Sunny Cabin with Private Hot Tub, SHARC Access & Entertainment - Dogs Welcome

This contemporary four-bedroom Sunriver vacation rental is the perfect mix of family-friendly and classic style, with a private hot tub and access to SHARC.

Just 15 miles south of Bend, Sunriver has something for everyone! In winter, you're only a short 20 minute drive from Mt. Bachelor or you can just hop on the shuttle at the Sunriver Lodge (for a nominal fee) and not have to worry about driving in the snow or parking.

Inside, a large living area is outfitted with comfortable leather couches, slanted wood-beamed ceilings, a beautiful wood-burning stove, and a great entertainment center. Sit back and watch a DVD on the flat screen cable TV, turn on some Netflix streaming, or get on the WiFi. There are board games for an after-dinner tournament around the coffee table and plenty of space for everyone to find a spot for some quiet reading.

The outdoor deck has seating for all, so if it's a nice evening, you may even want to bring a mug of hot cocoa or a glass of after-dinner port outside. On summer evenings, fire up the gas grill for a burger feast or follow the pathway around to the private hot tub for a late evening soak. On clear nights, you can even do a little stargazing.

Back inside, you'll find the gourmet-inspired kitchen is a dream for meal preparation. With slate tile floors, the stainless steel appliances, and granite countertops, the chef in your group will have fun whipping up breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. And don't forget a bowl of popcorn to go with movie night! There's even a dishwasher to make clean-up a snap. Meals can be eaten in the sunny dining room or out on the deck.

The upstairs loft has a second TV, as well as one of the futons - perfect for some afternoon reading or as a quiet space to check your email.

This lovely Sunriver getaway has four bedrooms, one with a king bed and the other three each with a queen. All have comfortable bedding, large windows looking out at the trees, and accessories like bedside tables and reading lamps. In addition, there are two futons for extra sleeping spots and two and a half bathrooms. This home will comfortably accommodate up to eight guests, and if you need to do a load of laundry, you'll find a washer and dryer in the laundry room.

After dinner, you can head out to the garage for a game of pool or some foosball. There are also two adult bikes for exploring the 35 miles of paved bike paths. And if you need kids' bikes, just stop by the Bike Barn and rent whatever you need (including helmets, locks, and even a bike map).

Great for families and adventure-seekers alike, you'll be able to enjoy golf (there are four courses), biking, hiking, and more all against the backdrop of the majestic Cascade Mountain Range. The Sunriver Homeowners Aquatic and Recreation Center (SHARC) is home to outdoor and indoor pools, hot tubs, a lazy river, and water slides - and when you stay at this vacation home, you'll have passes to enjoy all of it. There are also sleigh rides right at Sunriver, as well as tubing, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing.

Summer or winter, make the most of your family getaway with this Central Oregon vacation home!

Two dogs welcome for a nightly fee.

Please be aware that the Sunriver SHARC center has implemented new rules and regulations regarding occupancy, amenities, and access. Please see their website for more details.

We had the best time at this cabin for a family getaway with our 13 year old, 9 month old & golden retriever. The cabin is conveniently located close to the river, SHARC and the Village. It was cozy and checked all our boxes! Extremely peaceful and quiet, fireplace, hot tub, clean, and plenty of room for even more friends/family if we needed it! A special thanks to the local Vacasa office for finding our son’s backpack we accidentally left behind. They mailed it to us right away (we live 3 hours away) and it meant so much as it had his teddy bear and other special things in it. Thank you to the hosts and Vacasa for a wonderful experience.

This house was spacious, clean, and had tons to do when staying in. Even better than expected.

The house can definately use an upgrade, very rustic, the floors were creaky, we enjoyed our stay, enjoyed the outside deck
Manager response:
Thank you for your review, George! We're pleased to read you enjoyed the prime location of our home, though we sincerely apologize for the maintenance concerns encountered during your stay. It is never our intention to disappoint our guests, and our local management has been notified so they may make any necessary adjustments. We appreciate your feedback so we may continually improve, and we hope for the chance to thoroughly impress you in the future.

My family had a wonderful stay. Cooked great meals, played games, etc at the house. Enjoyed boating on the river, hiking, golf, horseback riding and the water park was my grandkids’ favorite activity!

First, we really enjoyed our stay here. For anyone considering 8 Cedar Lane, here are a few pros/cons.

-Location. It's an easy walk to Fort Rock Park. If you cut through the back it's a short walk to SHARC. On top of that, the back deck opens to one of the largest open spaces in Sunriver. You really feel like you're in the country.
-Light. This house has huge South-facing windows opening to the greenspace behind the back deck. It gets incredible light in the living room.
-Space. There are 4 bedrooms plus a big living room and an upstairs space. There's a lot of room for people to be on their own if needed or to gather as a group. There's a huge dining table too. 12 people could eat comfortable between the two dining spaces. They've also put a few couches and a pool table in the garage. It's a nice hangout spot, even in winter. There's an incredible heater in the garage that needs just a few minutes to make it comfortable even when the outside temperature is in the teens or worse.
Heat. The furnace in this place is a beast. The rooms heat unevenly but there are baseboards in those that don't have furnace vents. There is also an amazing fireplace and ample supply of firewood. The ambience in the living room with a fire in front of you and the huge South-facing windows behind is amazing.

-Light. Other than the bright living room, this house is a bit dark. The lights are dated and the cedar plank walls absorb a lot of light. The master bedroom downstairs is especially dark.
-Space. The bathrooms are quite small. There are 2.5 of them so that helps. Two people getting ready together in the master bathroom will be cramped though.
-Kitchen. We made do, but the kitchen is due for an overhaul. The microwave is underpowered and probably needs to be replaced. For a house this size, the fridge is undersized.
-Beds. Again, we made do, but all of the beds are cheap bouncy mattresses. There are abundant pillows and extra blankets. There are also two futons - one in the living room downstairs and another in the open upstairs space. One person in our group ended up sleeping on a futon because the mattresses were all so uncomfortable.

Overall this is a great spot to enjoy Sunriver, especially if you have small children and value a location near the park and big backyard. If you're looking for higher end beds, kitchen, etc, there are better options, but you're also going to pay for them. If simple and functional is your schtick, 8 Cedar Lane is a great choice.
Manager response:
Stephen, thank you for your review. We are glad you and your party enjoyed the cabin. We take guest feedback seriously and will be sure to follow up with the appropriate parties regarding your evaluation. We look forward to hosting you in the future for another great stay!

Loved the location and house layout. House showing its age and dryer not working.
Manager response:
Hi, Richard! Appliance repair is scheduled to take care of the dryer. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope you will consider staying again.

We enjoyed how it was a quick drive to the village, and was a cozy house.
Brenton G. Feb 2020
House was very spacious and inviting. Heated garage was excellent for drying out snow gear. Fire place and hottub were perfect! Furnished kitchen was a great plus too. Will definitely try for this place again if still available next winter.
James D. Jan 2019
Fire place and hot tub and pool table

Loved all the wood. The views. Plenty of seating. Wood burning fireplace. Jacuzzi was a winner. Warm garage. Plenty of 💺s. Nice loft with windows everywhere. Clean.
Tyler L. Dec 2018
This place had everything you could want to a snowy weekend in Sunriver and more. From the crackle of the wood burning fireplace to the fully kitted out kitchen this place was made to make memories.
Peter S. Sep 2018
Place was fine. Not brand new and perfect but clean, organized and everything worked. Very happy with my stay.
Sean A. Aug 2018
Set up was perfect. Loved the pool table and hot tub!

Perfect for our group!!
Catie P. Feb 2018
Great house, have rented it a bunch and love it.
Marion K. Oct 2017
The house absolutely was terrible for lighting, we had to bring lamps in and out of bedrooms to be able to see in the living room or bedrooms. It felt like I was in a cave! This home felt like they were just keeping it to the standards and not bothering to keep the customers happy. I regret staying at this location.
Rick C. Oct 2017
Great size for location and is very close to anything you want to do in bend.
Kendra E. Jul 2017
Great location--close to sharc, park and village. Perfect size for two families.
Allison K. May 2017
This is a cute little house, great location and close to Village, Fort Rock Park and SHARC. It needs some TLC, a new hot tub and some updates but the wood gives it great character and the location is fantastic. The windows are great and it is nice not to have a home directly behind you.
Betsy V. Apr 2017
Clean, comfortable house close to Fort Rock Park & included Sharc passes. Hot tub & pool table are fun. Great for 2 families. Netflix is only with downstairs TV & not in loft area but loft area has DVD player. Backs to wooded area & some rocks within walking distance/vision from house where kids can limb & build a fort.
Nicole S. Feb 2017
Wonderful time and all over great experience. We weren't ready to go home yet !
Jennifer S. Dec 2016
We had a wonderful stay over Christmas. The kichen was very well stocked for cooking a full holiday meal. The snow was beautiful and sitting in the hot tub looking at the stars at night was so nice.
Timothy S. Dec 2016
We had stayed here as a group of about seven people and this property had served as the ideal winter getaway. It has a nice cozy feel when there is two feet of snow around you. The natural fireplace is an excellent addition and the hot tub was wonderful to use in the frigid temperatures. All of the amenities were wonderful and honestly, this property is a steal for the price we paid. Will return next year for sure!
Sergio C. Jun 2016
I had so much fun. I plan to return to the area.
Joseph R L. May 2016
Good experience
John F. Apr 2016
The description says there are 4 bikes but there is only 2, this is a great place if you plan on having a party the hole stay but I would not recommend for family with kids. I definitely will not be renting this property again!
Stewart A. Feb 2016
I've stayed in several properties and this is the best by far. Great rooms and fireplace. Kitchen and large dining table are fantastic. Hot tub and pool table were icing on the cake
Jodi S. Feb 2016
Such a lovely home in a great location. House had everything we needed for a group of 8. We all enjoyed our stay and playing at Sharc. Would definitely love to stay here again.
Claudia P. Jun 2015
Overall, this is a great place to stay! Great location; close to the SHARC, but private and quiet. We had a total of 4 adults, 2 teenagers and 2 small children and there was room for everyone. We did have some problems with some of the plug-ins not working in the bathrooms, but I'm sure that will be addressed now that it has been brought to the attention of Vacasa. Overall, it was a fun trip!
Madeleine E. May 2015
8 cedar lane is charming, clean and spacious. The hot tub is fantastic on a starry night. Kitchen is well stocked. Comfy beds and a great outdoor space. Just note that it's quite a long walk to the village. We will be back!
Sarah P. Apr 2015
We stayed at 8 Cedar Lane in April 2015. The house was wonderful; roomy, comfortable and clean. The layout of the kitchen was open and eay to cook in. Our kids loved the hot tub, pool table and foosball table (FYI - garage has a heater for use in the winter -- very nice!). The availability of bikes was nice too. However, if you have little kids, bring your own bikes. The bikes that come with the house are not small enough for young kids (my 13 year old was okay to ride the ladies bike). SHARC pool and rec center was a close bike ride, the outdoor pool facility looks like fun (not open during our visit). I would highly suggest renting this home, we will definately stay here again in the future.
Grace B. Jan 2015
I loved staying at this house. It was perfect location and the house had all the amenities we wanted. Overall enjoyed my experience.
Diana L. Dec 2014
Overall great for our party of 8. Two bedrooms are on the ground floor which worked out well for the grandfather of our family given mobility issues. Two bedrooms upstairs as well. Water pressure in showers was exceptional! If you are planning on doing major cooking, bring your own pots/pans and certainly your own knives. Basic utensils provided. Located within walking distance to/from Fort Rock Park. Bikes were in good condition and a comfortable ride. Cozy feel of house and the wood-burning stove was a major hit.
Manager response:
Thank you for this great review, and sharing these special memories with us. I am so glad that you enjoyed the wonderful water pressure, the bikes, and closeness to the park. We can't wait for you to visit Vacasa again soon.
Richard K. Sep 2014
While #8 Cedar has some issues, none of them were deal-breakers for us. The house is roomy and comfortable and can sleep 8 people with no problem. The huge deck is wonderful for relaxing and reading and the hot tub is great for soaking on a crisp evening (even though the jets weren't working on our visit). The loft allowed our sports-loving contingent to watch TV while the rest of us enjoyed music or quiet down below. The beds were all very comfortable and the linens and towels were nice quality. If you are planning to do any serious cooking, I suggest bringing sharp knives.
Roger B. Jul 2014
We housed 9 older husbands and wives and me confortablely. Location was good for our tennis playing tournament.
