nantucket, and enjoying a ball game at Fenway Park. I can't recommend this property highly enough and would absolutely choose it again for a future stay in Cape Cod!

A very nice place to rest, and visit Chatham. Harding Beach is not far and is a wonderful place to see the sunsets! The bike path, in back of the house makes it a nice place for biking or for walks any time of the day.
The apartment is spacious , cosy, comfortable and well maintained. The owners are very nice , discrete and made us feel welcomed.
We have been coming to Cape Cod for many years and this stay will be remembered as a memorable experience.

Came in to Chatham for a family wedding. Words cannot describe or pictures do this beautiful home any justice. The owners are so very kind and sure do an amazing job on this house. Simply beautiful is putting this property to shame, it was exquisite. Would love to come back again.

Awesome rental property. Everything the description and pictures portray it is. Wasn't sure the owner was there until the second day when he introduced himself to see if we needed anything and if we were enjoying ourselves.

Location is very quiet and relaxing but in the middle of everything you would want to do.

The location, and lovely accommodations were what we needed to enjoy several days at the Cape. Centrally located we were able to visit friends and former places of interest on Cape Cod. Thankfully, the Hurricane which couldn't make up its mind at to where it would land, finally turned out to sea and left us with 5 cloudless, sunny days of beautiful fall weather.
Steve G. Sep 2015
The house and property were exactly as advertised. The owner, whom was spoken too only briefly (as he was very attentive to letting us, his guests, have our privacy) was a real nice chap. Great story on how he with his own two hands built up the property. The place was more than spacious for my girlfriend and I and everything was obviously newly finished. We were completely comfortable from the start to the finish. Only one small hiccup with regards to the washer/dryer being out of commission. But, a reasonable explanation that it went suddenly on the blink was good enough to convince us to happily blow off doing travel laundry. A minor suggestion would be to have just shot a quick line to advise but it did not impact the stay for us one bit. Chatham is a town I've visited before, was extremely glad to hang out in further and will definitely come back to. It is what the Cape is about to this former son of Boston. A great place to stay in a great area to stay in.

My husband and I were sad we only had 2 days to enjoy this property! But, one of the luxuries of the space is that you can rent it for two days in the summer when most rentals are weekly.

We visited in early August and were extremely pleased with the conditions of the property. The yard was beautiful - and the unit was spacious, cleanly, comfortable and super accommodating with 2 decks available to you for enjoying the summer outside (much more enjoyable than a hotel room). The location was perfect - a short drive to downtown Chatham and beaches. If you like exercising, you are right on the Cape Cod bike path which is a plus!

Last, but not least, the owners Jerry and Irene were very hospitable and made sure our stay was perfect. We enjoyed talking with them and learning about the property. They even kept the lights on for us for our *late* arrival.

We will definitely come back.
