The Mountain Views Lake home seems to be newly renovated. The views from the home are indeed beautiful and we saw Elk, Moose, foxes, and birds from the porch. The location is perfect as well. We had never been to Rocky Mountain National Park before, or Colorado at all for that mater, but we knew we wanted something less popular than Estes Park. This was the perfect town for us! Quiet enough to feel like a local, but close enough to the park that we hiked every day and had amazing views and wildlife to experience with only a short 5-10 minute drive to the trails. We did take a longer trip one day into the park to travel to the East side and see the sights. While the East side of the park was very beautiful indeed, our family loved having the west side of the park mostly to ourselves.

The only thing I have to say that is a negative at all, is the homeowners seem to be new at renting out the home. I would suggest to the house that adding the green Pay-to-throw trash bags as part of the house amenities would be a good idea, as we had to ask the people in town how to manage trash and then throw away the trash from the renters before us as well. But if the home had instructed us to deal with the trash it wouldn't have been an issue at all.

The other down side was that Google originally sent us the wrong direction to get to the house so there was a misunderstanding about the code to get in, but that was not the home's fault at all, but more user error mixed with Google not being helpful with directions. We traveled around and had google take us a different way and found the house easily after that.

We vacationed with my parents in the master bedroom on the main floor, my husband and I in the upstairs room with the Queen bed, and our 4 kids in the room with the bunk beds. We all fit in the space very well and felt very at home during our stay. We loved our stay and we would definitely choose to rent this home again.

There are spectacular views of the Rockies and/or the lake from every room in the house. The kitchen is well stocked with high quality kitchenware and tools which makes cooking a joy. The appliances are exceptional (gas stove, double oven, excellent dishwasher) and the kitchen is spacious. It is perfect for meals together which makes eating in as nice as dining out. All of the furniture, inside and out, is comfortable and inviting. The wrap around porch is perfect for morning coffee, evening sunsets and catching beautiful views of the stars and surrounding wildlife. The house is only a few minutes from downtown Grand Lake and only a few minutes further to the Rocky Mountain National Park. THIS HOUSE HAS IT ALL, DONT PASS IT UP!!!! We had an incredible experience and highly recommend to anyone. This is a perfect house for a family getaway, even with little ones.

Not the stinky bags of trash in the garage or the dirty oven, coffeemaker or toaster. My advice...get a new cleaning service!
Manager response:
Hi, Robert! Thank you so much for staying with us. We are disappointed to read you were unhappy with the cleaning service. Housekeeping has been working on a deep clean for this home focusing on the areas of concern you brought up. We hope to be able to impress you in the future!
