We stayed at Hytta Hyggelig in late May as a family of five (my wife and I, plus our three kids), and it was an incredible experience. The home is beautifully designed and thoughtfully laid out—plenty of sleeping space, including a fun loft that our kids loved. While there’s only one bathroom, the space still worked great for us. The panoramic mountain views are simply stunning. Each morning we had breakfast while watching the sunrise over the peaks, and in the evenings we could see the lights twinkling from Tabernash and Winter Park in the valley below—yet all you could hear was nature. Deer wandered right up to the windows, and chipmunks kept the kids entertained. It was peaceful, quiet, and exactly the kind of getaway we were hoping for. We appreciated the focus on nature and simplicity—no TVs cluttering every room, but instead lots of big, operable windows to let the mountain air in. The tri-fold glass door in the living room was a great touch, really opening the space up to the outdoors. The property is fairly new, so some of the exterior landscaping is still in progress, with a few piles of trees and leftover construction debris, but it didn’t take away from the experience. We were a little disappointed that the hot tub wasn't available for use and that the "gas grill" turned out to be more of a flat-top griddle, but we made it work. Even though it felt remote and private, we were just 15 minutes from Granby for groceries and restaurants. We also visited Hot Sulphur Springs one day, which made for a great outing, and it was so nice to come back to the calm and comfort of Hytta Hyggelig afterward. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a peaceful mountain retreat, especially for families who want to unplug and reconnect.

Spacious home with well furnished back deck with view of ski area. Appreciated game tables in the basement and kids toys that were available. Would recommend this property to anyone.

We loved the heated floor in the master bathroom. The neighborhood was quiet and the view of the Continental Divide was beautiful.
