Located in Fredericksburg, Texas, this wonderful community of cottages is only one block from Main Street and the National Museum of the Pacific War. You'll also be within walking distance of restaurants, wineries, and the George H.W. Bush Gallery.
This combined listing includes all eight cottages in The Blacksmith Quarters on Barons Creek, as well as the original Ransleben-Moellering home, built in the 1800s and beautifully restored. If you're traveling with a smaller group, we also offer all of the cottages as separate rentals.
This collection of buildings has a fascinating history! Built on the original Ransleben Blacksmith property, all eight cottages are named after the Blacksmith children. The Italian phrase "Qui Si Sana" is inscribed on the entrance of the compound, translating to "Here You Heal" and honoring the owner's heritage. All of the cottages have distinct architectural styles to reflect the different time periods and construction styles in Fredericksburg's history.
Each opulent cottage has a fireplace with gas logs, comfortable furniture for relaxing, a flatscreen TV, and a coffee bar with a sink, refrigerator, microwave, and coffeemaker for waking you up in the morning.
The Ransleben-Moellering House has three bedrooms (two with king beds and one with a queen bed) and three full bathrooms with walk-in showers, as well as a living room and private walled courtyard with a hot tub and outdoor fireplace.
Each of the suite-style cottages has one lovely bedroom with a king-size bed and a private bathroom. You'll love sleeping in one of the luxurious, triple-sheeted king-size bed with plush comforters. Each suite has its own private bathroom, complete with plush towels, bath products, and hairdryers.
Each of the cottages also has its own private hot tub - perfect for taking a romantic soak in the evening with your someone special and enjoying the ambiance of the landscaping. While the sun sets, wander the grounds, strolling through the gorgeous landscaping designed by Rene J. L. Fransen, a famed landscape architect.
Other amenities for all Blacksmith Quarters guests include complimentary WiFi, central air and heat, on-site parking, and access to the meeting facility for your big event!
