I loved the house. The location was wonderful. I could walk to the beach and all over town.

Cute small apartment a block away from the beach.

We loved everything about the Crows Nest! Location was perfect and the home is adorable! We will be back😊

Great location steps from the beach and shops. We had a view of the ocean from our living room window. Snug second floor apartment was comfortable and had all the basics. We loved our time here.

Such cute and comfy place! Great location, nice pier and coastal view from LR window. Might not be everyone's taste, as stairway is narrow, no curtains on Bathroom window, light comes thru master BR. Noise from USPS trucks next door and delivery trucks from restaurants. No ice cube trays, ended up paying $4.00 for small bag of ice at liquor store. Lock box was hard to operate, and email instructions sketchy. But the positive outweighed all..
Manager response:
We appreciate the guests feedback. Curtains have been added in the bathroom for guests satisfaction. We are discussing purchasing ice trays with the owner, but ice can be found in the nearby store. We are glad you got to discuss these future improvements with our Local Manager.

Great location. Great to have 2 bedrooms and a kitchen.
Noisy from neighbors below. Bring earplugs.
Master bedroom gets very bright very early. Bring eye shield.
Bring extra toilet paper and kleenex. (just in case.)

Staying at the Crow's Nest is stepping back in time, as you find yourself walking up the skinny wooden stairs from your private entry room with bench and big hooks to place your belongings on. The view from the Living Room window seals the deal on our stay in Cayucos, a beautiful view of the Pacific and Cayucos pier. Furnishings are old and ok for a short visit, a certain charm from the art work on the walls, and small cut out rooms, that make you wonder what this house was like before it got turned into a three unit complex. You can not go wrong here though, you have the small town with a handful of decent restaurants, the beach and pier is a stones throw away, and so many things on the map that are not too far away.

The location is great, right in town. The queen size bed and bedding could use an update. The couch and chair are not comfortable. The kitchen is small and not great for cooking meals but works for breakfast and warming up leftovers. View of the ocean but no place to sit to enjoy it. Can hear downstairs neighbors very easily.

If you are looking for a different experience, do book this place. Each room is so cute--it's like going back in time. The setting is very relaxing as the retreat is upstairs. (You have to be OK with rather steep stairs). The beds are cozy and there is a nice kitchen so you can eat in if you desire. Best of all is the location--just steps from the ocean, pier, and restaurants.

Perfect location- walking distance to beach and downtown. The house has so much potential. It's very old but very charming and quirky. It just needs some love with a decent upgrade in the bathroom and furniture department...especially the mattresses. Also, more attention to a good deep cleaning. I would come back in a heart beat if these things were attended to.
Manager response:
New vinyl for the bathroom and kitchen will be installed mid-November along with a new refrigerator. A deep clean is scheduled for the beginning of November, and a new topper for the bed has been purchased. The owner is looking for a few new items to update the living room. This 100+ year old home is definitely unique, and we hope our guests will check back soon to see the improvements.
