Resort at Squaw Creek ski-in/out condo! Year-round outdoor pool, hot tubs, more!

With plenty of room to sleep eight guests with ultimate comfort, this Resort at Squaw Creek two bedroom fireplace suite is ready and waiting for your Lake Tahoe/Squaw Valley adventure! Made up of two condos at the resort, one room has the feel of a classic hotel room with two queen beds and a full bathroom, while the other space has a living area, basic kitchen, separate bedroom, and full bathroom. (Please note that upon check-in, the resort will collect a $30 per night, per unit resort fee directly from guests; as this is a two-unit suite, the fee will be $60 per night.)

Squaw Creek is located at the base of Squaw Valley - the site of the 1960 Winter Olympics, so you may be thinking that this is an ideal spot for winter sports. You'd be right! Named as one of Conde Naste Traveler's top 50 ski hotels in North America, this is one destination resort to visit at least once in your lifetime!

After a day of snowboarding, downhill or cross-country skiing, retire to your suite of rooms for hot cocoa in front of the fire, a home-cooked beef stew, or just a laid-back evening of cable TV watching on the flat screen TV. There's a gas fireplace in the living room for cozy ambiance, and lots of comfortable furniture for everyone to find their perfect spot, including a sleeper sofa.

In the bedroom, you'll find another flat screen TV, a cloud-like king sized bed, stylish bedding, and a luxurious vibe throughout the space. A large full bathroom is right nearby, and there is a large bedroom window to let in bright, natural light.

The kitchen has a stovetop, refrigerator, sink, microwave, toaster, and even a dishwasher - in fact you'll have all the appliances needed to whip up some Sunday morning pancakes, homemade chili for lunch, or even some pan-seared steaks for dinner! Don't feel like cooking? Your group can head out to one of Squaw Creek's five restaurants featuring everything from fine dining at Six Peaks Grill to espressos and pastries at Sweet Potatoes Deli to a pub fare and microbrews at Sandy's Pub.

Additionally, you'll have a separate suite for up to four people with two pillowy queen beds and a spacious full bathroom. A perfect set-up for families or couples traveling together, the two units provide privacy, yet lots of space to come together and socialize as a group. Both units enjoy WiFi and luxurious touches throughout.

Truly a ski-in, ski-out experience, Squaw Creek has its own private triple chair lift, gets an average of 450 inches of snow per year, and has slopes for all skill levels. Downhill not your thing? Well, the resort also has a cross-country ski center with over 400 acres of groomed trails set against the breathtaking stunning Sierra Nevada mountains for both nordic skiing and snowshoeing. Or maybe you'd like to rent a snowmobile and pass through some of Lake Tahoe's most beautiful scenery on well-groomed trails. During holiday getaways, there are even festive sleigh rides practically right outside your door!

If you're visiting in summer, not to worry, you'll have no problem filling your days with numerous activities. Golfers will fall in love with the resort's 18-hole championship golf course. There's also a fly fishing center, nature trails for hiking and backpacking, and even guided horseback riding tours through the stunning vistas of Alpine Meadows.

Of course, you'll want to bring your bathing suits no matter what time of year it is, as Squaw Creek has an amazing year-round outdoor pool and hot tub complex with a large recreation pool, specialty plunge pool, a 120-foot water slide, a children's pool, and three outdoor whirlpools. If you need to work off your vacation meals, there's also tennis courts, and even whitewater rafting or kayaking guided trips on the Truckee River.

At this prime location, you are also only about seven miles from Lake Tahoe for scenic cruises, beach combing, and even more dining options in Tahoe City, as well as casinos and entertainment right across the Nevada border. No matter the time of year, a stay at the Resort at Squaw Creek will provide your group of up to eight with cherished memories!

This is a very kid friendly hotel. I wouldn't suggest staying here unless you are traveling with children.

This rental was just as gorgeous as any other room in this resort and included all the amenities aside from daily housekeeping. The conveniences: valet parking, ski in-ski out, heated outdoor swimming pool and hot tubs, onsite restaurants, bars, and deli, ski concierge, rentals and lift tickets. My husband and I stayed here with both of my parents and my 2 kids aged 1 and 2.5 years old. There was plenty for everyone to do from skiing, snowshoeing, and sledding to dog sled rides, ice skating and swimming. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen stocked for easy to prepare kids meals, and the room was clean. There were "hotel" amenities including shampoo, conditioner, shower cap, etc. I just wish we could have stayed longer!

Nice resort with friendly staff!

we've stayed here twice with another family and loved it. Even with some glitches, the service was great and all issues were handled. We will be back.

The resort is beautiful and well appointed. The staff was attentive and happy. The room was great. The only disappointment was with the ability to cook (or inability). The kitchen was well appointed, however the stove did not heat adequately. We could not get water to boil and scrambling a few eggs took over 20 minutes. Do not plan to cook any substantive meal using the stove.
Manager response:
Thanks for your review and thank you for letting us know about the stove. We're going to have that fixed immediately. We appreciate you letting us know.

We had a wonderful stay at your condo, stayed 3 nights, Units 605 & 607 were clean, and beds were comfortable. This place is gorgeous and beautiful. It's a perfect place in the Winter for skiing, swimming, relax in the spa, ice skating, we even snowshoe to the Village, and the convenience of the shuttle bus to and from the Village. Our son and Grandkids had a great time. Yes, I would definitely recommend this place.
