Cute waterfront cabin w/ a deck, firepit, & fishing dock!

Enjoy the rustic beauty and front-row access to the waterfront with this updated cabin which is situated on the shoreline of the 523-acre, fully recreational Oxbow Lake. The property is shared by its twin, the Musky Cabin. These cabins can be rented separately or together as The Twins On Oxbow. Watching the fireflies on a warm summer evening from a common fire-pit area is a great way to end a perfect day. A generous dock with piers (boat launch is located directly across the lake from the property) is there for your use (boat rental is available in the area). A sandy bottom shoreline is perfect for wading or swimming. 4 kayaks, a rowboat, a canoe and a paddle boat are available to guests free of charge. If fishing is your sport, Oxbow features Musky, Walleye and Pike, as well as Bass and Panfish.

Year round, Presque Isle is a premier destination for the enjoyment of the great outdoors. It is called “Wisconsin’s Last Wilderness” for a reason. Relaxation and recreation await. Fishing, boating, canoeing, hiking, and biking are great summer activities, while snowmobiling, ice fishing and skiing are great ways to spend time here during the winter months. There are ski areas within 35 miles in Michigan. Minocqua, Boulder Junction and Manitowish Waters offer shops, restaurants and activities. The owners have supplied a folder with local activities, restaurants, stores and attractions. We hope you choose one or both of our cabins to enjoy your Presque Isle stay.

What’s nearby:
Located close by, you’ll find the Catherine Wolter Conservancy, the Win-Man Trails, the Ottawa National Forest, and the North Lakeland Discovery Center, all of which offer miles of mapped hiking/biking trails and self-guided nature walks to enhance your experience. The snowmobile trails are a short distance from the cabins off Highway B and extend for miles. There is plenty of space in the driveway for your vehicle and trailer.

This is a perfect lake for bringing small kids. Not too many speed boats, jet skis, nice and shallow off the shore and the home is perfectly comfortable and cosy for a short stay.

Cabin is nice but small. A little tight for 6ppl.
Parking is not adequate for truck and snowmobile trailer. No where to turn around, had to back out of the drive and down the road. Road access to trail is sketchy
Manager response:
We appreciate you telling us about your stay here and apologize for any difficulties you experienced with parking. Trailer parking is allowed, but it can be tight in the winter as there is no turnaround. Our new homeowner for this rental is actively working on a solution for this so it is more accessible for trailers this winter. Please note the maximum occupancy for this home is 5. Thank you!

We celebrated a warm and cozy Christmas here. Just what we wanted. Would also love to come back in the summer and take advantage of the lake and outdoor amenities. As previously reviewed, you do have a neighboring cabin (if occupied) but a sense of privacy in the space of your cabin.

Great little cabin with waterside amenities. I did not realize the fire pit was shared...and the neighboring cabin is right across the yard. So if you want complete seclusion, you may want to rethink this particular cabin.
