Watch for whales at this oceanfront home with deck, yard, and lighthouse view

You won't find a more spectacular view than the one from this home in Newport! It's perched on a bluff overlooking the ocean and comes complete with a well-equipped kitchen, deck, and grassy back yard.

This three-bedroom home is located in the Agate Beach neighborhood at the north end of town, conveniently close to beaches, parks, restaurants, and local shops. You can get to the beach via paths in the neighborhood, and enjoy views of the lighthouse and the ocean right from the yard (though please be careful to supervise children as there is no fence).

Inviting and very family-friendly, this cozy seaside home features comfortable living spaces and a number of quaint, nautical touches along with plenty of desirable modern conveniences. Grab your binoculars and do a little whale watching from the comfort of your living room complete with armchair and matching sofa and loveseat.

Directly behind this space, there's a dining area with a table and seating for six where you can play one of the provided family games, plan out your vacation days, or enjoy delicious, home-cooked meals prepared in the adjacent kitchen.

The kitchen has loads of prep space (including a central island with two counter stools), plus drawers and cabinets packed with cookware and dinnerware and a host of essential appliances and countertop gadgets including a four-burner range, microwave oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, blender, coffee makers, and even a waffle iron.

There are three spacious bedrooms in this home. The master suite has a plush queen-size bed and en suite bath with shower, while the first guest room has an additional queen and a window offering a view of the yard and the ocean. The third bedroom is ideal for the kids and features a twin bed with twin trundle. With three bedrooms and two full baths, this home sleeps up to six guests very comfortably and is ideal for that next seaside family vacation.

WiFi is provided to let you get online with ease, and with two flatscreen, cable TVs plus a DVD/VCR combo and a media library, you can keep up with all your favorite shows or program your own movie nights, but don't forget the popcorn! This home does come with a private washer/dryer, so feel free to leave those bulky, overstuffed suitcases at home. Out back, dine at the picnic table on sunny days and have fun in your private, grassy yard. Note that there is no fencing along the edge of the bluff, so please use caution in this area and always be sure to supervise children.

Visible from the home, there's the historic Yaquina Head Lighthouse, the tallest lighthouse in Oregon, first lit in 1873 and now open for tours. Walk through the Yaquina Head Outstanding Natural Area and the adjacent marine garden for tidepooling and birdwatching. And if the weather isn't cooperating, catch a current blockbuster at the Newport Cinema, less than a half-mile from your front door right across Hwy 101.

Though you can get to the beach at Starfish Cove by walking down a path from your neighborhood, you could also drive two miles south and head out onto the sands of the Agate State Beach Recreation Site where you can walk along the beach or play in the water. Or continue south to downtown Newport for the world-famous Oregon Coast Aquarium and fun attractions like Ripley's Believe It Or Not, The Wax Works, and the Oregon Undersea Gardens, all just four miles away along Newport's historic bayfront.

For the perfect family vacation along the Oregon Coast, reserve this home with us today and start packing those bags!

The home was clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. It has a fantastic view of the Yaquina Head lighthouse and the ocean as well as access to the beach below. It was so relaxing and we would definitely stay there again.

My three grandsons (ages 8, 5, and 3) just LOVED the place! Nice yard to play ball in; wonderful winding "jungle trail" to the beach; some games and videos for indoor play. Quiet location at the end of the street; easy to drive to Nye Beach in town or across the bridge for crabbing at the pier. Easy to cook in the well-appointed kitchen; washer and dryer helpful; beds comfortable! We would recommend and hope to come back sometime soon!

This was a great house to stay in. The view off the bluff is on of the best views off the coast!

Traveled with my family and stayed in the house. Beautiful house and very clean. A few draw backs but all in all a great place to stay.

The view was so amazing, to watch the sun set from the porch or even in the living room, to wake up and see the ocean and Yaquina Head lighthouse, with direct beach access, there’s no word to explain besides amazing and that doesn’t really do it! The home was very clean and accommodating! Plenty of room and the master bed and bath was huge!

This is the second time I have stayed at this lovely cottage overlooking Yaquina Head and lighthouse. We stayed 3 nights each time and have so enjoyed our time relaxing and loving the view. We brought in enough provisions that we never left alas until we had to go home. The kitchen is so well outfitted we didn't need to worry about bring anything but food with us.

The house was nice and clean. with books, dvd’s, games, and toys for kids. There was a beautiful view of the ocean and lighthouse. I would like to suggest to anyone staying here to bring flashlights to get to and from their cars at night, as it is very dark.

The Beach House was exceptional. It was very clean, comfortable, all the amenities you need, gorgeous view. It is a quiet neighbourhood, and a short drive into Newport. Just perfect! Would definitely stay again...our favorite location.

The house was perfect for our annual sister trip. It was much more room than the 2 of us needed but we couldn’t pass up the view! Well-appointed house has everything you could need and more. Rooms are large and the house is very clean. Watching the sunset over the ocean was gorgeous! Watched whales at Depoe Bay and loved the shopping in one of the best seaside towns, Cannon Beach.

I was so impressed with the well appointed kitchen (sharp knives and high quality appliances). The house was very clean and had plenty of supplies. The view and location is one of the best we’ve experienced on our many visits to Newport. Completely recovery.

This is a great place with georgious views, good furniture and great beds.

We saw over 100 grey whales over a 2 hour period right from the bench on the edge of the lawn/cliff.

We recently stayed 3 days/nights at the Beach house at Yaquina Head and found the rental was perfect for our needs. Our friends from Denver were with us and they wanted their "Ocean Fix". The house sits up on the bluff with a great view both day and night of the ocean, fishing boats and the lighthouse. Comforting to see it flashing at night. The beds were very comfy and plenty of blankets for chilly nights; the kitchen well stocked with items that you might need. We found the trail up and down to the beach a bit challenging and certainly would not recommend trying it with young children or those with balance issues. But there are plenty of areas close by that you can get down to the sand without that challenging climb.

Very cozy home with incredible sunset views of the Yaquina Head Lighthouse. Beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. Very quiet. Saw whales, birds and chipmunks. Loved it and will stay again!

The living room and dining area was nice and spacious.

I have been on many vacations and seen many beautiful places. This is my favorite, so far! The view from the house is breathtaking! The house has everything you need to cook meals, do laundry (if needed) or just sit back a relax!!
The beach was perfect. We enjoyed 4-5 mile walks every morning. We saw everything you could ever want to see on our walks, from starfish to whales...AMAZING!! Waking up to the view of the lighthouse and going to bed while it's watchful light beamed over the bay, was my favorite part though! Worth every penny! i just wished I we could have stayed longer!
