Ski-in/out condo w/ great amenities including year-round outdoor pool & hot tub

In the mood to be pampered? The Resort and Spa at Squaw Creek is a luxurious, year-round, destination resort at the base of Squaw Valley that offers skiing, snowboarding, restaurants, and shopping galore - all against a beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains backdrop. Recently named as one of Conde Naste Traveler's top 50 ski hotels in North America, Squaw Valley, where the resort sits, was also the site of the 1960 Winter Olympics. (Please note that upon check-in, the resort will collect a $25 per night resort fee directly from guests.)

You'll enjoy a true ski-in, ski-out location, on-site cross-country ski center, a year-round heated pool, hot tub complex and more! This room at the resort will comfortably sleep four guests, and features two pillowy queen beds. Nestle down into cloud-like bedding after a day on the slopes for an early night in. Stay up late watching the LCD flat screen TV and talking about the next day's fun - whichever you do, you'll fall in love with this space! Have more in your group? Rent this condo along with Resort at Squaw Creek 607.

There's a full bathroom, a writing desk for composing post cards or working on your travel journal, and large windows to let in lots of natural light. If you want to get up early to hit the slopes, the resort has you covered for breakfast (all meals, in fact). Hit the breakfast buffet at Six Peaks Grill or head out to a number of dining options right in the valley. At dinner time, just to get you started, there's the Mountain Pizzeria for gourmet pies or Sandy's Pub for pints and award-winning ribs, as well as many other eateries to discover.

For skiing, you couldn't ask for more! Squaw Valley is thought to be Lake Tahoe's best ski resort, and you'll be right at the heart of it all to enjoy over 450 inches of snow per year, 34 chair lifts, and slopes for all skill levels. The resort also has a private, triple chair lift which means you'll never have to stand in line to get up the mountain.

For cross country skiing fans, the resort features over 400 acres of groomed trails through the stunning Sierra Nevada range. Of course, there's also snowshoeing, or just hanging out back at the Pub with a hot toddy.

Summer brings its own fun to Squaw Creek. There's an 18-hole championship golf course, a fly fishing center, hiking and backpacking on the resort's nature trails, and horseback riding. A complete outdoor oasis awaits you with a large recreation pool, specialty plunge pool, a 120-foot water slide, a children's pool ,and three outdoor year-round whirlpools. There's also tennis courts and world-class whitewater rafting and kayaking nearby out on the Truckee River.

Come enjoy the best that the Squaw Valley area has to offer at this beautiful and luxurious resort getaway at Squaw Creek!

*Please note upon check in the resort will collect a $30 dollar per night resort fee.

I was attending a conference at the Resort at Squaw Creek and rooms were sold out. I booked a room at the resort through Vacasa and it was exactly like you were staying at the hotel except that housekeeping did not clean the room. You get full use of the resort, which has beautiful grounds and excellent restaurants. The lamp on the nightstand did not work - that is the only complaint I had.

Nice, family friendly, clean place and great unit! Happy with the property and amenities, great family weekend.

Only caution is that we were under the impression that all the "fees" are covered in the payment to Vacasa, then they hit you with a Homeaway $ 40,- fee after check out (Vaasa's parent company). It seems like a great nightly rate - but after all the fees- the average nightly rate went up $ 100.- (just hotel fees tax etc/ not valet, food, extras). Make sure you preview itemized total cost before hitting the book button. It may make more sense to book through hotel.
Manager response:
It’s excellent to hear your family enjoyed your time at the resort! We apologize for any confusion with the booking fees. Just to clarify, HomeAway is a separate company from Vacasa that we use to advertise and book our properties. They do charge a separate booking fee for using their website. If you would like to avoid the extra booking fee in the future, we invite you to book directly through our website. We appreciate you taking the time to give feedback about your stay, and we hope to host you again next time.

Great location...only regret is not having time to use the sauna/steam room or workout in the fitness center. Would definitely recommend this property!

My father and I booked a room for 3 nights and after our 1st night's rest we opened our door to find workers tearing apart the entire floor that we were staying. There was excessive noise all day (starting very early in the mornings), lots of dust and trash and piles of furniture blocking our paths. The thing that upset me the most was that often we couldn't even get to our room - the renovators put furniture up against our door barring exit or entry and we had to continuously move things. When I tried to calmly ask them not to do this, they either ignored me and walked away or they grunted, clearly incapable of decent human interaction. This was overall upsetting because I liked most of the property.

My father and I should have been treated better. We booked this place 6 months in advance, paid on time, kept our room tidy, paid our dues.
Manager response:
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We sincerely apologize that the resort's work interfered with your stay and that there was difficulty with the workers. We will follow-up with the resort regarding the matter in the hopes that we can avoid anything like this in the future. We are glad to see that you otherwise enjoyed the property. It's a great spot in the winter for winter sports enthusiasts!
