It’s a smallish little cabin for two and it exceeded my expectations! They could use a couch and a larger tv with better wifi for streaming. Other than that, it was perfect. Management was excellent too!

As you enter the cabin, the view of the lake is the first thing to strike you. Two comfortable Adirondack chairs invite you to sit out on the porch, watch the sunset, and listen to the lap of waves just feet away. Inside it is cozy and warm. The kitchen is well stocked with basic cooking pots, pans, and utensils. The appliances are all clean and in good working order. There is a collection of local literature to help you plan your activities. Another cabin sits close by but is largely screened from view by the trees. It was a very quiet and private retreat, perfect for two people!

Very relaxing to sit on the covered deck and watch the birds/wildlife go by. You can fish from the dock also. There are 2 kayaks included with the cabin rental and a charcoal grill is also on the premises. It's an open type similar to one you see at a park. This property had more than described on the website. Great place!

We LOVED everything about the Fisherman's Cabin! A beautiful, private setting with updated, modern conveniences. A true nature retreat.
Jason W. Sep 2022
Super clean. Easy entry and management. Great view and fairly secluded even with cabins on either side.

Our first visit to Moosehead Lake, and we loved our cabin! We fished, hiked, kayaked, and sat by the fire at night. It was hard to leave!

We loved our stay at Fisherman's Cabin. The cabin was fully stocked for all of our needs and was spotlessly clean.
We enjoyed sitting on our front porch and watching the loons. It was so peaceful.
The provided kayaks were great. What a beautiful view and location.

We had a great time at this cabin just steps from Moosehead Lake. The view from the cabin is surreal. The covered front porch provided a great spot to enjoy the views in the morning and late afternoon/evening. The cabin had everything we needed. Internet and cell service were spotty, but we were able to stay in touch with family. Make sure to get detailed directions; gps will not get you there. Vacasa provided excellent directions which got us there no problem. It is miles down dirt roads. We kayaked on the lake, as well as going for several hikes in the area. We highly recommend this cabin if you want to get away from it all!

We loved everything about this cabin. Clean, well furnished, secluded and location location location.
Bravo Zulu!!!

Our stay was wonderful ❤️ It was exactly as the pictures showed. The cabin was clean, warm, quiet and cozy. We are from Maine and are use to the camp style - this space is the perfect blend of rustic Maine camp mixed with modern / not quite "roughing" it luxury. We would definitely visit again and would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet winter getaway in Maine.

Beautiful cabin on the lake in a remote area of Greenville. Nice place to get away and relax.
Robert H. Nov 2021
Amazing location nestled in the woods, noone around for 5 days, close to water, great views, well equipped cabin, very clean and comfortable.

Great property and location.
Jerry B. Jul 2021
The look and feel of the cabin and the spectacular Lake view
Yury P. Jul 2021
The cottage is very clean and well equipped. Everything inside and outside looks like new. Nice view of the Moosehead Lake; swimming and kayaking. Although the next cottage is not far away from us, we did not see them because of trees and bushes in between. One of the best features is that it's located far from main roads on a cape.
The only upsetting thing was a bear skin hanging on the wall. But on the other hand, it was good to remind us about the human nature.
We booked this cabin for the next year!

You can't beat the location. Private, peaceful, beautiful. The cabin has everything you need and it's very clean. The dock was nice. We wish we could have gone swimming but it was cloudy and a little chilly, but the spot looks like a nice place to swim, not mucky, just rocky.
Manager response:
Hi Amanda, we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay!!
Lori M. Jun 2021
Cleanliness was on point, customer service, and overall lovely atmosphere to stay.

Great little cabin deep in the woods. Right on the lake with Generator if Land power goes out. Highly recommended.

My husband and I enjoyed this very quiet, cozy, clean cabin for 3 days. Its sits very close to the water and is quite sweet. Its close to town (Greenville) and has all the amenities needed.
Anita G. Oct 2020
We loved the views from this warm and comfortable cabin of the surrounding lakes and mountains. Even on the rainy and windy day we were happy to remain inside enjoying a book, game of scrabble and a wonderful meal cooked inside.

If you’re looking for a secluded, lovely cabin to unwind in, this is it! Right on the lake, you couldn’t ask for a better location. The cabin is about 5 miles off the main road on a dirt road, when you think you’re lost, just keep going.

The foliage was at peek, it was beautiful. We couldn’t take advantage of the kayaks, it was too cold and very windy.

The cabin is lovely, modern and very clean. The living area is a nice size but the bedroom is very tight.

We ate all our meals in because of Covid, the kitchen was well equipped. Just don’t forget anything from the store!!! The supermarket in Greenville is great.

We definitely look forward to revisiting this cabin next year.

Property is nice, but the listing has multiple errors. "No WiFi"- it does have wi-fi, but it is very slow. (My verizon phone did have good reception). Heating & cooling-
Wood stove
There is no fireplace, but the cabin ACTUALLY has a heating system with a thermostat, would have been nice to know.
We were hoping to have a nightly fire, but you can leave your marshmallows at home THERE IS NO FIRE PIT.
The pictures of the fridge's are no longer accurate. There is no outside fridge, but a small freezer, and small fridge inside.
Washer/dryer : Private.. I am not sure what private means, but there is a combo unit in the bathroom. (Total wash time is over 4hours, but it worked fine.)
The "AGA"stove is beautiful but had no instructions. Even after a week I still didn't know what some of the knobs did?
Manager response:
Hi, Diane! We appreciate your feedback and the opportunity to respond to it. This home does not advertise a fire pit or fireplace, but we do advertise a woodstove as that is what is available. We have asked the homeowner to provide instructions on use of the stove for our guests. The fridge has been removed for cold weather. Thank you!

We absolutely loved the listing—exactly as pictured and super easy check in/check out with a lockbox. The location is great for privacy but also convenient to downtown Greenville, if you don’t mind dirt roads. The only drawback is that the entire listing talks about making s’mores by the lake and this elusive fire pit. There is no fire pit. There is a charcoal grill that we were told can be used as a fire pit. I wouldn’t advise ever using a charcoal grill as a fire pit, but also given the dry conditions this fall, we definitely did not feel safe doing that. We had to go into town and buy our own $80 fire pit. That’s the only reason the listing doesn’t have five stars. Otherwise it’s a total gem and we would definitely stay again (and pack a fire pit of our own, especially for those cool fall nights when it’s too chilly to be outside without one).
Manager response:
We apologize for the error in the listing and have removed 'fire pit' from the listed amenities. Thank you for staying with us!

View was awesome. Cabin was clean and well kept. Small frig and small freezer was added bonus as we asked about frig and was told there was none. Coffee maker is a 12 cup pot. Enjoyed very much
Thomas B. Aug 2020
These cabins are so nice, right on the lake for beautiful views and they are equipped with everything you could possibly need. The decor is typical Northwoods, but with some very interesting artistic additions I found attractive. My only recommendation is they add a sofa or love seat. There was only one recliner and we like to stretch out at night. Also, be aware the road to the cabin from the main road is long (about 15-20 min), but that's the price you pay for privacy. Loved this little cabin!

Location is great. Fairly isolated. Couple other close-by cabins means you’ll see your neighbors. But, open the doors and breathe in and all is well.
Denis D. Jun 2020
We were speechless. It was absolutely amazing. The best getaway. Isolated, far from everything, private, everything you need in the cabin. We are definitely coming back ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
