The room was clean and the view of the dock and ships was awesome. Located close to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. The only issue was we had no soap for bathing, TV service was out our entire 3 day stay. I called and they said someone would be right out but never showed up.

We returned to the Belfast Bay Inn for the 2nd time this month, 3 years after we spent our honeymoon there. We had an amazing time once again. The rooms are amazing, well appointed, spacious and quite comfortable. The new owners have done a great job. The location is also great for exploring Maine both to the North and the South.

Great location away from the bustle of Bar Harbor. Great view of Somes Sound/ Southwest Harbor. Thin walls, but we bring ear plugs everywhere we go so this wasnt a problem for us.

I have been going to Belfast for years and have enjoyed watching this sleepy little town grow into a bustling little city. This summer I had the added enjoyment of staying right in the heart of town, at the Suites at Belfast Bay Inn. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean, as well as tastefully decorated with lots of thoughtful details. The bed is incredibly comfortable with lots of soft linens and pillows.—such a treat. Don’t miss the charming courtyard, the perfect place to read a book or have a glass of wine and relax. I can’t wait to return.

Photos online make it seem the Inn is located in downtown Southwest Harbor. You do get good views of the Harbor, but you'll need to drive a bit to get into town. Also, the furnishings are outdated and the walls are incredibly thin! We could hear every word from our neighbors next door and had to sleep with our tv on low to drown out noise. It was also concerning to me that the doors that joined the room were only accessible from the rooms next door. I worried the entire stay that people staying in the other rooms could access our room while we were gone. Luckily we only used the room to sleep in since we spent the majority of our time exploring Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park but I would not stay here again.
Manager response:
We apologize if the thin walls were difficult for this guest to adjust to. The owners are aware the furnishings are outdated at this time. Thanks!

The room was terrible and not what is described on website. They refer to having a "kitchen" which is simply a mini frig and microwave. Refer to Harbor did not open. Wifi is terrible. TV is smaller than a laptop computer, rooms are cramped, water takes about 20 minutes to get warm, and overall pretty shabby. We booked 2 nights and left after the first night to a hotel in the town of Southwest Harbor.
The only positive experience was the mattress which appeared to be new.
