Enchanting downtown cottage w/copper soaking tub & courtyard
This enchanting Fredericksburg chalet celebrates the history and romance of bygone days, offering unbelievable furnishings (like an in-suite copper soaking tub) and the perfect downtown location for sweethearts. You won't find a more romantic place to call home while exploring the region's rich German history, wineries, and antique shops! A light, unhosted breakfast is included in your stay.
Eden’s Gate is a uniquely fabulous home situated above the charming Lone Star Candy Bar on Main Street. Located in the heart of the city, you’re within walking distance to wineries and the Fredericksburg Brewing Company, antique stores, and swanky restaurants like August E’s.
The charming Texas vacation rental provides a private entrance to the cobblestone courtyard. The entrance alone is like stepping through a secret garden, and the space is enclosed by a hand-made wooden fence and pergola that is nothing short of a work of art! Sip espresso or vino around the shabby chic bistro table, or surprise your loved one with a gourmet picnic in the lush green backyard. An upstairs patio offers the best seat in the house to see the stars at night.
Inside will instantly wow you with tall ceilings and dramatic decor to inspire your romantic getaway. The breaking Fredericksburg cottage provides a fairytale-like setting light by ornate chandeliers. Rustic hardwood floors, a reclaimed wood ceiling, and exposed stone accent walls add an organic touch to the space that's made elegant by lace curtains, quilts, and area rugs.
The one-bedroom suite comfortably lodges two guests and offers an adjoining bathroom and a recently-updated shower. A weathered copper soaking tub takes center stage in this romantic suite, and creates a calming luxurious atmosphere. Buy lavender and wildflowers from Wildseed Farms in town to treat your loved one to a special bath. Beyond the tub is full bathroom that's equally impressive, with a handsome travertine tile walk-in shower illuminated by a stained glass window.
When not enjoying a spa-like experience at home, unwind with a movie or music on the DVD/CD player, or stream music via the free WiFi. The loveseat is nestled in its own private nook and offers the perfect place to recount the day’s adventures or curl up with a good book. Candles in the decorative fireplace create the perfect mood just before you sink into the queen-size bed for sleep. Each morning, walk to the Old German Bakery & Restaurant for decadent sweets that you can store and re-heat in your kitchenette.
The nearby community offers something for everyone! History buffs will love exploring the National Museum of the Pacific War, Admiral Nimitz State Historic Site, or Pioneer Museum Complex. Pack your hiking shoes to wander the unique landscape of Enchanted Rock State Natural Area, or wear your dress shoes instead to view Texas Hill vineyards like Grape Creek Vineyards. When you're ready to make dinner reservations, you have the choice of international fare, from Italy, Germany, and America (including Tex-Mex and BBQ)!
This Texas Hill Country cottage is truly inspiring, and will provide an intimate getaway with you and that someone special.

Loved the room, wish we could have stayed longer.
Being right above one of the shops on Main St is already fantastic, but add this beautifully decorated room with an amazing bath tub, AND delicious snacks/treats, and this spot just can't be beat. It's a little pricey, but we splurged for our anniversary. We had a fabulous time and wished we could have stayed longer!
The room is truly beautiful. Great location central to Main Street businesses and the museums.
The ladies in the office when we checked in were nice and helpful. We had our own parking space right next to our room. The room was upstairs and the view was beautiful. It was a couple minute walk to Main Street. &The room was beautiful!
The place is beautifully appointed and the breakfast treat is lovely!
Very nice room!!! Great Location
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Eden's Gate. The property is breathtakingly beautiful, and the freestanding copper tub was one of the items we enjoyed most about the room. From the luxurious linens and drapery to the stocked mini fridge, Eden's Gate makes you feel right at home. I highly recommend this property to any couple looking for a romantic getaway within walking distance of the best restaurants and shops in Fredericksburg!
I hesitate a bit to write this review because we don't want this little "secret" getting out, but it is too good to not gush over. We absolutely LOVED this room. We travel quite a bit and have stayed in every kind of accommodation you can imagine and agreed that this one is hands down our favorite! The bathtub is amazing, and though it is in the main room, it's not out of place... It's like a work of art. The kitchenette was well stocked and the bed was super comfortable.
We Highly recommend this room and Vacasa as a whole... The staff went above and beyond at every turn. Not only did they gracefully rescue us the night we locked ourselves our out, bet we really enjoyed the handwritten notes in our welcome packet as well.
We Will Be Back!!!
4th Time staying her. What does that say about our opinion of the room and people.
If you want to walk to Treaty House and do plenty of shopping on main, this is the spot. Glorious decor, big copper tub and comfy bed. Loved it!

My best friend and I took a girls trip to Fredericksburg for the weekend, and couldn't have booked a better place to stay! We toured the wineries just outside of town on our first day there and were not able to check in during office hours but the late check in option provided was incredibly simple, and allowed for stress-free planning. This space is located in the heart of downtown, making for a short walk to the shops and restaurants. The room was charming down to the last detail, and spotless! Plenty of towels, shampoo, conditioner and blankets were provided. We both thoroughly enjoyed having the pastry, coffee and cereal for breakfast before getting on the road to head home and the check out process was just as seamless as the check-in! There is not a single thing I would change about our experience at Eden's Garden. Thank you for helping make our girls weekend getaway, a special one!
Lizza at the main office was great to talk to about happenings around Fredricksburg. She was very nice and even gave me her cell number incase we happened to lock ourselves out of the room.
The inside of Eden's Gate is beautiful!
The outside, well there were a few issues. The candy store is located downstairs so they stacked their trash into carts to carry it to the garbage. But it wasn't taken to the trash immediately. On more than one occasion when we were returning to the room the trash was still there. It was gone however when we returned in the evening from dinner. There were also dozens of dead bees in the window of the candy store window that was going up the stairs to Eden's Gate. There was dirt and bits of something, maybe food,on the floor of Eden's Gate which made walking barefood impossible because it ended up on the bottom of your feet. We also saw many roaches outside and unfortunately a few inside too. That really ruined our stay at Eden's Gate. I hope that they take care of whatever issue or issues that are causing the roach problem because the property is gorgeous on the inside. I don't know if we will return, especially after paying 300+ and having these issues. But it is a great location!
We apologize for the amount of bugs this guest encountered. The candy store and the home have been serviced by pest control. The home has also received a deep clean since this reservation. Thank you!
Perfect location. Beautifully furnished. Great choice for a romantic getaway.

Eden's Gate was wonderful! Great location on Main St. close to the shops and restaurants. The decor of the room is very vintage and cool and the breakfast goodies were wonderful.
Loved Eden's Gate with just one caveat. It is a lovely place but please, please replace the shower! That is the only negative thing I have to say about it. The little kitchenette and dishes are so pretty and fun, the bed was comfy...loved it all for a short stay. The bathroom is quite small, but we managed. Can't beat the location and romantic ambience.
Nice location! Like stepping back in time! Very romantic...
We enjoyed our stay. I would suggest if you stay on a night where a band is playing across the street you either stay out late or bring ear plugs. We were so tired from being out all day that we fell asleep in spite of the band. Great location.
Great location and place to stay.

This unit provides exactly the experience a couple vacationing in Fredricksburg is looking for! It is so cozy and has so much detail and charm to explore that you hardly want to leave it! The location could not be more perfect - on Main Street - in the heart of shopping and eating and music spots. I would warn that the tub is more suitable for ambiance than function - its enormous and beautiful but the current hot water heater simply cannot accommodate a hot bath in it. On a positive note, the large walk-in shower did not lose heat and had a good shower head, the bedding was spectacular, and the cake provided was delectable. I would recommend adding a way to brew coffee - there is a Keurig in the adorable kitchen cupboard, but there were no pods or coffee to brew. We did use the microwave to heat up water and enjoyed the provided chamomile tea with cake :). Lastly, it was a little off putting that the only late checkout option requires a monetary fee. There was no one checking in the day we left, and it would have been appreciated to have an extra hour complimentary, as would be standard in a hotel of this price point. Overall, Eden's Gate provides a memorable experience that adds so much to the old world charm of Fredricksburg. We will be back for sure!
Hands down, the most breathtaking property for two in Fredericksburg. The attention to detail was astounding. I felt like a princess and it was incredibly romantic. The location could not be better because you are right on Main St in the heart of it all! The room was super clean and the bed was very comfy. I would absolutely recommend Eden's Gate to anyone looking for a romantic getaway!
Eden's gate, was the perfect place to stay, location was great and the staff was very friendly and helpful!!
This is a great location and excellent value. Would be a full 5 stars if I had found the bed more comfortable. To be fair, I am not a good sleeper and am therefore very particular. You can't go wrong with this place.
My husband and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary at Edens Gate and it was absolutely perfect! It was romantic, super inviting, clean and in town. The copper tub is hands down the best! Can't wait to go back! :)

This place is a must if you're looking to stroll the town, dine and shop within walking distance of your room, or have a central location to the wineries and Enchanted Rock. The room is breathtaking with the stone walls, Victorian appeal, copper tub (don't worry guys, there is a shower too), and beautiful wood. It's a private property right on Main Street and even has a back porch to enjoy coffee or mimosas (grab some bubbles to enjoy with the OJ) in the morning. I had a lovely experience here and would certainly return.
Property was very nice and classic. It was interesting to learn about the history of the builder and the people who bought it afterwards. This is the first time I stayed in a house built around 1867 and thought it was very charming. Also, there are tons of activities in the area and this place is conveniently close to a lot of the downtown places. The only suggestion is to update entertainment system to make it less complicated and add streaming capability (sorry if this sounds conflicting with the historical side of the building but I thought it was important to meet history and technology right in the middle). Also, check the copper bathtub water temperature as we could not get warm water to fill more than a quarter of the tub as it turned cold and we ended up not bathing on it. It maybe because this is the way it works so we apologize in advance if this is the case.
This lovely, quaint B&B is like time traveling back in time, but with the luxury and conveniences of today. If you never leave the property, you will experience a wonderful slice of heaven! We desperately want to visit again, but for a longer stay!

We had such a great time ! We will be back !
The haven is strategically located for all going on in the heart of town--yet it is comfortable and quiet. The coffee cake was delectable.
Charming, quaint property! Loved the style of the property. Great location!
Very romantic b and b! One of my favorites!

Nice clean convenient place to stay on main street. Definitely would go back.
