This house was great! Great deck! Great dock! Lots of water toys for the kids (and adults) Plenty of kitchen items for cooking and lots of blankets and towels. The room with the queen beds is detached from the house and on the lower level. No bathroom down there. Overall this was a great spot! We paddled over to Carlin Bay for lunch! The one and only thing that could be an issue for some is the stairs. Lots of stairs up from parking and quite a few more down from the main house to the beach. We were just fine with the stairs but someone like my grandma would have a heck of a time! We had a wonderful time!!!

We loved the backyard beach access! The deck and dock are beautiful and so sturdy! Having access to the water toys was a big bonus! The view is unbeatable! We brought plenty of water for drinking and coffee, etc, so the water situation was no problem. I was a little unsure about washing dishes and taking showers but it was just fine! Thankfully we are healthy and strong - carrying all your luggage down the fairly steep stairs could prove difficult for some. Check-in and out were super easy! The automated emails and texts were perfectly timed! I always knew exactly what to do! That is definitely a compliment as we’ve rented many houses and such good communication is rare. We took a look in the downstairs sleeping area - it looked like it had just been used and felt very cold...? That was surprising as the rest of the house was very clean and inviting.

The most impressive aspect of this property was its location and access to the lake. It's on a fairly quiet bay, and the house has a nice pebble beach with easy access for smaller children, plus a large dock for jumping into the deeper waters. We also took advantage of the kayak and SUP board to paddle the kids around the bay. We ate dinner every night on the large back deck and thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor spaces. The interior of the house has everything you need to be comfortable and is well-set up for families and larger groups. We definitely recommend this spot on CDA!

We had such a great time at this cabin. It was just as described. What it may have lacked on the inside ( drinking water, which we were aware of) it made up 100 times in location. My kids played for 4 days straight on the dock and on the many water toys Amy provided. The deck is massive and perfect to relax on and enjoy our meals. The only downside is we needed about 4 more days to relax! Amy’s place is truly a gem and totally worth it.

Amy's cabin was a wonderful getaway for our family. The outdoor deck is huge and in mint condition and the Trex dock was delightful. There are plenty of outdoor chairs, a 1 person kayak, a paddleboard and a paddle boat for 2. I wish we'd had a boat to dock in their covered slip. We slept upstairs only on the comfy beds but the sleeping porch was tidy and welcoming when we arrived. We loved roasting marshmallows and hot dogs in the beach firepit. One thing to note is the water situation at the cabin. We had to bring our own drinking water since the cabin uses unfiltered lake water and were asked to conserve by not flushing every time. It was something I overlooked when I booked. Amy is a responsive host with a great sense of humor. We also found that at the cabin our AT&T phones and tablet worked fine. We didn't use them much, but it was nice to call ahead and look up hours of places we were visiting.

Our family of five had a wonderful time at your cabin. The cabin is clean, comfortable, and well stocked. We particularly enjoyed your fabulous deck and outstanding dock and swim area. One morning we drove the short distance to Harrison and road our bikes on the beautiful Trail of the Coeur d' Alenes. We hope to return!

Our group, a family of 5 (with 3 teenagers) and 2 adult friends had a wonderful vacation at this cabin. The location is ideal. Spent the day on the beautiful dock or in the shade of the deck. Cabin is very adequate and has everything you will need. It is not a 5 star hotel. It is a cabin, but a beautiful setting, ideal for our vacation!!!!

We spent a week here and from the first moments the kids were already planning our next visit to this Carlin Bay cabin. As a parent with kids the relaxed days and electronic free time to play and relax was the perfect setting for our family to enjoy our time at the cabin. Lot's of laughs, sudoku challenges and lake time made this perfect. Thank you for sharing this sweet cabin!!

This cabin is in a beautiful setting with a large deck overlooking the lake that we had coffee on every morning and ate dinner on every night. It had the nicest dock in the area and our boat rental company brought our boat right to our dock! The home is cute with comfortable furniture, the kitchen well stocked, beds comfortable, plenty of towels. Our kids loved the room below the house. We spent a lot of time lying on the dock or sitting on the beach. There is plenty of shade and loved the foliage! An added plus was that the house was decorated for 4th of July which added to the fun! Would definitely stay here again!!

This is a unique cottage that has old world charm and is immaculately kept. Surrounded by gorcious greenery, small grass area below the cottage and right on the lake with a well kept dock. We had a wonderful relaxing stay here and I can't thank the owner enough for making everything very comfortable for us.

We had a great time at the cabin. It has a cute sleeping porch separate from the main cabin, a nice beach space / swimming area (not to mention a diving platform for those that are more adventurous), a really nice boat dock and a large fire pit. We used it as a jumping off point for swimming, boating and did the short drive to Harrison to rent bikes on the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes. We had a bit of rain and wanted to get out so also did day trips (we don't mind driving, but each was an hour plus away) up to Silverwood theme park and to pan for gold in Kellogg. Both were very fun. The cabin itself was simple but nice and very clean. The only negatives: (1) for those that get car sick (one of my brood unfortunately does) is that the road along the east side of the lake is quite windy, but we still found it well worth it and (2) we didn't mind, but there are quite a few stairs down to the cabin from the parking area that could be challenging for those less mobile.

We spent a few days in the CDA area and stayed at this lakefront property. The description and pictures are accurate and the cabin and property are very nice. We did not use the downstairs sleeping area. There are quite a few steps, but not bad. Parking at the top of the steps is a little tight, but we managed to park a car trailer and van. The views are great, the water clear, and the deck is wonderful. We did not use the fire pit due to the area fire ban. We used the bike trail several times, and the drive to Harrison is short. Fishing off the dock was fun-the dock and boat slip is composite, also the deck on the house. Very nice. The homeowners are great with communications, etc. If you want fancy appliances, whirlpool baths and granite in the kitchen, you will miss the true cabin feel of this property. It was great.
