The Coal Shack is a beautiful, roomy studio with everything you need for a weekend (or longer) getaway. The place is spotless and the upgrades throughout were amazing. The location is right in town and walking distance to all the shops and restaurant in town. Looking forward to our next stay!

This is the second time staying at Vacasa’s lovely condominiums in Rockland, ME. They are very bright, clean and well appointed! We stayed several days both times, visiting family in the area. The full kitchen served us well for dining in and the parking is very convenient. The interior is very roomy and well decorated. The accommodations definitely help contribute to very enjoyable stays in Rockland! Thank you!

What is coastal Maine known for?

Coastal Maine is famous for its picturesque and rocky coastline, one of the United States' most unique and captivating shorelines. Maine's coast is also known for its friendly harbor towns, and affinity for seafood—including the state’s renowned lobster rolls and annual Lobster Festival held in Rockland. Of course, the fun doesn’t end there. Acadia National Park offers some of the most beautiful viewpoints of the coast, the area is peppered with fascinating museums, and Maine’s flourishing craft beer scene is definitely worth sampling.
