The galley kitchenette offers the essentials for snack storage (and for preparing picnics!) as it provides a miniature sink, microwave, coffeemaker, and refrigerator. Chances are you'll use the kitchenette for heating up leftovers, as you're surrounding by diverse cuisine including German food at Rathskeller, Italian food at Pasta Bella, and Tex-Mex from Hondo's On Main!

The romantic Texas bed and breakfast is truly the perfect escape for two people. Before bed, relax in the handsome wrought-iron bed with a movie on the flatscreen TV, or soak with your sweetheart in your private hot tub! Don't forget to rinse off in the fantastic walk-in shower which treats guests to two shower heads.

Whether getting ready to tuck in for the night or preparing for date night on the town, this gorgeous bathroom with a double-sink vanity will make you feel pampered. By nightfall, you'll rest easy in the king-size bed.

The next morning, start your day refreshed listening to the creek rush in the courtyard, then make your way to the Old German Bakery for sweets and coffee at Java Ranch Espresso Bar & Cafe. When you feel like shopping, Main Street is lined with charming shops and antique stores, and the nearby Wildseed Farms is a beautiful place to pick wildflowers or look for garden decor.

Split your time between the tasting rooms and historic sites! Sip your way through Fredericksburg Winery, Grape Creek Vineyards On Main, and Fiesta Winery Fredericksburg, then make it home for a nap before dinner! The next day, discover the region's rich heritage at the National Museum of the Pacific War, Der Stadt Friedhof cemetery, and Pioneer Museum Complex.

You won't find a more intimate setting or stylish cottage amenities than in this adorable Texas Hill Country cottage!

What a great place to stay.. We will be going back to stay in the Betty!!!
Cindy M. Sep 2019
It was great, just pricey. If cheaper, I would have given 5 stars. Pretty unusual to get your own hot tub. And I went through Booking, just because the computer took me there. Next time I'll try Vacasa direct.

Perfect for a close-in and quiet stay, with amazing German pastries. The cabin and grounds were beautiful; already planning a return visit.

Loved the location to Main Street and quiet charm of this cottage. Running water outside drowned any noise from the street and fireplace to switch on by the wall was very chic! Homemade pastry upon arrival was a welcome treat and our own private hot tub was clean and hot and just off the bathroom so easy to dash back in since it was cold out. Robes are provided as well as hairdryer and light-up makeup mirror! Coffee maker with coffee as well as orange juice and waters in the mini fridge were a welcome relief compared to regular hotels that stock a pricey mini bar. Bed linens were cozy and clean and leather chairs at the foot of the bed made it a nice spot to sit and have coffee and pastry by the fire.

The only thing I would suggest is to make the WiFi more reliable. It was spotty at best and since so many rely on their phones, it was the only thing that was problematic during our stay.

We will definitely be going back!! Thank you!!

The place was beautiful and cozy. The only things that were upsetting was ice machine didn’t work and the a/c wasn’t cold enough for the money you pay.

Beautiful property. Located in the middle of town but you would never know it once you have entered the parking lot. So quiet and tranquil. I can't wait to go back.

I highly recommend Blacksmith Quarters on Barron's Creek and will reserve it for our next visit. Ideal location - impeccable landscaping with a beautiful water feature !
Kathy B. May 2016
Not hot breakfast, high price for amenities.
Manager response:
We are sorry to read about your disappointments. While the breakfast provided is not hot, the pastries are wonderful!
James S. May 2016
Very nice place. Overpriced for what it was, but definitely a nice room. Jacuzzi didn't work and vacasa is far away and unresponsive, so that's a gamble. There appears to be no support on site. Cool fireplace. Some breakfast in room so that was good. Great location. Would prob stay again.
Manager response:
We apologize that we have been slow to respond to guest emails and phone calls; we have experienced a large increase in volume and are currently hiring more hands to assist us in better handling our inquiries.

For us the perfect position, walking distance of everywhere we wanted to be. The cottage was clean, comfortable, well equipped and considering how close to main street, it was very quiet. After a busy day of being a tourist, so relaxing to sit on the patio and listen to the water of the water feature (a few fish would have been good!). The milk, orange, cereals, cinnamon roll cake was a pleasant surprise too.
