This is our second time staying at this property and it was just as wonderful the second time around. It is such a beautiful, peaceful place to stay.

We love the location and the size of the house. Would love to visit again with some minor repairs.

We loved the setting...looking out onto the water in the early morning was beautiful. The unit was very clean and bright with lots of natural light. It has plenty of space (2 bedrooms, good sized kitchen and bath), easy to find and good parking spaces. It rained most of the weekend we were there so we weren't able to use the outdoor fire pit or bbq grill, but it was nice to know it was there for our use. It's a lovely peaceful setting and we enjoyed our time there.

With a population of just over 5,000, Waldoboro is located at the tip of the Medomak River, a 40-mile long river historically known as the Muscongus River. Our Waldoboro vacation rentals are the perfect way to experience Maine, whether you visit in the summer or the winter.

Things to Do in Waldoboro, ME

Housed in a nineteenth-century roadhouse off of Route 1, Fawcett's Antique Toy & Art Museum is unlike anything you've ever seen. This museum, art gallery, and antique toy shop all in one is perfect for adults (some of its toys date back as far as the 1930s). And, of course, the kids will love it too! You can easily spend hours in here, browsing around and reminiscing about your favorite childhood moments, so be sure to carve out plenty of time for a visit.

Order a whoopie pie from Moody's Diner for an afternoon snack. You might even want to stay for dinner. The national icon, in business since 1927, has served more than a million people. You can even head over to its gift shop to grab a few souvenirs to take back home!

Morse's Sauerkraut is another restaurant you'll want to check out. The "Kraut Haus" is known for its old-world cuisine, like spaetzle and schnitzel, and locals can't get enough. They even have a deli with the freshest in-house products.

On a sunny day, check out the Waldoboro Farmers Market in the historic village of Waldoboro. You'll be able to sightsee and shop - the best combination!

Day Trips from Waldoboro, ME

Located just a little more than 27 miles from Waldoboro lies Boothbay Harbor, a radiant seaside town nestled in the Boothbay region. If you're visiting during the summer, stop by the Maine State Aquarium to pet a shark, or spend your day on a whale watching excursion.

The charming town of Appleton is even closer, less than 17 miles away, and you're sure to get your dose of Maine history here. You can't miss the chance to grab some blueberries from Ridgeberry Farm for the freshest wild blueberries in the state.

This city is full of character, just like our Waldoboro vacation rentals. When Midcoast Maine summons you, be sure to check out this intriguing town.
