Squaw Creek is located at the base of Squaw Valley - the site of the 1960 Winter Olympics, so you may be thinking that this is an ideal spot for winter sports. You'd be right! Named as one of Conde Naste Traveler's top 50 ski hotels in North America, this is one destination resort to visit at least once in your lifetime! Truly a ski-in, ski-out experience, Squaw Creek has its own private triple chair lift, gets an average of 450 inches of snow per year, and has slopes for all skill levels. Downhill not your thing? Well, the resort also has a cross-country ski center with over 400 acres of groomed trails set against the breathtaking stunning Sierra Nevada mountains for both nordic skiing and snowshoeing. If you're visiting in summer, not to worry, you'll have no problem filling your days with numerous activities. Golfers will fall in love with the resort's 18-hole championship golf course. There's also a fly fishing center, nature trails for hiking and backpacking, and even guided horseback riding tours through the stunning vistas of Alpine Meadows. Don't feel like cooking? Your group can head out to one of Squaw Creek's five restaurants featuring everything from fine dining at Six Peaks Grill to espressos and pastries at Sweet Potatoes Deli or pub fare and microbrews at Sandy's Pub.
