Beautifully situated on a wooded, corner lot with the mountain light peeking in through the trees, this Madison chalet is a comfortable home base for your New Hampshire adventures come winter, spring, summer, or fall. Whether you're planning a ski trip, a bit of outlet shopping, or a summer on the shores of the Pea Porridge Ponds, you'll have a well-appointed, well-maintained home to return to each afternoon.
Enter on the ground floor and head upstairs to the great room, where the living room, dining space, and kitchen come together under cathedral ceilings and large windows. Grab a swimsuit from the washer/dryer, and step outside onto the wrap-around deck to soak your tired limbs in the private hot tub with a view of the surrounding trees. Back inside, you can warm your toes by the pellet stove in the living room, browse the DVD library and the Netflix offerings on the Smart TV, or use the WiFi to catch up on a bit of work at the desk behind the sofa (there are desks in each of the three bedrooms as well). When mealtime rolls around, you'll find every essential appliance and a vibrant backsplash in the kitchen, a gas grill outside on the deck, and a dining space awash with sunlight. In the evenings, you can bring your loved ones outside to the deck to stargaze and swap stories in the warmth of the propane firepit.
This chalet is located in the Eidelweiss neighborhood of Madison, a wooded district that surrounds Little, Middle, and Big Pea Porridge Ponds. In the summertime, you can stroll to Boulder Beach on Little Pea Porridge Pond less than a quarter-mile down the road, or take a quick drive to Silver Lake (five miles south) or Conway Lake (nine miles east). Come winter, you'll be close to a number of ski areas, including King Pine (eight miles south), Cranmore (11 miles north), Attitash (18 miles northwest), and Shawnee Peak in Maine (23 miles east). This is also a fantastic spot for fall hikes to Cathedral Ledge (13 miles north) and all-seasons shopping excursions at the famous outlets in North Conway (10 miles north).
