Quiet nicely furnished, clean 2 bedroom 2 bath cabin in beautiful Laurel Valley area. Close to Smoky Mountain entrance and great nearby restaurants
Overall, the cabin was very comfortable and had good amenities. The location gave us access to many different areas within an hour or less drive.
This cabin was spacious, clean, and pleasant. We had a wonderful time!
Location, Location, Location!! Comfortable! Only con would be trailering bikes, but wouldn’t stop us from going back.
Great cabin. Private but yet close to everything. We had a great time. The pool table was a fun addition. We have been to Townsend many times and this was one of our favorite places we have stayed!
We loved everything about our stay! It was away from all the traffic but yet not far from getting to fun activities with the family. We enjoyed our stay and will be back.
Such a welcoming, clean, comfortable cabin that felt ‘away from it all,’ but also comforting knowing it was in a neighborhood with homes nearby but with plenty of space. Sad not to see any bears, but we saw some wild turkeys. Enjoyed our stay, plenty of cooking utensils, and convenient to several local sites (10-minute drive).
We have stayed at Cabin Fever Several times. We enjoy how close it is to the town of Townsend, but still gives us the feeling of being up in the mountains.
We loved the open interior space! This a peaceful area! Things to do within 10mins of the home.
We loved everything about this cabin! Beds were nice and comfortable, everything was very clean. Kitchen was stocked with all the things needed to cook your own meals.
It's one of my favorite places to hide away in
I will definitely be coming back I love this cabin so cozy , very amazing !
Quiet place outside of the busy area and not crowded.
Clean comfy retreat! Quiet and restful! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
A charming get away where Hallmark movies really do happen.
We really enjoyed cabin fever, we were even greeted by a wild turkey when we drove into the driveway! Only issue was the coffee pot was not usable but that was quickly resolved when we had a new coffee pot delivered to us. I would recommend staying here and would stay here again!
The cabin was amazing inside, really pretty! However the ice/water machine in the fridge didn't work...not too inconvenient but would have been helpful. Also, if you plan on cooking bring your own kitchen gear. They have pots and pans but the cooking utensils left much to be desired. The place was reasonably clean but there were grass clippings in spots and the rug hadn't looked vacuumed. All small things really, the place was gorgeous!
This cabin was fantastic for our family of 4. Our teenage boys stayed up top in loft and loved it. We enjoyed playing pool every night and watching a movie. Great scenery!
It was just as the pictures showed! The ice machine in the fridge didn’t work and we need directions to the pool we couldn’t find it!
Thank you for staying with us, Saundra! We are so glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay. We have scheduled maintenance for the ice maker, and have also shared your suggestion to include more detailed directions to the pool with the local manager. We hope to have the opportunity to host you again in the future!
Truly enjoyed staying in Cabin Fever. Perfect location if you want to be out of the crowds of Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge. Loved being close to Cades Cove. Had a couple of small hiccups that were promptly handled by the Vacasa folks. Would definitely stay here again!
This cabin was the perfect size for a family of three and out of town like we wanted. The kitchen was perfect when we found out the restaurants weren’t opening until 7 or 8 and we wanted an earlier start. We will most definitely look into staying at Cabin Fever again.
The cabin was awesome.
The coffee maker needs to be replaced.
Had a great time and we will return.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us, Tracey. We are glad you enjoyed this cabin and we appreciate you letting us know there is room for improvement. We will pass your suggestion to the owner for consideration, and we hope to have another chance to impress you in the future!
The Cabin was nearly perfect. Only real issue we had was, as I was getting ready to fill up the jacuzzi our 1st night I noticed the whole tub was full of soap scum. Luckily there was a sponge w/ an abrasive side and dish soap in the kitchen and I was able to scrub the jacuzzi clean before using it. The stand up shower had soap scum as well. Purchased some tub cleaner the next day and cleaned the shower as well. Aside from that the fire place didn't work. It was a chilly weekend and would of been nice to utilize the fire place.
It was an amazing stay to just get away from everything. Only problem I had was wiahing the hot water didn't run out so fast.
Our family has stayed in over 20 different cabins, in and around Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. This cabin is in a great location, very private, very beautiful. It is not right on top of other cabins, like many others we have stayed. The little town nearby has an IGA supermarket, there's a pizza hut, subway, italian place, and some local restaurants we did not get to try. The view was beautiful was spectacular, very quiet, great gas grill. I gave this property a 4/5 because.... 1. the carpet needs replaced upstairs and in the master, it is stained and horrible....hard surface would be great. 2. The coffee pot sucks... 45 minutes to brew 2 cups.... upgrade and get yourself a Keurig. Every cabin we've stayed in has upgraded. 3. The cable sucks as well. If you are not going to offer better cable, at least get a SMART TV so your renters can sign into their own apps, Netflix, Amazon, etc.... It would have been nice to have watched something that wasn't a western from 1961. Honestly, if these items were changed, it would make such a difference. It would place your cabin on another level from all others, it is that spectacular. Peace, quiet, beautiful views, beautifully decorated, great kitchen, great grill, great pool table, great little local town.
We appreciate your review, Crystal, and apologize for the disappointments you encountered during an otherwise enjoyable stay. The carpets will be professionally cleaned, the coffee maker is getting replaced, and we will be upgrading the TV in the living room. Thank you!
We thought this place was great and clean. We enjoyed our short stay and it was equipped with everything we needed. Even laundry detergent and dish soap was provided. Nice little touches throughout the cabin. Internet access was solid but cable TV choices are very limited. That is the biggest down side if you want to catch college football games on ESPN there is No ESPN, No FOX News, No Hallmark channel which put my wife in a catatonic state in the evenings! The owner should seriously consider spending a little more and add these stations. Pool table was great fun.
Thank heaven we have a large truck with 4 wheel drive. It was needed with the snow and ice. The roads getting to and from the cabin can be dicey in snow conditions. Some blind hills made it exciting and scary at times. We imagine that this cabin would be awesome as well in summer months. Townsend (Very small town) is off the grid and very little to offer for restaurant choices but the local IGA came in handy handy. The drive in was awesome with great views. Local country shops along the way were fantastic.
The view from this cabin is nice and just being in the trees gives a more mountain home feel. The cabin is not kept up as it should be for the price you pay on this rental. The bed in the master has a headboard and footboard that are being held on by a thread. I worried the bed was going to collapse if I moved very much. The entire cabin needed to be dusted including the main AC vent. We never did get the fireplace to light for us to enjoy. The carpet upstairs and downstairs had stains on it that were very visible. If you plan on playing pool be careful of the left pockets as the table is not level at all. For the family that is planning to cook make sure you bring utensils to cook with as the selection is very limited as are the pans to use. We visited a week before Christmas and NOT 1 decoration was up in this house. It felt very hotel-ish just a bit bigger. We were out of the cabin a lot so this was just a warm place to sleep. Next trip to Townsend we will find someplace else to stay for sure.
Hi, Amanda! Our property manager is aware of your concerns and will be getting a deep clean scheduled and have maintenance check the home for any items in need of care. Thank you!
The cabin was comfortable. There were some cleaning issues along with some minor maintenance issues. Would probably not use vacasa again.
Linda, thank you for staying with us and thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We strive for a standard of excellence in ensuring the home is clean and accommodating for our guests. If there are any concerns or areas in need of additional attention, we hope to be notified so we can make sure any issues are addressed. We look forward to hosting you for a great stay in the future!
We really enjoyed our stay. We had a couple little hiccups but I’m sure the owners will address these and it will be absolutely amazing!! Would definitely consider staying here again!
Our stay was in Townsend Tn. in a cabin , Cabin Fever, Sept. 20-23.2020, The cabin is very charming and in a beautiful location, however we were not pleased with a few things during our stay, first we arrived on a Sunday and not one of the 3 Tv's worked , so we called they said they will get the guy to call me he call me said looks like the provider will have to fix it said he call them and put a work order in Mon night they call me said they done a up grade so we finally got it working, and the cabin it self was very charming but showing some neglect the carpet was very soled and dirty the hard wood flooring had not been mopped, there was no gas in the gas grill, which we discovered with disappointment after we were preparing to grill on it, call again never did come with it ,the dust on surfaces was very noticeable and had not been cleaned in a very longtime, the dust was very bad all through the cabin , the head boards on the beds were not dusted nor were the lamps or any tables, the kitchen faucet was so loose we were afraid it would fall off. The hold cabin need to be vacuumed, We will not be using VACASA or VERBO ever again to book our stay anywhere
Hi Billy, thank you for your feedback. We apologize that some parts of the home didn't meet your standard of cleanliness and that some amenities were amiss. We are glad our team was able to correct the situation with the TV. We will pass the other areas of concern to our management team for consideration. We hope to have another chance to impress you in the future!
Love the indoor hot tub and pool table
Loved this cabin! Very spacious and
Clean! Quiet and relaxing location. Really enjoyed the pool table. Lots of fun! Would definitely stay here again!
Nice home, very comfortable. Our 2nd stay in this place.
With Vacasa, on the other hand, I had up to a 2 hour wait on the phone just to get information after reserving the cabin. I had to “trick” the system to get moved up in the rotation to just over an hour wait on hold. I also did not get the info in a timely fashion. Then the resort that was attached to our cabin had no notice that we had use of the pool and workout room. The Laurel Valley Country Club was great though and helped us along.
We have stayed there 13 times over the last 13 years.
We loved this cabin...very clean, great furniture, and a quiet neighborhood! We also loved the location! We love getting up early and making Cades Cove our first stop each morning for hiking and spotting wildlife, so this was a great spot for a straight shot into Cades Cove each day!
Great location and away from crowds. Close to Cades Cove
We lived the total ability to social distance. Perfect for those traveling with elderly. Front door parking was exceptional helping!
Would love to stay in the future.
Great stay!! Pool table was fun!
This Cabin was amazing, great location, great all around comforts. I would only change/add two things. Fix the microwave and add some hooks in the bathroom to hang stuff on the back of the doors maybe. Remotes laid out for devices that weren’t connected (Amazon Fire). Very minor minor things. We lived this Cabin and will stay again. Great way to celebrate our 23rd Anniversary.
Thank you for your review, George! We are so glad you were able to enjoy your anniversary in our home. The microwave is scheduled to be replaced, and we will look into the idea of adding hooks for the door. We hope to see you again!
Overall location along with the seclusion of this Smokey Mountain cabin.
Lovely cabin, well maintained. A bit threatening to flat landers from Texas. Gorgeous and comfortable.
Quiet, clean and ok. Don’t expect a view. Outdated poor quality TV and one that didn’t work. No instructions on WiFi. Expected more for 1K for 3 nights for 2 people.
Hello Lorenzo, thank you for your review. We apologize for any confusion or inconvenience you may have experienced. While this woodsy cabin is located in a beautiful area, it is in a densely forested area which does limit the view. We encourage guests to view all photos and the virtual tour of this home as we never wish for a guest to be surprised upon arrival. All instructions for WiFi access are in the home guide in each guest's trip portal. Should a guest need additional assistance, our agents are available 24-hours. We hope to host you again in the future.
It was so quiet and peaceful. Great property to enjoy with the family.
Spacious rooms made this a comfortable and relaxing home after our daytime excursions. The home is in a resort community, the drive through the winding streets was beautiful, the neighbors aren't noticeable, the night stars are incredible. Townsend is a beautiful, quite community, and surprised us with too many eating places to try as well as an IGA grocery and other convenience stores. The National Park & Cades Cove, as well as Gatlinburg, make this a great destination. The Tuckaleechee Caverns are astounding! And we didn't even know about the horseback riding opportunities nearby.
Good kitchen, beautiful setting, comfortable furniture and beds, and lovely.
You can go to this cabin as a couple, or a family, or friends. The location is very quiet. The cabin inside is so beautiful. You will have the opportunity to set back and relax with no interruptions at all. very affordable. The owner is very cooperative. It is a two story cabin with privacy on each floor if you like. Close to the swimming pool and gulf club. We absolutely loved it.
This cabin was cute and clean. The kids loved the pool table. It was very accessible to Townsend and surrounding areas. I'm definitely keeping it on my list and will stay again if we're in the area!
Just got back from our vacation and Cabin Fever was wonderful. The cabin was beautiful, extremely clean. We had absolutely no issues.
Beautiful and very clean. The only issue I had was we rode our Harley and the gravel driveway was a little challenging. We would go back.
Nice and quiet area could hear the birds chirping in mornings on porch while drinking
We had such a beautiful cabin. The stay was wonderful
Everything was very clean cabin was beautiful. We enjoyed the pool table and Jacuzzi tub very much. I had teenagers with me and did not hear we are bored once! The ONLY downfall to this cabin is no HotTub. The driveway is a little steep but nothing a regular size car or truck cant handle. We zoomed right up it. We had heavy fog at night when we arrived so the drive was a little scary up to the cabin but just a normal mountain drive during the day light. Fully paved. This is a gated community which I was not aware of but we had not issues coming in or getting out of the gates. Guard is on duty from 6p-6a. Thank you so much for sharing your little piece of heaven with us!
Wonderful cabin to spend 3 days in. Very clean, well stocked with cooking/ eating utensils. Wonderful views and inviting decor. Definitely a great stay and will return soon! Thanks
Cabin Fever has a warm relaxing atmosphere. It is well lit and well equipped, with plenty of towels, toiletries, detergent for dishwasher and laundry., and kitchen ware for cooking and eating. The modest island is delightful. Good private space for two couples or a family with children. Be prepared for the steep
uphill gravel driveway, but don’t let it deter you. Three other cabins are visible through the trees when the leaves are off the trees. There are bears in the area - keep your eyes open for a special treat.
I wished the cabin itself was positioned to where you could see the mountains. The porch is facing the hill and the neighbors home. The yard is sloped so it was hard for my flat lander children to run and play. We were not at the cabin long enough got these things to be BIG issues. The cabin was lovely, very clean. We have a family of four, two XLarge adults and two younger kids, home had plenty of room and the pool table and just the room upstairs worked out good for them. Kitchen is well equipped (needs a can opener). Location is great, close to Townsend and Smokey Mountain Park. We ended up just exploring the parks within the Park. But I chose this location because it is close to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.....if you're into the city's. We aren't we wanted to enjoy the Mountains themselves. I was going to give Cabin Fever 4 stars because of it's positioning and king size bed is Super Soft, like it was make you sore soft. But still gave it 5 because that could be just someone picking.... The bed wouldn't keep me from staying here again. Vacasa was very easy to deal with, I didn't have to call about any issues, but the check in and check out part went smooth. Got an email with door code went in and that was it. We enjoyed our stay and vacation very much. I wished we could find jobs and move. This was the only vacay that I cried when we left to come home.
This was an awesome place to stay for our race weekend. The only complaint I have is that the driveway is loose gravel and very steep. My car could not make it up the driveway and burned up my clutch (I drive a manual Mini Cooper). So I had to park off the side of the driveway near the bottom of the drive and walk up. I would definitely stay here again, but wished the driveway was paved or blacktop.
The cabin was very spacious, clean, and lots of light and fan switches! Who ever built or designed this cabin must have been an engineer! Comfortable beds! Bonus a pool table! Had a few neighbors, but enough space and trees that you didn't feel you were on top of each other. But if you are wanting total privacy and remote area, this would not be it. Nice location, close to main road in Townsend.
Quiet, clean and in the Smokies. What more xan you ask for?
