Beautifully situated on an inlet of Ocean Harbor, this single-level cottage is just a short stroll or paddle from the point at which the Damariscotta River meets the Atlantic Ocean. It's also less than two miles from the Linekin Preserve and Burley Loop, three miles from Ocean Point, and six miles from vibrant Boothbay Harbor.

With a cheerful red exterior, a porch swing, and several planted flower boxes, this cabin will immediately make you feel at home. Inside, you'll find lofty ceilings, exposed wood paneling and crossbeams, and casual furnishings to help you relax.

Begin each day with a brisk walk around the Linekin Preserve and Burley Loop, returning home to prepare breakfast in the full kitchen. This open space offers a gas range, every essential appliance, and a round dining table with space for four. There's also a grill for cookouts!

When the summer sun is shining or the autumn leaves turning, step outside to enjoy a beautiful back deck with views of the bay's shining waters. Pick up fresh lobster rolls, haddock, and steamers from Boothbay Lobster Wharf in town, and enjoy them at the shaded patio table with a view of the sunset.

Back inside, you can spend quiet evenings at home with your kids, watching a family favorite on the flatscreen cable TV or browsing the wireless internet.

The Cabin on the Shore has two bedrooms and one full bathroom, which accommodate as many as four guests. The cozy master bedroom is full of country charm, offering a double bed with a quilted coverlet. The second bedroom has two twin beds and the bathroom features a walk-in stall shower.

Very cute cabin. Needs new couch and twin mattresses. Vacasa charges too many 'fees'. Brings the price beyond what I felt it was worth.
Manager response:
We are sorry to see this guest did not enjoy the mattresses or furnishings. The mattresses were all new last year, and the home furnishings are in a cottage style decor. Thank you!

This was a great Maine escape. Close enough to boothbay harbor for dinner and sightseeing but far enough away that it's quiet, woodsy and the ocean is at your back door. No access to the water from the property but the views were fantastic! The cabin is cute and perfect for our family of 3. The couch needs updating but all other furniture was great! Would definitely stay again.

The house was the perfect size for 4 people. Fantastic location - near enough to Boothbay Harbor but very quiet and intimate. Easy access to all that area of Maine has to offer.
Note: For swimmers, there is no access to the water from the property. This didn't bother us one bit, as the view was spectacular.
