My husband, mom, small dog and myself stayed at this beach house over Spring Break. My husband is a teacher and this is the only time we can take vacation in the spring. Pros: Rock the Boat is an affordable beach house that accepts pets, has a terrific view with an easy walk to the beach. Cons: This is mainly a con of Port A for families over Spring Break this year. I had hoped we would be far enough from the Spring Break craziness. However, each day around 3-4pm, Spring Breakers got out of control with their large loud trucks and golf carts driving recklessly down the beach, drinking, and music BLARING. I'm not a Karen and want everyone to have a good time and we're not ones to complain or report behavior to authorities, we usually just leave the situation. It was dangerous to walk or be on the beach because of the fear of being run over by a drunk underage driver. Since we were mainly there for relaxation on the beach, this dampened our trip. I realize we could have driven to another beach, but the point was to enjoy our beach house and the beach/ocean a few steps away. I imagine it is MUCH quieter at a different time. This is no fault of property management, owners, nor authorities. The local police, Corpus Christie Police, and even the Texas National Guard were trying to get a handle on it by the time we left on Friday. Other Cons: This unit is in desperate need of a little TLC. It's in desperate need of painting on the inside and just multiple small "repairs", like a loose tile that we kept tripping over. After check out, I let management know that we found the front door lock very hard to get to work (we've stayed at numerous properties and rarely have this issue after a few tries), the main level balcony door very hard to lock and the lack cleanliness of the main level bedroom and kitchen counters. You also wouldn't want to sit/lay on the patio loungers without a towel over the cushions. This wasn't bad enough to move to another unit or deal with the inconvenience of them recleaning, but that's why I gave 3 stars for cleanliness. This unit and I believe most of Lost Colony is advertised as pet friendly, which is one of the main reasons we booked here and we saw many dogs. However, the grassy areas are filled with stickers. Even the "dog area" at the front is filled with them, so beware and check their paws. Bottom line, it is what it is...a worn affordable beach house. But if you can overlook the con's or if they're addressed, you'll have beautiful views from the balconies and easy walk to the beach.

We loved the location and the views. The covered patio was awesome! We had a few things that popped up, but Vacasa took care of them quickly. We would stay here again.

This home in Palmilla is truly exquisite. The nicest home in the resort. Every room is amazing. The decor is warm and elegantly done. I won't stay anywhere else in Port Aransas after renting this home. We will definitely be back this year. G
