1) WiFi - This house lists wifi as an ammenity, but please note the speed is very slow. The first day we arrived we could not load the Google home page. Speed improved by the third day and we were able to stream Netflix after allowing time for buffering. Wi-Fi is not reliable or up to today's standards.
2) Guests are asked to bring their trash to the dump (approx. 40 min round trip drive). This is inconvenient.

Pros: The home is very nice, quaint and has a well stocked kitchen, gorgeous view of the lake, and amazing fire pit. The entrance to the water is very nice and slopes down gradually with a rock bottom. The dock is an excellent ammenity.

Overall very relaxing vacation with nice views, but the slow WiFi speed was a major dissapointment upon arrival as we felt mislead.
Manager response:
Hi, Jennifer! We appreciate your feedback and are sorry to read about your inconveniences. Being in such a remote spot does limit our internet options, and we hope it was not too much of a bother for you. There were some challenges with the town's trash regulations, but we now have trash pick-up for this home. Thank you!

My husband and I were looking for a place where we could relax and recharge with each other and our dog. The cabin is cozy and the view is perfection. The widows in the living/dining areas face the water. We didn't want to go far, so the full kitchen, well-stocked with all sorts of cookware and bakewear, was just wonderful! The area is quiet and, despite pretty close neighbors, pretty private. We spent hours walking along the various roads and trails in the area, just enjoying nature. The bathroom is tiny, but functional and we never ran out of hot water. There are two bedrooms; be aware that there are curtains rather than doors separating the rooms, so privacy is minimal. It wasn't an issue for us, but may be a consideration for others. Overall, it was clean and cozy and allowed us to spend a few days recharging in peace. We'll definitely be back!

The serenity of the lake, the beauty of nature, the coziness of the house and the thoughtfulness of the owners all made our trip so wonderful. We are very thankful that this house is pet-friendly bc we never go anywhere without our two senior chihuahuas now, and we also made friends with the ducks that live nearby. Groups of them came to visit every day we were there. We love the grill, the picnic table, and the fire pit, and we were so impressed how well stocked the kitchen was! This place is a little piece of heaven on earth and we plan to make it our annual vacation destination in the future.

We loved every minute of our stay. It was surprising to see that a lot of minor details were taken care off (coffee filters, board games, basic kitchen necessities) coupled with the fantastic view and cool water. We will definitely be back. The night sky is unbelievable.

This cabin was perfect! A true slice of paradise, right on Moosehead Lake. Everything you could possibly need included. Picnic table, dock, barbeque all available for use for outdoor enjoyment. Beds and bedding very comfortable.
